Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

DottieLottie1 · 25/09/2019 22:50

Ive finished on 1192, with a bott....glass of Prosecco 😬😳😂

At TantricTwist, sounds like your really enjoying your first week at the gym! Wish I could get I to it but it would be a busmans holiday. Good on you x

DottieLottie1 · 26/09/2019 07:03

Morning 🙂

Woke early again 😔 but currently mucking about on my phone in bed with a cuppa. Will wake DC shortly and then I will need to drop DS off at school as he has a bag full of ingredients for his food tech class and it would be almost impossible to cycle with it all. DD is making her own way. Off to work mid morning so hopefully I will get a walk in between shifts. Home about 8 30.

B- cup of tea, Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- protein shake and some fruit.
D- roast chicken in pitta and salad.

I might try some of DSs food tech effort which is a Chicken and chorizo paella.

Should hit 1000 cals . Weigh in tomorrow, hopefully better news than last week. Looking as MFP my weekly average has been 1101.

What are your plans for today?

Seer · 26/09/2019 09:11

Morning all! ☺️

@DottieLottie1 I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried pranayama breathing exercises? The 4-7-8 can be helpful for getting to sleep. You breathe in for a count of 4 through your nose. Hold for 7. Breathe out forcefully through your mouth for 8, making a whooshing sound. You do that cycle 4 times. It's very relaxing.

The scales must have listened to me shouting at them on the thread and registered a tiny loss this morning (two ounces, ffs!) but it flickered several pounds lower so I'm hopeful that a decent loss will be coming soon 🙏

Usual day of work, dog walk, school run.

B: fast
L: baked potato with sweetcorn and salad
D: mushroom pie, mash and veg

Will be keeping portions small and aim for another 1k cal day.

Have a lovely day, all! ☺️

DottieLottie1 · 26/09/2019 09:17

@Seer, yes I have had of that breathing technique but didn't know it was called panayama! Also I do t always remember the order. DH probably wouldn't be too impressed at my huffy puffy sounds as he's trying to drift off either 😬😂I might give it a try again...

And congratulations on the tiddly weight loss, at least it didn't go up like I e dyd last week!

Seer · 26/09/2019 09:34

😂 at your dh's reaction @DottieLottie1

You could definitely do the exhale quietly and still benefit. I often do it that way when I'm in public and want to calm or centre myself but don't want to sound like a weirdo 😀

Just remember "478" and I bet you'll soon remember the order.

And thank you... any loss is a loss, right?

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 26/09/2019 09:57

@DottieLottie1 the 4-7-8 is really effective or at least has been for me in the past, lol Grin at huffy puffy sounds. He'll be fast asleep so won't hear you anyway, fingers crossed.

Yay to your scales getting the fear @Seer Grin

B - rhubarb activia yoghurt
L - who knows
D - Aubergine Parmigiana

Dropped DC off at School although they arrived by skin of their teeth as DS was finishing off his homework this morning Hmm
DD is on a School trip from tomorrow for a few days in this rain so the suitcase just keeps bulging as we keep adding to it.

Currently lying back in bed online Christmas shopping and general mucking around online also with Brew to hand.

DottieLottie1 · 26/09/2019 10:10

Haha @,Tantric on my phone your last emoji came up with a bottle of gin!!!! I'm assuming that's not what you've got at hand????!!!!!!

TantricTwist · 26/09/2019 10:24

OMG no Grin it's definitely a brew.

DottieLottie1 · 26/09/2019 10:43

😂😂😂

MrsGrindah · 26/09/2019 14:58

First of all can I apologise...I feel like I shoe horned my way into this thread and now have neglected it! But it’s only because work is crazy at the moment.

I do hope you are all ok and continuing the fight!

Was gutted this morning to weigh in this morning. Apparently I put a pound on since yesterday. Honestly I’ve hardly had chance to eat this week! However I did eat a fair bit at the weekend so I should have known it would catch up with me sometime. I now have four weeks to lose six pounds for my next goal. Determined not to give up!

TantricTwist · 26/09/2019 15:32

The more the merrier @MrsGrindah you're doing great. It's hard to juggle everything. We'll all get there even if some like me take a bit longer.

I had a lovely day of it today. Did a stretch and tone class, got chatting before and after to some lovely people so stayed for yoga and now feel all zen and not sweaty or achey. Tomorrow if I have the energy I'll go full on cardio and do a spin class for the first time ever. I feel like I need to sweat more Confused

Currently prepping my aubergine parmigiana

Seer · 26/09/2019 20:35

Sorry to hear that @MrsGrindah , maybe just good old fluctuation? ☺️

That all sounds lovely @TantricTwist. How are you feeling weight/clothes-wise now?

