oh, too many posts since last posted! I have just been frying DH and I some chips and we really nearly set the kitchen on fire, the whole hob was on fire, the chip pan - everything! There's a sign if ever I saw one! Will have a scroll in a min. Apart from the near chip experience, I have been pretty good today - well, a bowl of weetos.

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 23/09/2007 09:50

morning all... kebab was lovely last night, had lamb shish (sp?) with salad although i must confess to having a few chips on the side onlt other thing i had yesterday was a chicken salad sandwich so not completely disasterous!

Eddas · 23/09/2007 10:15

omg ladyofwaffle, how scary. Definately a sign

DTLDTK, i'm sure a few chips won't hurt!

Right, well I cheated but only beacuse i weighed myself this morning, but [gri n] I was 12stone 10 on tuesday and now it says................................................................................................ .................................................................................................... .........................

12st 4 yay yay

OMG< well done!!! What day is weigh in day? I need to crash diet! I want to lose at least 2lbs this week

LadyOfWaffle · 23/09/2007 14:17

Aha, are we weight in on Thursdays?

Eddas · 23/09/2007 15:07

Thank you

I think we're going for a monday weigh in. I started the original thread last tues(had to make a new one though as someone complained about the title [rolling eyes emticon]

You don't have to do it this week if you don;t want, could do tomorrow as your start weight if you like?

OP posts:
Eddas · 23/09/2007 15:07

Oh and please don't crash diet, would hate to be the cause of any collapses

OP posts:
sugar34plum · 23/09/2007 15:54

morning all or rather afternoon!

did have a couple of profiteroles last night but in my defence my monthly torture is here and i needed it!

Not going to even weigh myself till next monday as i know this will show i have put a few pounds on.

apart rom profiteroles i have been v good have roast today but wont have any spuds just the chicken and veggies.

Im shocked at my own willpower!!

How is everyone else?

Eddas · 23/09/2007 16:10

i'm v at my willpower, normally leaves me as soon as I even think about a diet

I'm doing a roast for tonight, yum, can't wait, smells lovely! I have done far too many roasties but nevermind.

I think part of my problem is that since I met dh my portion sizes have increased far too much. I realised that I don't need to eat as much as I do. When I lived at home for example i'd have 2 sausages, now I have 4 and one of my aims is to reduce how much I eat. I figure even if i cook a bit too much I can leave it in the kitchen and put a smaller amount on the plate, then if I want more I can have more IYSWIM. Then in time i may work out how much to cook without any wastage.

Last night we had spag bol, normally I have loads of cheese on it. I didn't last night and it was just as yum, I hope these small changes will help the weight

Must remember to do a meal plan soon and order the weekly shop online(hoping this will save cash and help the chocolate falling in the trolley syndrome)

I just know all my 'plans' will die off soon, but am really wishing this will be the time I change and stay that way

hello all - I am eddas mate in rl (in fact she is godmother to dd2) and have known her for far too many years but she was telling me about this thread the other day ( we are both self confessed mn addicts) so I decided I needed join but had to wait till today as we had lots of nice food in fridge!!

I have gradually got heavier since moving in with dh (dp then 8 years ago) but 2 children in 2.4 years means I have got into a comfort food zone and I need to sort it out.

So.............having eaten my lovely roast and chocolate pudding as of midnight I am cutting out 99% of my chocolate intake, aiming to walk a bit more, eat some more veg/less chips and have smaller portion sizes.

DD1 and DH are currently searching the house for the scales so I can track my weight each week and my dad has promised me a gorgeous pair of boots I want (but cant afford) if I lose 2stone by Christmas (plus it'll be nice to look slimmer in the christmas photos and dd2 1st birthday pics in january)

Eddas · 23/09/2007 17:06

hi EAH

glad you decided to join in

the plan, as much as it is!, is to weigh in eahc monday. Some of us started last week so will be aiming to see how much of a loss there is tomorrow but some will do the start weight tomorrow/have already weighed and will do the first loss weigh in the week after

OP posts:
eandh · 23/09/2007 17:07

this is my meal plan this week

Today roast lamb and trimmings

Monday - ham salad and jacket pots for me and dh/left over lamb and veg for dd'd

Tuesday - Spag Bol (except me as I dont like it!) so probably salad and chicken

Wednesday - cod fillets and either wedges (dh/dd1) or mini jackets (me) and peas

Thursday - Sausage and mash

Friday - dd's at my mums (am at work) takeaway for me and dh (prob kebab and just have chicken meat and salad and no dressing)

