Morning all! Welcome to the half a stone loss challenge for September. All are welcome whatever plan or method you are following. I'm mainly following ww online with some intermittent fasting thrown in for good measure!

All I ask is that we continue the uplifting positivity and support seen on previous threads! We cheerlead each other, celebrate success and support through the harder times.

We had a great month in August with lots of losses. I don't know about you lot but the longer this goes on the more it feels like a way of life for me now rather than "being on a diet"?

Stats for me are:
Starting weight: 19st 13
Loss for August: 14lbs
Loss for 2019: 5 st 3lbs
Target for September: 10lbs off

Ready for September??

I'm ashamed to say I can't give a start weight, as I max out my scale Blush. But it's time to start doing something about it!

Hello everyone! @Bessica1970, people here do all sorts, different diets/ ways of eating, daily or weekly weigh ins. I've found it a great place to stay motivated and accountable. Cricket has run the thread awesomely with some really good memes, and setting a fabulous example!

Well I am 10.0.0 this morning so a good place to start! Partly dehydration as had a long hot hike yesterday, but inspires me to keep on for that 9! I'm a daily weigher so am braced for fluctuations. My goal is 9.7, but I will be very happy with 3 or 4 lbs in September.

First day of weight loss today. I’m giving fasting a go.
This week I’m working my way up from 12 hour to 16 hour fast per day.

Water and black coffee only during fast

Massive congratulations on all that have lost weight.

Could I join please? I'm a complete diet novice! The NHS website is advising I'm now in the overweight BMI category which I find scary. I guess I will follow their advice and calorie control at around 1400 calories per day.

Welcome everyone. I weigh daily but tend to only log the outcome once a week (or whenever I have lost weight 😂) seeing the daily swings makes me more chilled about the times when I feel like i’m doing everything right but not seeing results. I know it will come through eventually!

I agree about calorie control being important, I eat partly out of habit. I’m happy to eat fruit but still have to be a bit restrained because the calories from fruit add up. I was amazed to find a banana can be 100 calories!

Morning everyone, I'm hoping this group will give me that extra bit of focus and be somewhere to come to when I am lacking in willpower. My recent weight loss journey started in April with the discovery of significantly raised blood pressure. It was a wake up call and has lead to a change in mindset as I have previously been adamant that being overweight was fine and part of just being me. My initial weight loss was good but like others it would seem that the summer brought change of routine, holidays and too many meals out. So I definitely want to get back on it for September.
Current stats
Starting weight 19 stone 1lb ( April'19)
Current weight 17 stone 0lb
Weight loss target for September 7lbs

Morning all and welcome to the new losers!

blonde there are a few of us doing 16:8 fasting, I've found it pretty easy to stick to, so much so I can't imagine ever going back. I've lost 1st 8 in 4 months so far. I don't do a 'clean' fast because I do drink tea with milk during the 16hours. And I don't do it every day either, particularly at a weekend I'll sometimes have breakfast, but it's working for me nonetheless.
I generally weigh daily or every other day but only record my weight once a week or like today, at the start of a month. If you are just starting out - measure yourself and take photos! I only took measurements once I was a month or two in, but it's very motivating to see that shrink even if your weight is static for a bit.

Starting weight for September 12st 13lb. Target 12st 7lb where I'll be into a normal BMI rather than overweight!

I've just hit 10 stone, never been this heavy! Don't really get it either as I've given up chocolate, not eaten biscuits all summer holiday and cut back on drink.

So I'm currently 10 stone and want to be 9 stone 7!! Fingers crossed

11st 5 at my last weigh in. Although that was about 4 weeks ago - I might go to the gym this morning and weigh in just to get an accurate starting point!

I'm doing a combination of low carbing and 5:2. As of today, I'm having a month off drinking too because beer is soooo bad weightwise and causes me to eat more crap food too.

So here goes.

Ideally, I'd like to be 9st 10, which is where I was a couple of years ago and when I think I look my best but I'll judge it on how I look and will stop before then if I'm happy.

Can I join? I really struggle to lose any weight.

Was 13st 7 but then went on holiday last week so definitely more than that now. I can't bear to weigh in until Monday morning but plan is to lose 5lbs in September. That should be reasonable shouldn't it??😓

My weaknesses are wine, crisps and cheese. Oh, and biscuits in the staff room.

Can I join in as well please? Weight has been creeping up over the past year or so and when I finally weighed myself a couple I weeks ago I realised I’m the heaviest I’ve been (apart from being pregnant)

Starting weight 70kg
Target 60kg
Lost in August 1kg
Target for September 2kg

I’ve cut out the vast quantities of sweets and chocolate I had been eating and have been using my fitness pal to log what I’ve been eating. Rejoined the gym and need to restart running again. Really don’t want to keep getting heavier

I tried IF a few months back but I found it was reducing my milk supply (breastfeeding) so I stopped. Now it’s time to get my DS off the boob and he is resistant, so I’m not fussed for my supply to dry up. (He’s older than 18 months, not kicking a newborn off 🤣)

I only fit into one pair of my pants as I’ve put weight on after 2 kids. Don’t want to lend money on new bigger clothes, so it’s tome to get the weight off ☺️

Hello I'd like to join, please. I'm suffering from a total loss of willpower and I'm hoping that chatting with you all will help me out.

I'm 74 kilos
Target 64
Goal for September 4 kilos.

I'm just going to be using MFP and increased walking and swimming. I may introduce low carb too if I find it too tough. I ate low carb for three years and maintained at 64.after one year of eating carbs I have gained 10k.

I've just realised how obvious it is that I should not eat a carb rich diet!

Morning all,
Back from Spain, all refreshed and (almost) ready for the new academic year.
All inclusive was an eye opener! I enjoyed the buffet a bit too much, and had alcoholic drinks for the first time in months. So put on about 2kg Blush
However, was swimming everyday, lots of walking and two massive bike rides, so not all bad!
September 1st weigh-in is 93.5kg.
17.5 kg down since April and still 1kg down on my 1st of August weight.
It'll be much easier once I'm back into normal work hours.
Just got to get on with the holiday washing now...

I’m looking forward to getting back to work
( a school) tomorrow and returning to my weight losing , routine eating habits.
Have gained a bit of weight with too much free time in August!
Aiming for 3kg in September.
