New thread for 2020 since we didn’t finish the old one by year end

It was really lovely, well apart from the jogging haha! Ahh it wasn’t that bad, the weather was great, felt very springtime. First 10 minutes are the hardest.
Made up a menu plan for the week with the aim of minimising waste, and avoiding the shops. Might help with the weightloss now I have to stick to what I planned. Many of our local takeaways have closed.

I did the Jo wick video this morning. It was ok. Though massive about of people on. I did it DS laughed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2020 06:55

Up today.

Happierwithouthim · 24/03/2020 07:36

Definitely didn't meet my macros yesterday, ate 3 white pitta smothered in real butter before my walk instead of dinner Blush

sts this morning

Today's walk will be with the dc and dog, so I got a long one in yesterday evening. 3.6 miles.

Not2bObvious · 24/03/2020 08:39

Weigh in 1 this week.
Down from last Tuesday from 164 to 163, I had been down to 162 on Saturday. But up to 163.6 on Sunday! Anyway, getting there one way or another. Under cals by 140 yesterday. Next weigh in Thursday, and then Saturday for the last.
I’ve been rubbish at macros for ages happier, although I was hitting fibre hard with the introduction of prunes into my diet. Now my body has decided it no longer wants to let the prunes do their work, I’m not as bothered though I am still eating 3-4 a day & trying to keep my water intake up.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/03/2020 09:28

Thanks Happier, the markers do mean a lot, don't they!
Just trying not to eat everything in the house today!
I'm only going to be working Thursdays and Fridays whilst all this is going on, so planning on doing some healthy cooking today, stuff that I can snack on, so that I don't eat all the snacks I got for the kids!

Happierwithouthim · 24/03/2020 10:51

curvy definitely
I've gotten sick of yogurts for my break so brought 40g porridge with 20g raisins & 10g walnuts today, made with almond milk. Must put it into mfp now.

Signing separation agreement today, my house is in sight!!!

Happierwithouthim · 24/03/2020 11:35

Everything's so up in the air at the moment I'm happy just to not gain and lose if I can.

Had a chat with bf about cv and exercise etc and I said at least I might come out of it lighter, he said you're absolutely fine as you are, don't be doing anything for me. While that's lovely to hear, I'm doing this for me and no one else.

Once prunes aren't causing the opposite effect you're ok not my mother's always eating them and goes through phases of drinking prune juice too.

Not2bObvious · 24/03/2020 14:10

I’d love them to give me the opposite effect (prunes that is!) sometimes I’m tempted to ask the doc for a dose of picolax for a proper clear out😉

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/03/2020 14:16

Happier that porridge sounds nice, will give that a try, well when I can get some porridge and walnuts 😂🤣

Yay on signing the separation agreement, house is ever closer!
Yy to doing it for you. It is nice that your bf said that though.
It's nice when people notice that I've lost weight too, but a bit disheartening when they think I'm doing it to get a man!
I'm very happy being single, they can't seem to get that I want to be healthy for me. I just don't want to jiggle when I jog. Haha!

Happierwithouthim · 24/03/2020 14:55

curvy exactly that I want to get back to running but I can only do that when I get to target as it only helps me to maintain not lose.

When I started this journey getting a man was last thing on my mind and whether I stay with this one or not I want to be able to dress in clothes I'm happy to wear, I might be a mother of two but I don't want to dress like a Mammy for years yet!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/03/2020 15:17

Happier, this 100%!

Happierwithouthim · 24/03/2020 15:47
Grin
lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2020 17:42

Couldn't have said it better happier.

I'm not meeting macros or calories but Definitely getting steps. That's ok. Just getting through until my weight clips come.

Not2bObvious · 24/03/2020 21:38

So funny that people think you’re losing weight to get a man curvy, getting rid of a bad one is a good way of shedding a fair few stone! Yes & yes to not being ready to be mammy’fied clothes wise happier although to be honest I’m looking like a bag lady these last few days. Need to pull it together a bit for my mind, I’m frightening myself when I look in the mirrors.
Hit my calories & steps today, macros - haha, no chance.

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/03/2020 21:49

That's the right attitude to have life!
We need to be kind to ourselves.
Not, oh definitely, I think since he has left I've lost about half a stone, not loads in just under a year, but it's not a sprint and I've had a few bumps along the way and I needed to be kind to myself and just take it slow. And I'm sure you don't look like a bag lady, I bet you look fabulous!

Not2bObvious · 24/03/2020 22:00

No I promise I look like a bag lady😬 My hygiene at least is excellent😉
I was always one for a little makeup if going outside, now I’m only out for a brisk walk I’m trying to cover up using big sunglasses and a scarf. Tomorrow I’m going to pull it together....I think
Did I say I had terrible aches in my sides after running? I think it’s from my muffin top jigglingBlush

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/03/2020 22:08

Not, I don't wear makeup and earlier we had our first virtual SW meeting via zoom and EVERYONE looked better than me! Wished I'd put on big sunglasses and a scarf!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2020 06:51

I don't wear make up either and no hair cut = mushroom head.
No video calling here.

Up a bit but had freezer tapas last night which was the frozen boxing Day buffet food.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2020 06:52

I'm liking the style it out with sunglasses and a scarf. Might add a hat as well

Not2bObvious · 25/03/2020 08:09

At the rate my eyebrows are growing a Stetson might work best here!
No weigh today & feel like a zombie. Meant to be having a delivery from amazon, hope himself opens the door. He’s ok with looking his age😂

Happierwithouthim · 25/03/2020 09:34

I'm still grocery shopping in the shops, about every 10 days or so. Just looked up slots online and next Tesco slot is 11th April, SuperValu is next Monday. Shock

Sts this morning, I'm content with sts at the moment.

Have finished second week of Symprove, I'm happier but that could be due to circumstances around me rather than the symprove Hmm

Walked to shop for milk yesterday it's 1.25 miles round trip, good for all of us kept steps up but not at a good pace because I'd the dc with me

Not2bObvious · 25/03/2020 09:46

Still shopping here, trying to limit it though. Haven’t been to my local Aldi in a week but been to SV as much closer (and more expensive of course) I might go to Aldi tomorrow. I don’t need a lot.
Tired today

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 26/03/2020 06:18

Big spike today. Lots of salt yesterday and too many calories

Not2bObvious · 26/03/2020 07:10

Up as well after last nights takeaway, didn’t eat much during the day to make room for it in my calories. Would have been fine if I hadn’t had a side order of wine & salty snacks while watching the tv. It’ll be gone by Saturday