Saturday - Chicken casserole/breasts and something
maybe bit like home made chow mein thing

eandh · 23/09/2007 17:08

have banished all chocolate except dd1's who wouldnt let me near it if I tried, popped to tesco earlier got loads of fruit and veg

Eddas · 23/09/2007 17:11

sounds like you have it all planned, as usual

Doing my meal plan later! I'm trying to cut down on bread/potatoes aswel, not overkeen on potaotes anyway and have switched to brown rice/pasta and bread

gotta go dd needing a word

OP posts:
Eddas · 23/09/2007 17:20

hey all, been having quite a good day so far. ham salad (brown bread) sandwich and satsuma for lunch and got roast chicken for dinner... Eddas i'm exactly the same with postion sizes am sure i don't understand the meaning of "full up"!
anyway have been looking in the cupboard for some low fat meal ideas and stumbled accross toast toppers (anyone remember them?) which are surprisingly low in calories- chicken/mushroom one 71 cals and 1.78 fat per tin! just thought i'd share.
Oh and Hi to eandh

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 23/09/2007 17:47

Toast toppers obviously not the best dinner but good for lunch or supper i guess!

Charlee · 23/09/2007 19:49

Right first off well done to all you guys who have managed to stay on track.

I am however going to restart this whole thing tommorrow as i have had a slump this weekend and it was DP's birthday today so wh had a meal (although i only ate the steak and mushrooms) but seriously i am going to really focus and take each day at a time.

I am due on today and have wicked period pains but i feel if i can get through a day at a time with not larding out then i will feel positive and therfeore beable to carry on, iyswim so i will wiegh at the end of the week if thats ok?
I suffer from Bipolar so so have savage mood swings which i think may contribute to my eating patterns but i am determined to control it, it will take time but i will do it! (with some help of course)

LadyOfWaffle · 23/09/2007 20:05

I said my start weight - it's Quootiepie (sorry, get's confusing with this name!) x

Eddas · 23/09/2007 20:19

Hi charlee & ladyofwaffle

Charlee, sounds like you have a lot to deal with, weigh in whenever you like. The list was just an idea to focus my attention. I'm hoping that telling you lot every week will make me lose weight(you're cheaper than weight watchers)

ladyofwaffle, I have your starting weight, is this your new mn name?

OP posts:
doublethelovedoublethekisses · 23/09/2007 20:23

Charlee I'm on now and have really struggled since i started... if i can just avoid putting any thing on this week i'll be happy!
LadyOfWaffle... i'm still farly new to all this do you mean you are the same person as quootiepie? if so how do you name change? oh help am so confused!!

LadyOfWaffle · 24/09/2007 00:03

Not a name change forever (I don't think) just fancied a change! I forget people don't "know" me anymore ie. when I start a thread as Quootiepie then waffle on (see where I got it from?) as LadyOfWaffle on it they may get a tad confused. Erm, if you go into your registration, scroll down to your name and just put a new one in and save. Your old one will still be yours, I have tons of names (Christmas, halloween etc.)

Charlee · 24/09/2007 06:48

Bollocks - I had all the niggle 'period' type pains but they have gone now and i am now officially late, i am putting all the emotional side to PMT and nothing more!

[Charlee's fingers are crossed so tightly praying shes not pg that she fears they may break]

But still healthy eating start here!

Eddas · 24/09/2007 07:43

Charlee, fingers crossed you get af soon(seems like that's what you'd prefer)

Right so to start the list, I eeighed this morning and it was more than yesterday, which is weird But I will stick to what they say today which is :

-Eddas - Loss 4 lbs

ANyone who wants to weigh today let me know and i'll put you on the list(or you can copy and paste it to your message) anyone who's waiting til next monday/later in the week/or not going to weigh, just ignore. Just pleased so many of you have joined me

Thanks, i really do think this will make the difference to me. Like I said before it's cheaper than weight watchers

If there's anyone else reading who wants to join, don't worry about joining, I started the original thread last week so we've not been going long!

OP posts:
eandh · 24/09/2007 08:20

morining - I have been good so far! Had 2 glasses of water and 2 boiled eggs and piece of wholemeal toast for breakfast, made a cup of tea at 5.45 when dd2 got up but resisted the normal temptation to have a biscuit with it!
