Delighted I resisted a bag of King crisps last night when I wasn't hungry and didn't need it, got my reward this morning scales dropped to 160.9.

What takeaway did you have, make me jealous here Grin

Just checked in on my steps average, no walk yesterday as did the grocery shop, just over 24k so my 8k average is happening once more Grin

Doing the grocery shop was eerie, everyone is wary of everyone else, wearing gloves and masks, I normally watch my spending, yesterday I just made sure I had enough so that I won't have to revisit the shops for a while. Got the Easter Eggs just in case too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 09:11

My steps were woeful yesterday but I did do some scooter with DS that didn't track.

Bit of a Dodge tum this morning so carb fest of thick white toast, butter and jam. Feel better now though

Not2bObvious · 26/03/2020 09:50

I got my Easter eggs too, I’ve never been one for putting things off and this situation has made me even more conscious.
Had Chinese 😋

I've been happily making my own satay lately so haven't felt the need for takeaway, there's a town which is nearer to me now since I moved with a really good Indian so I'm thinking I'll get that before I move from rental house but takeaway doesn't bother me a lot. Bought southern fried chicken in Dunnes so that dc can have their Sat night takeaway at home this weekend.

I bought myself a Galaxy egg/Lindor depending on which one I give to au pair Grin got the cutest little Thorntons one with a unicorn on it for my 2 year old niece Grin

Toast is a winner life

Not2bObvious · 26/03/2020 10:54

I have a few decent Indian recipes I do, how authentic they are is dubious but they’re pretty decent. Can’t go wrong with Pataks paste😉

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 26/03/2020 12:23

Pataks are brilliant, but I'm going to use the dunnes madras jar I have first before I buy any more curry, plus I've hairy dieters recipe books I could pull from too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 13:07

I love pataks. Though the spicery is the dogs wotsits.
Done body attack in the garden just to get more than 5k steps in. DC are refusing to walk

Happierwithouthim · 26/03/2020 13:49

When I'm set up in new house remind me to order them life

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 16:50

will do happier

so I attempted to do a class today that I don't usually do and it affected my long term condition. better get the physio advice back out.
Going to start tracking food again from tomorrow and do the best i can

Not2bObvious · 26/03/2020 17:37

Must check out that spicery thing when things get better, I thought you were saying you liked it spicier! I hope you didn’t do too much damage life, I never got advice on my disc issue & now it’ll be a while.
Walked the legs off myself for my hour out, wrecked

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 21:05

I will be fine, just need to get back to doing my squeezes

northender · 26/03/2020 21:08

Sorry, been awol from here as I've been a bit preoccupied with other stuff. I was really worried about my weight creeping back up with being in isolation so I've resorted to daily weighs to monitor it. Good news so far, no weight gained so 12 pound loss for the year to date. Not as much as I had wanted, but it hasn't been a normal year and has been very stressful.
Haven't read back properly, but have to say I love Patak's curry pastes. We are very lucky, in our local Booths (NW naice supermarket) there is a Raffi's spicebox stall. They have a curry menu and you pick one, say how many it is for and they make you up a pack of herbs & spices and give you instructions. It's a fab treat for a weekend. Last weekend we did Malay beef rendang (spices cost £5ish).
Anyway I'll try to keep up again now and try to read back later.

northender · 26/03/2020 21:11

life I did a circuits class tonight and could feel my back, hoping it won't develop into anything worse. How are you all exercising in current circumstances? We've kept our gym membership. It's a small business and we want to support them and in return they are streaming classes on Zoom. They also have some HIIT sessions on youtube so I've managed to at least do some things even if it's not as much as I would normally do.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 21:31

Hey North. I am gaining weight but it's my own fault.
I've carried on with my fitness club who are also doing live workouts. I joined Les mills on demand too and have done a couple of them. Also a walk a day in the sun.

Not2bObvious · 27/03/2020 09:53

I had a sneaky weigh in and I wish I hadn’t bothered. Not that I’m recording it at the minute.
If my clothes fit (as in jeans) I have to accept the scales number is just that. And for they do, even a tad loose. I’m sleeping crappily and probably eating too much salty food. I’d say it’s the same for you life

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 27/03/2020 10:48

It is not. Exactly that.
I've tracked my breakfast
#babysteps Grin

Not2bObvious · 27/03/2020 16:36

How are we all doing heading into the weekend? Not sure if there’s a Friday feeling or not, with everything so up in the air. Haven’t eaten a lot today but it’s still early😉
Close to 75,000 steps done this week, that’s a plus at least. Saw 2 gardai while I was out walking (Irish police) wondered for a minute were they going to be dispersing crowds of 2 or more! Strange times all round.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 27/03/2020 17:11

still rubbish steps but did body pump in a fashion today. tacking food so taking the little wins.
really doesn't fee like a Friday at all

Not2bObvious · 28/03/2020 07:58

Up 2lb on last Saturdays weight, was up 2.6 earlier in the week.
So I have to accept I’ve gained & it’s not a fluctuation. Here’s hoping to do better in April. I don’t feel bad about it, can’t change what you don’t acknowledge eh? Time to plan, at least I’ve loads of time to do that, silver lining at least. I’ve been getting good at not eating between meals and maybe that’s why I came down .6 in the last few days.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/03/2020 08:35

I've gained to not. It's the change in routine and trying to fit everything in. And failing in my case obv.
Come the summer or will come off again. It's just annoying

Not2bObvious · 28/03/2020 08:52

yeah it is annoying, catching it now and turning it around is key. Especially now, could do with one less thing to feel sad about.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/03/2020 09:11

Yes definitely

Wolfcub · 28/03/2020 12:41

Up 1.5. Not a huge surprise

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/03/2020 15:44

Did a walk so 7500 steps so far. Minstrels eaten. Rest of food ok

Wolfcub · 28/03/2020 16:18

3m walk. Pilates class. Nothing bad eaten or drunk...yet

Having beer with friends on house party later though
