I really need to lose at least a stone in 5 weeks as have a holiday booked and my jeans are seeming a little tighter recently. I plan to write sort of a food diary on here as I find writing it down I stick to it more, anyone welcome to do the same we can support each other and motivate each other. X

Are you weighing every day? I think I'll do it once a week as right now I a bit scared to see the numbers. Are you all still on board?

I do weigh every day (when I remember) but I don't think it's helpful!

Good day today, been for a small run, which has earned me a welsh cake and still stay within my calories.

No further loss , yes I weigh everyday too
But I know it can fluctuate so as long as it becomes a general downward trend then it’s ok
Fell of wagon last night with meal out with friend ( well over 800 ) but back today
KOKO ( keep on keeping on )

I'm still here. The Indian meal out last night was nice and I did stick to my 1,000 calories. I had chicken shashlik, which was 5 or 6 pieces of chicken coated in spices and baked (no sauce), and a green salad. Lunch was one slice of unbuttered toast with a sprinkling of grated cheese and grilled.

I am weighing every day. I know from past experience if I don't do this, my weight creeps upward and I lose my motivation.

I am in too!
I am weighing daily, huge motivator for me. I got one of those smart scales so it is all on my phone. No pretending it didn't happen :)

I've lost 5 kg this month already but the beginning is always easy for me.
I am 83.7 kg this morning and my routine is as follows:
Black coffee (2, very strong) until my lunch.
I am not sure what is better for me: a bigger lunch or a bigger dinner but try to stick with "under 1000 cal" routine , I am finding at this stage I can only do 2-3 days of 800 cal and then get very, very hungry (I know I should be more careful with carbs) but want to eat as much seasonal veg as possible and some fruit too (blueberries and brambles).

In the past the boredom of samey food was killing me so I'd rather take few more weeks to get to under BMI of 25 which was before my dd was born nearly 22 years ago!.

I know now that a stone this month is doable for me at this stage. It all may slow down after that.

Not sure what I'll eat for my lunch but have some cauliflower and a bag of mushrooms in the fridge and that could make a low cal, very tasty meal.

I am also a daily weigher. No weight loss for the last 2 days but lots of water going in and coming out so I must be due a drop fairly soon.

I have stuck easily to 16/8 and calories have been under 1000. Not managing 800 cals yet but my appetite has reduced the last few days so that should be more manageable now.

Big test coming up as its a 3 day weekend. My husband works away Mon-Fri and he always wants to go out for drinks/food when he is home. I really want to try and stay on plan though as I am fed up restarting every bloody week!

@Belindabelle vodka and slim tonic + a slice of lemon/lime is your best bet, I think gin may be OK too as it has no carbs
vodka has calories but they don't get converted into fat and will get used up

save calories for the evening by not eating anything until that meal, I think in my case this is easier now I eat much less and my sugar levels aren't all over place

Yes still here! Just been very busy and haven’t done the best but still eating healthier than before,
So far today I’ve had 2 weetabix ( spoonful of honey) and milk
Wholemeal pasta with tuna and sun dried tomato sauce.
Probably just have a snack later
I’m trying to drink plenty of water but I’m pissing myself every 2 seconds 😂.
I’m stuck for meal ideas tbh I find it hard not to have a meal that includes bread. Any suggestions?

I have such conflicting thoughts on dieting though does anyone else? One day I’m like yes I can do this let’s stop being a fatty then the next I’m all about body positivity and I should let go of the diets and love my body is it just me?!
Think it’s becsuse my weight fluctuates so much one day I can look a lot slimmer than before my monthly’s I look a bloated mess

Having a good day!

Overnight Oats with peanut butter and half a banana for breakfast.
Egg Mayo (2 eggs) with 1 slice of toast for lunch.

Dinner planned is a chicken salad with a Thai curry dressing. I'm really looking forward to it.

Enough calories left over for a fancy orange I've lolly this evening.

Not weighed myself for a couple of days, so hoping to see a loss.

790 calories on board today.

Happy with that.

No idea ab my calories but feel full of energy and losing weight.
I was 82.9 this morning (6 kg since beginning of the month).
Lots if walking yesterday (20000) and today 17500 steps.
I really enjoy eating out now. For instance tonight in the pub I had 3 side dishes: 3 pigs in blankets, cabbage braised with bacon and baked cougettes with some cream. I shared some of my veg but over all felt I didn't overeat and felt satisfied. Diet coke as I was driving.
More sightseeing tomorrow and then back home.

Messed up a bit today. 2 shortbread biscuits in the afternoon and 6 or 7 oatcakes spread with thick Boursin cheese just now. Plus the 4 double vodkas earlier on, which weakened my willpower.

I did get weighed this morning and I was 5lb lighter than Monday morning (11st 10lb down to 11st 5lb).

I know in my heart the scales will be up tomorrow, but I'll crack on into next week stronger and more determined.

I'm joining if you'll have me! I have a works do in 4 weeks followed by a posh wedding 2 weeks later. My plan is exercise (just joined a gym) and I'll be following Slim & Save vlcd. I'm in London sweating like the fat lass I am but ready to get started Tuesday!

I'm 3 pounds lighter than at the start of the thread one week ago so quite happy, although I'm aware most of it will be water loss. I didn't drink anything before weighing so probably slightly dehydrated too Grin. But definitely going in the right direction!

A bit but I'm in. Ideally I'd like to be at least 1.5 stone down by November. I'm using mfp and tracking food and macros - early days of it as summer hols has happened which has thrown me right of track. But want to get back on it. Starting with tracking everything I eat.

Bad news from the scales today... I've put on 2lb since yesterday Sad

Probably due to having home made macaroni cheese for dinner, followed by strawberries and cream. Must try harder this week!

You all seem to be doing well!
@Xanadu13 that’s really good how have you been losing?
I think I’m eating too much bread but it’s what I really struggle with!
I had eggs on wholemeal toast for breakfast
A homemade chicken wrap with lettuce and mayo for lunch
Now I’m having sweet potato fries with fish fingers on wholemeal buns with lettuce and cucumber and probably a bit of salad cream 🤭.
Also had yoghurt with fruit and honey.
I really feel that I can’t motivate myself unless I eat satisfying meals and I can’t seem to get satisfied when I have no bread.
Anyone else struggle with no bread?

@maybe20 I’m on the intermittent fasting diet which is the easiest diet to stick to for me.. and honestly I don’t feel hungry between meals.. water or coffee takes away the hunger pangs lol

Maybe I struggle with bread too. About three years ago I did fantastic on low carbing, losing 26lb in total. But God did I miss toast and bread. It was my love of bread that ruined low carbing for me. Currently trying to stick to one slice a day.

How's everyone doing? I lost the 2lb I'd put over the weekend, so back to what I was this time last week. Its proving MUCH harder than I thought it would be. Sad

I've lost another pound. It feels so slow though. It's quick enough to go on though isn't it! Grrr.

@ISmellBabies what method are you using?
I am having fun with it most of the time, so I'm not feeling too frustrated about how slow it is right now.
Do you have an event you want to lose weight for?

I am starting tomorrow. Two stone to lose, that would take me to a BMI of 23 and a weight where pretty much everything in my wardrobe would fit me. I am unlikely to lose a stone in five weeks, hoping for 2lb a week really.

I plan on doing higher protein, low carb. I’ve lost weight like this in the past and kept it off. Also walking three times a week.

Well done to everyone who is sticking to their plan.
