Try this. Dh just whacked some protein powder in it.

Not2bObvious · 07/07/2020 11:42

Sounds like a decent amount of food for 1600. I’ve had the Greek yog thing, egg on wholemeal toast. Going to have a wholemeal sambo with ham & cheese with soup for lunch. Chilli/rice/nachos for dinner. That brings me to 1300, 388 left

WreckTangled · 07/07/2020 11:48

I've got Greek yoghurt with strawberries and raspberries plus cinnamon for lunch. Just had a babybel too. Dinner is steak with asparagus and broccoli 😋

ChristmasSeacow · 07/07/2020 13:02

Thanks Em - they look great, and quick to make too. DS usually has a baked treat when he comes home from school, I might knock some of those up!

ememem84 · 07/07/2020 15:30

The recipe is a bit confusing. As it notes all different varieties. But essentially the video shows what you do.

Not2bObvious · 07/07/2020 17:11

Holding out for dinner time here, starving! Hasn’t stopped raining all day, blooming miserable weather. Just over 14,500 steps, but I owe a 1000 from yesterday to stay on track. More marching on the spot to be done

Resisted treats in Aldi with dc
This is my food, doing one full week on Unislim app instead of mfp, see how I go.
Snacks were quark passion fruit and Pepsi max.
I didn't eat weetabix for breakfast I had weetabix crunchy bran as I found it in Lidl for first time ever, this is a big team rh item!!

I'll catch up with you guys tomo ds is nagging me to get going Hmm

Does it taste of bran or wheatabix happier? Can't stand wheatabix

Not2bObvious · 07/07/2020 20:19

How you finding the unislim app? I did unislim briefly back in the days before apps/smartphones - can’t remember the method? I’m sure it’s all changed now. Must keep an eye out for crunchy bran, lidl opens at 8am about a mile from me, might us it as a morning steps’pedition
Around 1570 cals so 97 in the bank, on 1668 not 1688 as I previously thought.

WreckTangled · 07/07/2020 20:24

Had a really nice steak for dinner. Unfortunately I got dh to cook which means there was lots of huffing and some wasted veg as he boiled tenderstem broccoli and asparagus ffs. 🤮

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/07/2020 21:15

Hate over boiled veg. Bleurgh.
65 under and 16500 steps. Will do a fbw tomorrow

ememem84 · 07/07/2020 22:09

Mfp has me on 2130 calories.

We did my bmi calculation and I came in the overweight category. I’m 173cm and 75.8kg. So apparently overweight.

Finished the day with 1146 left. But it adjusts for exercise. I’ve done 13466 steps today.

No run tomorrow. Rest day. Then gym on Thursday.

Not2bObvious · 08/07/2020 10:28

No crunchy bran in my local lidl, boo!!! I really wanted to try it, I’d been keeping an eye out for it in Tesco but nope. Nearly 7,000 steps though for the wander so that’s a bonus. Day 3 of reduced cals, fairly busy day with work & family stuff so with luck that’ll keep me on track. It’s only 132 cals less but since I rarely managed to stick to the 132 more on weekends, I’m going to have to focus. Not drinking wine tomorrow for sure so that helps stop the overspend of cals even before the weekend starts

Hi all, was feeling a bit yuck today, didn't really want to get out of bed. But did and realised the reason why, I have a period again even though that is 3 in a month!
So have done one of those online forms for the doctor and will just have to wait.
Had a bagel and a filtered coffee for breakfast and went for a run, did feel a bit better for it afterwards.
Anyway lots of work to do today!
Hope you all have a good Wednesday.

LaneBoy · 08/07/2020 12:34

Hi all. Fell off the threads and whatever semblance of wagon I was on! Actually gained the last three weeks. It’s the snacking that crept back up, and I’ve had a nasty (but thankfully short lived) ME flare up so I had to stop exercising for a bit too. Just starting to get that back now.