Closed the kitchen on 1166 cals. A little more than planned but really needed a snack earlier (2 oatcakes with peanut butter) which is rare. Could be worse tho.

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 26/09/2019 21:39

@Seer Clothes are hanging better and I'm wearing more of my older clothes that I haven't worn for a while. I got over my main fear by finally joining a class and feeling 'accepted' as it were and not feeling as self conscious as I thought I would by not being a regular gym bunny. I do like being part of a group doing exercise and having someone leading it, it's very calming so I'm liking that side a lot as well along with the music that goes with it. I feel lighter in mind, body and spirit as cheesy as that sounds Grin
I'm going to measure my waist after I've been going for a couple of weeks, so next weekend, and see what difference it's made if any.

DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 06:09

Morning, woke early again 😔

@MrsGrindah you'll do it, I'd assume 1lb in a day is likely a fluctuation possibly water retention.

@TantricTwist it's great when your clothes begin to 'fit n sit' better, just another motivating tool. Enjoy your classes today.

I'm working through lunch so will start the day with a cuppa a d fast through lunch. We're having a Moroccan chicken tagine tonight with rice which is fairly calorific but with the double fast it'll still be below 1200.

Weigh in day for me so once I've done that I'll update. Not sure if I've lost or on a plateau.... please no gain!

DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 07:08

Just braved the scales and I've lost 2lb this week. It's great but I'm not as excited as usual🙄 as I put on a 1lb last week so only feels like a 1lb loss IYSWIM. All good though, back on track and I know the last few pounds are the hardest to shift.

Start- 13 st 4
Now- 10 st 9
Target- 10 st

37 lb loss in 18 weeks. 9 lb to go, target date Halloween. Might do it.

Have a good day all.😊

DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 07:13

Tell a lie its 19 weeks with a 37 lb loss , that's an average of 1.95 lbs a week. Just realised 10 st 9 is also 149 lbs so that good. 😉🙂

DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 07:45

Apparently I've lost the equivalent of 2.5 bowling balls 😳 which weighted one though no 6 or 16? 😂 Not a particular accurate comparison me thinks 🙄

Seer · 27/09/2019 08:04

That really good @DottieLottie1 ! And well deserved!

I'll be over in your town picking dd up from a party tomorrow btw!

Plans today... Work, opticians for the DCs (and seeing if the opticians will fix my sat-on glasses Hmm) then dog walk, takeaway and wine tonight.

B: fast
L: porcini mushroom ravioli and salad (only 200 cals)
D: Chinese takeaway and a couple glasses of wine

Aiming for 1300 max, hopefully less.

Still no decent loss but I'm at least now at my lowest number (160lb instead of 161lb which I had been mostly holding steady at until yesterday), which means I've now got 9lb to go.

I'm also feeling slimmer/firmer this week, maybe my skin has adjusted to being back at this size.

Will be so excited to see a weight in the 150s on the scales, hopefully soon 🙏

What are your plans everyone? ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 08:09

Thanks @Seer so we both gave 9lb to go! We can do this, and I need to keep telling myself) despite the occasional and random setback on the way! Intrigued as to where the party is, don't worry I'm working so wo t turn up unannounced. I work I a town further south.

Seer · 27/09/2019 08:15

Oh yes we do! That's worked out well ☺️ We can do this!!!!

The town beginning with E or not as far south as that?

The party is at the place you recommended recently actually I think. 😀

OP posts:
Seer · 27/09/2019 08:18

It seems mad that you're taller than I am and yet your goal weight is 11lb lower than mine - just shows how everyone's 'happy weight' is different!

OP posts:
TantricTwist · 27/09/2019 08:54

You're both doing brilliantly @Seer and @DottieLottie1.

I wonder if eating apples in between your meals will help boost your digestive system and shift those last pounds.

I couldn't sleep last night till around 2am despite being tired already at 6pm. So I'm not motivated to do any exercise for the time being but the day is long so I might go later. Dropped DD off early as she's off on a School trip. I just want to nap Grin

MrsGrindah · 27/09/2019 08:55

Well done both! The jeans are calling you! I’ve decided to keep with daily weigh ins now I’ve faced my fear...1/2 pound off today! I’m just going to have to accept the fluctuations. I’m feeling that I’m on the edge of a quick loss if I keep up like I have this week. Hopefully will get a chance to exercise.

Not wanting to out myself but my job has been impacted by the Thomas Cook failure so it’s been a crazy week. I hoped nervous energy might burn some pounds off but not yet

DottieLottie1 · 27/09/2019 09:04

Oh @MrsGrindah I'm so sorry to hear that hopefully you'll get some stability soon.

@Seer, good job I don't work it that leisure centre or I'd be hunting you down! I work south again from E.
