I think there are yoga instructors who are also physios might be worth looking into?

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 15:54

Done yoga a number of times over the years, tried to like it but between my horrible inflexibility & racing brain I can’t get on with. Maybe a different strain like Pilates might be beneficial, I shall investigate

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 15:55

Sorry I get what you mean now happier, yeah good idea

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 07/02/2020 16:39

I'm not able for it due to busy brain either, it was pilates I tried.

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 16:47

Ouf, Pilates boring too? I started with pregnancy yoga, I thought I’d cry! Tried twice more and then again last year but it was on too late and I was just dreadful at it. I had hoped it’d help me sleep but nope just bored me rigid - so much of my life is boring, cannot add any more😂

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 07/02/2020 18:26

I just found it patronising

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 18:45

I dislike being patronised nearly as much as being bored

It's a take away baker that started in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are famous for sausage rolls and pasties. Cheap and delicious bacon role though.

Salad from pret a manger which I only visit in London.

Sounds like it could be worse for the back.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/02/2020 18:48

I don't mind Pilates but it had to be with the right instructor which took a few classes to find.
I also am not a visual thinker so never see a forest glade and all that caper. Just an ironing pile and a to do list.

Pants food day. That's ok. Expected when traveling. 12k steps though.

Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 18:55

Yeah cheap for cals too, 337 for something proper tasty is reasonable.
My teenager is testing us, sigh

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 07/02/2020 21:00

Over cals, that breaks my streak! Might have to send me to bed to avoid making it worse. Out for dinner tomorrow night, will need to be angelic during the day so I’ve enough cals

Hi all.
Weight sts.
Steps 25716, went shopping on my own, spent my birthday money on some new clothes.
Food has been ok today.

I'm going to a party tomorrow and will probably eat bloody loads!

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2020 07:21

Sts ish

Happierwithouthim · 08/02/2020 07:23

Sts this morning

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2020 09:32

Wavering between 159-159.2, but it stuck on 159.2 so up .2
I’d say I’ll have a flux tomorrow if I’m out for dinner tonight. Whether or not I decide to record it will be decided tomorrow. I kind of feel like it’s cheating if I don’t but on the other hand owning a 2-3 temp gain is infuriating when you’ve been working hard. I’ve been under a bit more days & only over by 136 yesterday, done my steps every day. We shall see

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 08/02/2020 10:12

It's so frustrating for that flux to ruin your average.
I'm debating a glass of wine tonight but then the bottle will be open & it'll be a waste plus the scales will be up, maybe I'll have a Jameson instead?

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2020 10:32

Go for the Jameson then. I’m on for a 1.9 loss if I stay at 159’ish. Haven’t had a loss like that in forever!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/02/2020 12:07

Weight sts ish, it was fluctuating like made between 12s and 12s1! And I feel very fat today.
My periods are weird, it has just been spotting until yesterday when it changed to medium flow, so now I feel all bloated again.
I'm going to a 40th party tonight, with the kids, I won't drink loads, I will have one or two, but I know the food will be brilliant and that will be my downfall!
So I'm going to have a carby dinner, maybe a jacket potato or beans on toast.

northender · 08/02/2020 15:38

Some good results around. Not mine this week, I was up 3 pounds, but not too downhearted as I'd had a consistent week. Splurged a bit with wine last night & breadsticks & dip, but otherwise okay. Had had a bad week at work and then had a hard time with ds, hence the splurge. Today has been better, I took him to an apprenticeship event and he has now decided what he wants to do after A levels & his year out.
Not a physio trained in Pilates would be a good shout for your back.
Happier we are going to Tobago, our first far flung holiday since Trinidad & Tobago 19 years ago when pregnant with ds!

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2020 16:59

In not tracking today or making good choices. Been for a walk though.
Will be back Monday for a restart (to the power of eleventy million)

Not2bObvious · 08/02/2020 17:12

Change of plan due to bad weather, might have a takeaway though. No point getting dressed up to be drowned by gales & torrential rain like we have here. Bit picky this afternoon, just a hungry day

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 08/02/2020 21:12

Don’t need to go out to go over - 800, oops!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/02/2020 23:27

Hi all.
Well didn't make it to the party as my little one had a seizure that was very different from her normal ones and lasted for at least four minutes, I've never been so scared.
Called an ambulance, went to hospital, had an ECG, and blood tests. They were thinking of keeping her in, but because her ECG was fine and the first bit of the blood test came back normal, we could go home.
I will get a call tomorrow, hopefully, to see if anything is abnormal.
The dr will let her nurse and consultant know. We went to the hospital were she is under, so I'm guessing that will make communication faster.
Am exhausted, but just really bloody glad she is ok.

northender · 09/02/2020 07:50

I agree Not. Ds made a cheesecake & so I had to sample it!
My back & neck have been playing up this week so I'm just deciding whether to go and do a gym class or have another rest day.

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2020 07:55

Curvy that sounds so scary, hopefully you'll get some answers

I had a 0% cider while I was out for dinner so didn't bother with Jameson, hopefully scales will reward me Grin

North sorry to hear your ds is being a pain
