So here's the new thread for tomorrow, excuse the boring title. Unless a miracle happens by tomorrow, I will be starting the month heavier than I started April. Weigh 9st1.5. Aiming for 8st13. Hopefully things might start to change in May. even if its only slightly, which will lift our spirits.

  • can't make it work for me I mean
Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 22/05/2020 14:10

Well done @MonsteraCheeseplant! That's great 😃.
I was a primary teacher for 10 years, @Octopus37 😂 I now lecture undergrads.

Today's food so far:
B. Porridge, berries, almonds, coffee 220
L. Salami, cheese, apple, celery cream cheese watermelon juice (370)
Dinner plan chicken in Parma ham roast veg & chips
Obviously I'll have a snack at some point too.
I've discovered that a square of Waitrose dark choc has hardly any carbs in it, they're only 58 calories too. That and them tiny slices of Warburton whole meal bread that are 55 calories each are my discoveries of the week.

EndlessUserName · 22/05/2020 14:25

Sounds like a great menu @iggle

I saw a recent recipe for coffee oats! It sounded so nice, I'll see if I can link

I think I'll make it tomorrow as a naice (but healthy) weekend breakfast, like someone suggested to me here months ago! (Thank you!)

I've eaten some high cal but not filling foods today, annoying!

My latest discovery is lindor chocolate balls. I've always loved them, but I love especially how they're individually wrapped and expensive, so I'll only eat one or two in the evening :)

TheHoundsofLove · 22/05/2020 14:40

We‘ve got a Lindt shop near to us and the Lindor pic n mix is amazing! Smile

EndlessUserName · 22/05/2020 14:53

Amazing!

TheHoneyBadger · 22/05/2020 19:56

Bagel with thin smear of peanut butter then cravings followed by a massive bowl of dry roasted peanuts. Now stuffed.

I’m having a glass of red and deciding what the plan is for tomorrow. I’d like to fast on Sunday so may aim for a couple of healthy nutritious meals tomorrow and no junk.

TheHoneyBadger · 22/05/2020 20:01

Must stop buying dry roasted peanuts.

EndlessUserName · 22/05/2020 21:46

D today - gnocchi, tomato based sauce with chickpeas and sea bream

My plan tomorrow

B - small pastry (about 180kcal), berries
L - fish finger sandwich, salad
D - spag bol which is ¾ veg

Hope you all have a nice weekend, usually weekends are my downfall but hopefully will keep control this weekend

MonsteraCheeseplant · 22/05/2020 22:11

B: Yoghurt
L: Soup
D: Greek yoghurt pizza
S: Jam doughnut, half a kinder bueno, a digestive thin biscuit

No take away this weekend 'cos DH has been plateauing for the last 2 weeks so wants to push through.

EndlessUserName · 23/05/2020 06:54

That sounds nice @MonsteraCheeseplant

Which yogurts do you like?

And what is a Greek yogurt pizza?!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 23/05/2020 07:28

For breakfast I just have raspberry and cranberry yoghurt either Lidl's own (94 cals) or Muller light (82 cals). I'm a creature of habit so don't mind having the same thing every day.

Greek yoghurt pizza is pizza made from greek yoghurt! It's so low calorie for a dinner you can top it with whatever you want. It's totally delicious. When making the dough, I recommend initially using a spoon to stir the yoghurt and flour together until they're combined to save your hands, and have flour to roll out on and sprinkle if necessary to make it the right (not too sticky) consistency. It is a delicate dough though so you can't treat it like usual pizza dough.

Greek Yoghurt Pizza
1 serving, rolled out to about outstretched hand size. ~ 391 calories all in.
50g self-raising flour
85g low fat Greek yoghurt.
Topped with passatta (with some nice herbs in),
32g grated cheese
55g mushrooms
40g red peppers
15 mins in the oven at around 260c

Octopus37 · 23/05/2020 07:38

Morning, that pizza recipe sounds nice Monstera. Half term it is so no home schooling, yay. It was take away day yesterday, so 9st3.75 this morning, will hopefully go down, but having cake for my Sister's Birthday on zoom later so we''ll see.

That's a great recipe! @MonsteraCheeseplant

Enjoy the cake @octopus, all normal fluctuations, you're doing so well :)

I just had the coffee oats made with some milk but mostly water, it was really really nice!

TheHoneyBadger · 23/05/2020 09:19

Morning. New low of 14:9 which I’m surprised at. I think I’ve lost 6lbs in May which is not a lot and I’m surprised I’ve stayed positive despite having a long plateau.

I’d lost a bit at the end of last month but can’t remember when/what so am counting from May 1st when I was 15,1.

My first victory really was to stop gaining weight as it seemed like it was just piling on since my surgery last year and I felt totally out of control and gutted by being stones heavier than I’d been even when pregnant.

In an ideal world I’ll lose another couple of lbs before I head back into potential premenstrual plateau world.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 23/05/2020 09:53

That's 2lbs a week, no? @TheHoneyBadger? That's the ideal rate for weight loss?! Congratulations! We've still got another week of May too so keep going.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 23/05/2020 10:25

Morning all! I managed to stay under calories yesterday and did a couple of long walks. Everyone is dying to get deliveroo wagamama now it's back on so we'll get that for tea. Will require some planning calorie wise.

TheHoneyBadger · 23/05/2020 12:46

Seriously jealous of being within deliverable distance of wagamamas!

I know monster but I thought when you’re really fat it comes off quicker and most of the month was stuck at the same-ish weight.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 23/05/2020 14:23

@MonsteraCheeseplant you've lost a stone and that's great! Always best to focus on the absolute number and not the weekly fluctuations. I'm hoping to be with you by the time I weigh in next!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 23/05/2020 14:24

Yes @TheHoneyBadger we are in a good location for general stuff. Cities suit me well for all sorts of reasons, less ideal during a lock down though!

TheHoneyBadger · 23/05/2020 14:41

True I’ve been glad to be in a village for lockdown.

Just had lovely garlic crackers with halloumi and pickled gherkin. Delicious. I was headed towards the dry roasted peanuts and stopped myself.

TheHoundsofLove · 23/05/2020 14:44

Wagamamas takeaway sounds awesome!
All the restaurants and cafes are open again here and it's so lovely to see everyone sat outside them eating and drinking again! Grin

EndlessUserName · 23/05/2020 15:51

That's brilliant progress! @TheHoneyBadger

MonsteraCheeseplant · 23/05/2020 17:01

13lbs in total which is amazing to be fair. Thanks.

So I'm having a hungry day. Starving. Fantasizing about food and bingeing. Sad Can't wait for dinner. Don't know why. I had a bigger breakfast than my usual yoghurt.
B: Toast and honey
L: soup
D: Spaghetti Bolognese
S: kinder bueno piece, strawberries. I dunno what else I might snack on tbh. We'll see how it goes.

EndlessUserName · 23/05/2020 17:09

Ooh congratulations @monstera too, sorry I missed that

Sometimes I find going to bed early to read helps me stop snacking

MonsteraCheeseplant · 23/05/2020 18:10

I figured out that a quarter of this big chocolate Swiss roll is 100 calories.
