Lane I think that could work well for you. No snacking and 8 hour eating window but you can still be flexible with those 8 hours or even make it 10 hours if you're having a hungry day.

WreckTangled · 14/07/2020 18:14

Lane I think 16:8 might work well for you. It's completely flexible in when you have the 8 hours and if you're having a hungry day no harm in upping it to 14:10.

Good day here. I did have a biscuit at work and also I've made a cake but it's low carb and I've added it as a good to MFP so has all the macros in it. Had a filling dinner and am on about 900 cals.

WreckTangled · 14/07/2020 18:15

Sorry for double post my app is playing up!

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/07/2020 20:14

That sound like a good plan lane . No need for precise tracking but roughly lower calories a couple of days.

Not2bObvious · 14/07/2020 20:41

That’s a very nice loss lane, no need for mfp if that’s how you’re doing. 16:8, or 14:10 are great options too.
I have 200 left, going to finish my cuppa before I decide whether I need to use them. Had my snack of pretzels/skinny whip and a chocolate biscuit, was reaching for a second one but thought I’d wait & see. Finding I’m too quick to fill my gob before I decide if I really need it. This increased fibre might kill my family though, just sayingBlush

Managed a run today. Closed all the rings on my watch. And got my 10,000 steps. Wahoooo!!

Same again tomorrow.

Haven’t weighed today but will do in the morning because I’m in bed now and cba to get up.

A few snacks today but nothing major.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2020 06:55

Don't weigh on a night em. Always morning. Before your eat or drink and after your wee.

Down today but yesterday was a struggle not to eat the world. Can't fit a weight class as planned as hair cut day. Will bump to tomorrow

Not2bObvious · 15/07/2020 08:20

I was aghast when I thought you’d weigh yourself at night em, you’re so funny life, sounds like you were the same! You forgot to say stark naked and breathe out too, take off glasses/hair bobbins/rings - gone a bit far now I did!
I have been known to do a nighttime weigh so I know that it’s never going to be that bad in the morning.
I’m down .4 from yesterday so getting ever so slightly into the 150’s, saw a flicker of 158.8 but it settled on 159.4 - very pleased. Up since 5’ish baking, kitchen cleaning and doing walkie talkies, so I’ve over 9,000. Should be more but the other activities slowed me down, it was totally worth it though. Clean kitchen, lovely cake, sitting down with a cuppa before work at 9

Oh I sometimes weigh myself at nighttime but usually as life says as soon as I get up after my wee.

What I have noticed is if I weigh after toilet and then again after shower I’m heavier. Because hair is wet maybe??

75.5kg this morning. I absolutely think my scales were wrong weeks ago. There is no way that 3-4 weeks ago I weighed close to 80kg.

What’s a “walkie talkie”?

ememem84 · 15/07/2020 08:53

Is it just as simple as dance walk get moving?

I’ve seen on insta that the organised mum methods Gemma is aiming for 20,000 steps a day this week. I struggle some days with 10k

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2020 09:16

It's doing steps while listening to some one talking.

I thought naked might be a step too far. I don't do naked weight ins.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2020 09:17

El does one each day for example

WreckTangled · 15/07/2020 09:33

I always weigh naked. Morning routine: get up, strip, wee, weigh, get in shower Grin

Pilates done. It was just a stretch one which I needed really.

Not2bObvious · 15/07/2020 09:54

Every gram counts, hence the nakedness. Definitely take my glasses off through so reflection in bathroom mirror doesn’t scare me😂
My bestie and me always did walkie talkies for years, ring each other & go for a walk. Then when I joined Team RH it became a handy way of getting steps (except they’re becoming like a badly informed informercial these days) I aim for 15,000 em but it can be a grind
I’m now on 12,500 - quick walk to the shop and then back & mopped the floors. Blooming sweating!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2020 10:10

I agree not.
I just walk and put music on now. Or embarrassing the DC by cheesy pop or rock dancing in their vicinity.

WreckTangled · 15/07/2020 11:34

I made low carb tortilla wraps from scratch! Pretty pleased with them. Going to have one for lunch. Dinner is going to be chicken breast stuffed with pesto and sun dried tomatoes. Not sure if I should bother putting the mozzarella in this time considering it disappeared last time.

Not2bObvious · 15/07/2020 11:46

Could you share the recipe wreck? Finding I’m inadvertently leaning towards low carb with this bout of dieting

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 15/07/2020 11:49

this one

ememem84 · 15/07/2020 11:54

ah ha. i'm joining team rh then maybe.

i'm walking to pick the kids up from nursery today. it should take me an hour. and will pump up my steps. i'm chained to the laptop today which isn't really great.

toast and apple and haf for breakfast. loads of water bits of broken digestive biscuits (chocolate ones) for snack and am making fishy finger wraps for lunch. yummy.

went for a run last night. week 4 c25k. never in my life thought i could run continuously for 5 minutes. turns out i can. so really pleased with that.

am working to close al the rings on my watch this month. its more difficult when Im wfh though re activity. when im in the office i can get around 12000 steps a day.

Not2bObvious · 15/07/2020 12:05

Did you use xanthan gum wreck? I’m not sure if I’d find it easily here or if I did if I’d ever use it again

Not2bObvious · 15/07/2020 12:08

You can join the free group em and there’s loads of stuff like that. I’m a saddo I like having someone chatting, working on my own these days and it’s lonely. Like starting the day with the convo even if there’s bits that have me yelling at the phone😂

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 15/07/2020 12:31

Yes I did. It's in a lot of low carb recipes. I think I got it in a health food shop but can get in Tesco here too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/07/2020 13:02

Yy join the free group em. See what you think about it first.
I'm not feeling well today so had toast for lunch. I've tried almond milk but it's been open since Saturday and made feel sick. It was after drinking it so think it's that

LaneBoy · 15/07/2020 13:41

I like the idea of a walkie talkie :o I enjoy using the exercise bike while watching telly :o

Thanks for thoughts re the 16:8 - yes will definitely consider dropping to 14 or 15 if it’s too much sometimes, I’ve just had my third and it was hard but it’s surprising how I’ve gone “past” the carb cravings by the time I eat again as I really thought I’d be stuffing my face at the first opportunity :o. Luckily I don’t like tea/coffee so just drinking water in the 16h is easy.

I really need to increase my steps - generally I’m really inactive and I have to admit anxiety is getting in the way of just going out for a walk. I walked down to town a few times last week but dare I admit the mask requirement puts me off. Obviously I will use one when I do go (I could claim exemption as I’m autistic but I would feel bad anyway) but it means it won’t be a relaxing thing anymore IYSWIM.

I’m hoping I can get used to doing my workout in the mornings again. :o