I’m giving MFP a try, but warily as when I tried it years ago it just made me anxious about measuring and eating food that I couldn’t measure. But I do need something that actually makes me think!

Not2bObvious · 08/07/2020 13:29

No wonder you felt yuck curvy, that’s a lot of stress on your body. Your iron levels could be very low?
Welcome back lane, I know what you mean about mfp making you anxious. Maybe just keep a food journal and try for 3 meals, 2 snacks sort of thing? If you don’t lose after a couple of weeks you could consider mfp. You were doing great before, maybe just recommitting to this will be enough to get you back on track

Happierwithouthim · 08/07/2020 13:32

Boo not will I post you a box? I've to go in to return ds's school shoes anyhow at the weekend

Life it definitely doesn't taste like weetabix (I wouldn't eat it if it did!) but doesn't taste like all bran or malted wheaties either. I don't really eat cereal. The nearest thing on app was 60g all bran so I'm having 60g of it with roasted almond unsweetened milk & i'm full until lunch with some fruit at 10am which I wouldn't usually be.

I'm getting used to the app, it's not as intuitive as mfp and you can't put in half portions of stuff but it's grand. I paid €30 and month is nearly up I've watched one class & rocked away by myself so giving it socks this week to see whether I'll renew or not.

It's free foods, half plate veg, quarter protein & a wholemeal carb plus bites for extras

Steps are so so

Not2bObvious · 08/07/2020 14:00

You’re very good happier, and I’ve a few other Lidl’s on my shopping route I can try.
Finding the Greek yog/fruit/nut bar sprinkle working very well for keep me full. Cals are around 1250 and nearly main macros hit

Happierwithouthim · 08/07/2020 15:59

13.2g fibre in my brekkie, just checked mfp.

Happierwithouthim · 08/07/2020 16:02

I started cooking veg again other than just peppers & onions & I'm feeling full after my dinners.

Yesterdays dinner was roast chicken breast on bone with 60g stuffing, onions, gravy, sweet potato cubes, broccoli & carrot. Dd said the carrot was nicest she'd ever had!

Going to do beef stir fry with a spice kit I picked up in Aldi aisle of doom tonight. I've accumulated a lot of noodles for some reason

Not2bObvious · 08/07/2020 17:59

That’s excellent on the fibre, was that just the crunchy bran or the fruit too?
I couldn’t finish my helping of dinner so I’m a bit low on protein now but I’ve calories to spare so I’ll find something before bed to remedy it.

OP posts:
LaneBoy · 08/07/2020 18:34

Yep been writing down what I eat for a while, tend to do even worse when I don’t 😳 but there’s no numbers with it to motivate me I guess?

I’ve managed most of the day, used a cycling calculator thing to work out calories on the exercise bike so that will be easy to input from now on :) I don’t have a Fitbit so will be relying on google to figure out other exercise.

Dinner was tricky as I wasn’t the one cooking and the chicken thing had a portion by weight rather than piece so I had to estimate with a calculator :o that’s the bit that stressed me out last time (not knowing if I’ve got it under/over) so I’m not sure how it’ll go long term but I definitely need to do something to keep me on track more, and I think it’ll encourage me to be more sensible with the snacks and remind me to drink more water and exercise too

WreckTangled · 08/07/2020 19:01

100 cals under at the moment.

Babybel
Pepperami

Two Linda McCartney sausages with roasted cauliflower bit of mayo
Total yoghurt with strawberries

Birdseye pea protein burger with roasted tenderstem broccoli and asparagus plus some feta and a mint yoghurt sauce

Two squares of 85% chocolate.

Leaving 130 on the table, on 12,000 - ugg the thoughts of trying to get another 3,000

I managed to get my hands flat on the ground when touching my toes earlier on. It was short lived and a bit painful but I'm really pleased Grin my aim is to be able to do it properly by September. Hopefully that's a reasonable goal if I continue with my Pilates.
