That’s a lot lane, glad you got your diagnosis and the medication helped but before that it must have been a struggle in many counts. And ME as well, flip, hats off for keeping it off. I think you deserve a lot of credit!
Back from the shops, got over 14,000 done and mood lifted a bit. Realised totm is impending so the horrible doom feeling isn’t just the doom. Had a nice shower and will get down to do some work in a bit. There’s nothing time critical so I’m going to take it easy. Haven’t had brekkie yet, might as teen to make me guacamole - she loves making it and I love it with egg & toast. Everyone might be a winner😉

Hi Lane! Great to have you with us.
That is such a great loss well done.
Do you have an end goal, or just taking it day by day?

Weight is almost back to normal, it is jumping between a lb.

Had porridge with frozen berries stirred though it, it was lovely.

Not2bObvious · 15/04/2020 11:21

That’s good curvy, I weighted again after some, ahem, movement and I’m around the same as yesterday so initial weigh in was a bit artificially high.
Feeling more human after food

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 15/04/2020 11:48

Not, the movement is very important!

We will be going to the park a bit later, that should blow some of the cobwebs away!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2020 12:21

Been for a bike ride with DS. Saddle sore from yesterday.

Hey lane welcome aboard

Not2bObvious · 15/04/2020 15:22

Gorgeous day for a bike ride or the park. I’ve been step mad today, on 20,000 but that’s it now. Running errands on foot really adds up. Having a lie down now with a cuppa, avoiding temptation.
Looking forward to dinner in a couple of hours, hope to stay a bit more controlled with the eating. That’s the hope at least

Happierwithouthim · 15/04/2020 19:50

Saw a drop of 1.5lbs this morning, only 2 pints water yet today so lots to cram in before bedtime Wink

Lane wow great weight loss , I know you weren't feeling well , lucky your meds have had a positive effect.

Curvy I also had porridge today with some yummy sultanas thrown in

Are you feeling a bit better life dd would love me to get a bike, I really hate cycling though, her dads after getting one now so hopefully I'm off the hook.

Not great to be able to do errands on foot. We now live close enough to walk to a shop and will at house I'm buying too so it'll be a good way of getting steps in plus should reduce cost of top up shop when it has to be carried a km home Grin

Porridge with last of Easter egg mixed in and king prawn curry with jar of light korma sauce mixed in, including two birds eye chilli & peppers onion & spinach with a nest of egg noodles is sum total of my eating today

Happierwithouthim · 16/04/2020 12:16

Sts again this morning

Not2bObvious · 16/04/2020 13:39

Sts here too. Pretty much maintaining 164 over the last few weeks. That’s not a disaster

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2020 17:06

No shame in maintain

Not2bObvious · 16/04/2020 19:06

As the secret slimpod’ers say, they also say no shame in a gain so I’m covered either way which is handy.
Eaten quite a lot of rubbish as dinner was deeply disappointing.

LaneBoy · 16/04/2020 22:45

Aww thanks so much all for the lovely welcome 💐😍

Don’t have a goal really. As long as the scale is lower each week (I just weigh in on Mondays) I’m fairly happy ATM! Really I have at least 3 more stone to lose though.

Pleased today as I did manage a little walk despite feeling really lethargic, and achy from yesterday’s long family walk (the others went while I had online therapy today). Really really want to make sure I get out every day from now on even if it’s just 15min on the bad days.

Mega junk food cravings though 🤔 today was the first time in months I actually felt hangry 😳 really need to get back into my hobbies and do more housework etc to keep busy!

LaneBoy · 16/04/2020 22:49

Anyone else feel insanely hungry after porridge?! I love it but it never keeps me full! I’ve only ever met one other person (DD1’s SENCo 😂) who finds the same 🤔

I hate that TOTM doom feeling Not - DD1 seems to be the same too, anxiety awful the first couple of days

What’s slimpod?

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2020 07:14

Me. I don't get this eat porridge stay full. Doesn't work for me Im hungry much sooner.
I have a huge breakfast of 0% Greek yogurt, bran sticks, raspberry, granola and seeds and I'm ok to lunch. Though I do have s snack habit it's not through hunger.

Not the best food day yesterday. Too much cake, untracked dinner but was pasta do both bloated and calories yesterday.

There’s a podcast I was talking about a while back - the secret world of slimming clubs - it’s 3 women on slimming world. They’ve loads of little quips, no shame in a gain (or maintain) guess who’s nailed dieting etc.
Porridge doesn’t work for me either, only thing that fills me up is lots of food, LOTS. My best strategy to stop me eating is to be kept really busy. And it has to be genuine, like my work. Can’t be arsed with housework or crafts the last few days. Had been doing great with colouring, crochet, baking, even a bit of cleaning. Could be my impending totm is to blame but I’m like a bottomless pit. A big bottomed bottomless pit.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2020 07:56

Same not.

V hungry today. Only toast for breakfast as no shopping until tonight

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 17/04/2020 09:49

Ahh porridge, see when I had it the other day with frozen berries and a brazil nut and a couple of almonds chopped on top and used half water and half alpro coconut milk, it keep me full for ages, I didn't even have lunch.
When I had it yesterday I had it with more water as my milk is running a bit low and fresh berries, it didn't keep me as full as the other day.
Lane what oats are you using? Steel cut oats have the most fibre and should, in theory, keep you full as they are the least processed.

Not2bObvious · 17/04/2020 11:30

I suppose if you’re having enough extra to pump up the protein, like the nuts/milk etc and you eat enough of it - it could be filling. I still think I’ve a bottomless pit where my stomach should be😬
Been busy shopping so didn’t get home/showered & weighed til 10.30, down .8 on yesterday (pure dehydration but I’ll take it) I’ve decided to hold off eating until lunch at 1 as I’ve a big dinner planned.

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 17/04/2020 12:58

Not, yes I think so.
Today for breakfast, which was just before nine, I had 2 LM sausages, some mushrooms, beans and a fried tomato.
I'm still pretty full, so won't need a big lunch. I have salad left over from yesterday so will probably have that.

Not2bObvious · 17/04/2020 17:48

Linda sausages are great, between the protein & the fibre, pretty low cal too. That breakfast would fill me too.
Looking forward to my dinner, will be aiming not to be a piggy fecker

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2020 18:10

I'm really regretting not buying chocolate in Aldi. I know it's for the best though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 17/04/2020 18:30

Life well done, you have more will power than me!

Not2bObvious · 17/04/2020 18:43
