I am struggling with the last stone, which is now more like a stone and a half since lockdown 🙄
What one single thing did you which most helped with weight loss?
Drinking more water?
Cutting out bread?
???
Thanks

Fasting for 16 hours a day

JeanMichelBisquiat · 17/06/2020 06:38

800 calories a day, eating window between 12 and 6 ish, and low carb. Went from about 61 kilos to 52 kilos in a few weeks.

However, the weight does creep back on, though only by a couple of kilos, so I have to keep a vague eye on things. Being small with a (nowadays) naturally low calorie requirement is the pits Smile

Eating more or less the same meals every day works very well for me, as long as they're nutritious. It means I stop thinking about food, it becomes something that's not important, just fuel.
The other big tip is not buying 'crap' in the first place if you are tempted by it. No multipacks of sweets or crisps, no big tubs of ice cream in the freezer, if you want a treat you walk to the shop and buy just one.
Walking as much as possible helps as well, and things like climbing stairs instead of using lifts. All those extra calories used add up over the day.

Skip breakfast, two proper meals a day, no snacks.

My fitness pal.... logging food and exercise.

Definitely cutting out all the beige carbs, all the time. After 5 years, I’m almost used to it!

I lost 20kg cutting out alcohol (& the carbs), but my willpower doesn’t extend to full time no booze. That bit I can’t seem to get used too!

Portion control.

I also swapped any potatoe side for copious amounts of salad with low cal mayo.

4 st 2lb lost in just over 6 months.

@Igtg

Going to bed hungry.

I had a piece of toast every evening at about 10pm but if I deny the urge it does make a difference.

Have you explored why you're hungry at night? If you've eaten enough during the day, you shouldn't have to go to bed hungry.

Absolutely no snacking, ever. It's not so bad once you get used to it and "allowing" occasional snacks always means you eat more than you think you do.

JustJayne69 · 19/06/2020 10:09

Stopped snacking and cut out carbs.
