Why am I not losing weight

I recently decided it was time to finally make changes to myself and my lifestyle as I’m fed up of being overweight! I have around 4 stone to lose in total. I have started the C25K programme, doing that 4 times a week. I repeated week 1 and am now on week 2. I’ve started walking my dog between 4-8 miles every weekend, and I’m using a calorie tracker to track everything I’m eating. I make sure I’m in a calorie deficit every day, and I drink 2L of water each day. In the last 3 weeks I haven’t lost a single KG Angry is there something I’m missing!?

The low carb diet worked for me because all the fat and meat made me want to puke rather than eat anything

This was happening to me and eventually I went to GP and turns out I’ve got an underactive thyroid.

I have no idea if there is any correlation but when I first tried to lose weight I ate in calorie deficit (approx 1100 a day) and started running. The scales didn't budge. After switching to weightlifting instead of running it came off.

@Aquestionforyouall my mum mentioned that as she’s a nurse and deals with it a lot, but I have had tests for other things and they ruled that out at the time as all function showed as normal

I have underactive thyroid too. I found eating more veg...less carbs good

And whoever said her body was in starvation mode - that is total bollocks. And you don't gain muscle that quick - it's hard for women to gain as much as half a pound of muscle a month - even lifting heavy weights.

Bluntness100 · 15/01/2020 13:41

People get so confused as to what starvation mode is and don't understand it, studies that have been conducted are based in people fasting, for up to seven days, it literally is starvation and as yet there is no answer as to whether it restricts weight loss, it hasn't been studied enough.

Clearly it doesn't apply to the op. So ludicrous to bring it up on this thread.
