The other way around. One day 800.. and ^ a broadly Med diet (it should be ok if you dont pig out the other 6 days !! )

neveradullmoment99 · 26/07/2019 19:49

Thanks for that @Laska. I have been a bit hungrier than usual today but I have stuck to it. So hard when others are eating crisps [ I may have pinched one! but only one tiny crisp..that doesn't count does it?]

OMG - my diet is out the window. This whole weekend is about pigging out and I am not even feeling guilty. Monday I am going to start juicing like a mad thing.

Laska2Meryls · 27/07/2019 11:48

sadly I am still not quite right it seems tummy wise, maybe mushrooms stuffed with beans and veg wasnt the best idea , not so bad as it was though.. but scales say 2 of those lbs are back on this morning ! (and this is why you shouldn't weigh every day!!)

so will another light day on bland-sh food, I think..No smoothies, I just had some toast and marmite DH is making a tuna and rice salad tonight .. i think some white carbs are needed right now to try and calm the tum down .

We have visitors for bbq tomorrow, I do want to be right for that (Dh will be doing do the food prep now though just to be on the safe side , he is a fab cook )

neveradullmoment99 · 27/07/2019 18:11

Well today on the menu was plums and greek yoghurt for breakfast
Lunch was poached eggs, mushroom, spinach and 2 ryvitas.
Dinner was bean chilli topped with cheese and yogurt and salad and lastly squeezing in a light and low yoghurt later. Kitchen closed on 789 calories. Although again, will have a coffee so that will make it up to more or less 800.
What has everyone else had?

Everything is out of the fast 800 recipe book. There hasn't been anything so far I haven't liked.

I have done my epicurean adventures this weekend. Off to the farmer’s markets to buy eggs as soon as the washing’s hung out. I am doing the 18/6 intermittent fasting as it works better for me. I have water and black coffee/tea/herb tea before I break my fast at lunch time, then nothing after 6pm. My breakfast/lunch is a big veggie juice (which means being super organized on school mornings, but the blender helps get the kids up!) and then some protein whenever I feel like it. After a day or two on this diet, my appetite is almost non-existant. It’s just
A matter of making sure the fridge is devoid of cheese and other snacky triggers.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/07/2019 11:25

Yes, its hard to avoid the kids treats. I will probably ue time restriction once i have done the fast 800 for 2/3 weeks. I dont tend ti have any breakfast on workdays and dont have time to eat until 12.15 so it works for me. My window is from that time to 8:15 as my dh is back sometimes at 7pm from work, so it works for me.
Kind of enjoying the fast 800 but there have been a couple of times i would have enjoyed a packet of crisps and a ginger beer. Still, really want to stick to this for now. My sugar cravings have been practically non- existent so that is a huge thing for me. What i find strange is when i eat something like a pink lady apple, it almost tastes too sweet!

And at last my clothes feel looser!

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 29/07/2019 17:29

I was cooking so shorts and a top..

wel this morning the scales showed solid 4.lbs down from last monday , which is good , esp considering I was ill for three days really with stomach bug, (and I did have some wine over the weekend). So an encouraging start..

This morning I fasted until about 2pm (just black coffee and water) and went out for a bike ride (only about 4 miles, but even so) .
I had an omelette for late breakfast and have just make some savoury mince which I shall have with courgette..

.. No wine! thats weekends only from now on !

neveradullmoment99 · 29/07/2019 19:15

Sounds great @Laska. Well done on the bike ride. Today I have had greek yoghurt and nectarines. Lunch was a tomato and bean soup and a small clementine. Dinner was pizza made on a whole meal pitta and feta salad. Comes under 800 calories. Going to have a coffee too.

I was so hungry when I woke up this morning, I managed to hang out until 12 though because I had brought in the remainder of a rice/ cannelloni bean/ tuna/ veg salad DH had made.. probably not the best choice as carby but I couldn't bear to see it go in the bin.. Anyway it filled me upand was all good stuff.. Tonight i shall just have stir-fry veg and a few prawns if i am hungry, .that should still be less than 800 I reckon..

neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 18:42

Well, I was starving when my mum finished at the hospital. We went to a café and I had a cappuccino and shared a panini with her and some sweet potato fries so definitely over the 800 today but ah well. Continue with my chicken in basil tonight and onwards with it tomorrow. A very minor blip.

Laska2Meryls · 30/07/2019 19:02

I ve also gone over I think, had more leftovers , some savoury mince (and a lot of courgette..)..
intersting you n mentioned back fat, I have under arm fat !!that sis side of the body fat1 (Nice) I think it is is mainly the reason why my bras have got tighter .

I also really want to stick with this ..

Tomorrow we have the (tedious) monthly Team brunch meeting ..Its tedious because the boss likes to go to an 'all you can eat' breakfast buffet place.. Then after they ( mainly the men!) have scoffed 4 plates full of Full English each (usually takes about an hour and all chat is about football, cricket ,rugby fishing etc etc , the 'meeting' begins.. with a break for (more) toast and jam in the middle ..its not cheap if 'all you eat' (like me) is one plate of scrambled egg and a bit of bacon.. There's no option but to pay for the whole thing .. and if you want mushrooms ( which i do ) its a £1 extra!! .. ( but i dont eat the hash browns, sausage fried bread beans, chips etc etc).. Ah well.. It would be ok if the coffee was good!! (or the boss paid!) Grin

I'm a real curmudgeon eh?

neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 19:49

Not at all. You have also taught me a new word. I have never heard of curmudgeon before!
Well think that's part of why I put weight on. I go on a Thursday with my mum to a local café that makes absolutely delicious breakfasts - so fresh. Kept getting the full breakfast on a Thursday. Tbf though, I had nothing for breakfast and nothing for lunch but still, not a good habit to get into. Writing this day off me things, like you!

neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 19:49

me thinks!

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 30/07/2019 19:59

Sadly this place is a chain pub.. the breakfast (although expensive) isn't even that good!!

neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 21:51

Ah, like a Wetherspoons? Well the breakfast in this local café is seriously good. Fresh fried eggs, perfectly cooked, bacon, sausage, haggis, beans, mushrooms and a potato scone and toast. Great value at £6.50

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 21:54

Im making myself hungry. Well seriously threw the diet out but not with rubbish. Ate a hearty meal with chicken, brussel sprouts, broccoli. Definitely over but not with rubbish at least and no sweet stuff although I have had serious cravings today. Probably down to eating the wrong things that have made my blood sugar spike Aaargh.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 21:54

But seriously tempted to end the night with a nut liqueur my son brought me back. Its delicious.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 30/07/2019 21:56

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 31/07/2019 08:09

Sounds yummy , nut liqueur also mmmm

Not sure what to do about the breakfast, I suppose ill have to join in. Feels like a total 'waste' of calories though Hmm
Oh well, ..
