I love fish and shellfish , all types .. must be because ive been eating it since a kid.. weused to go fishing with my nan on her small boat, and cockling also .. My DF taught me how to pick a whole crab when I was quite young, it used to be one of yhe highlights of our west country camping holidays..
I have had terrible indigestion since eating that pizza last night must been the wheat hit , still feeling grim this morning. I have brought in a large bottle of water and ice with lemon slices in a cool bag to the office today

Morning, thought I'd come and find you all 😊
I think my problem is I've become completely sick of cooking. After being pretty much the main organiser of the food shop and cooking for years, I just find it all such a chore.
DH has always either worked away or had a long commute and cooking for 4 people who don't all like the same stuff and come and go at different times has just become a boring part of my day!
Because of this we eat too many take aways and convenience foods as I just cba.
I need to find my mojo and look for some easy low carb meals and stop eating magnums
I need to shift about half a stone and then see what I look like as I went a bit too thin a couple of years ago and it didn't look good (illness rather than dieting btw)
I know it doesn't sound much but I'm only 5 ft 4 and my clothes don't fit. My boobs have grown enormously since starting HRT and they feel heavy and engorged, like they weigh half a stone each.

Drinks wise I love the Robinsons no added sugar cordial with fizzy water. I always stick to the apple and pear one. I have to drink sugar free anyway, I can't have fresh juice, smoothies or full fat drinks and this is the nicest by far.
I'm out for a meal tonight at a new Sicilian restaurant so I'll probably blow the 800 but I'll try and go as low carb as poss and drink either a couple of Prosecco's or gin n slimline

I think I would like to lose about a stone to be truly happy. I have no idea what I weigh but my boobs have grown giving me a kind of matronly look that I hate. Most of my shorts from last year just fit. Bloody menopause. What happens when the two weeks of 800 cals are over? What does everyone do? Do they just have 2 800 fast days?

I drink Robinsons no sugar all the time. I like lots of different ones but not with fizzy water so another idea to add to my list. Actually love the lemon one so I think I will buy some and with fizzy water and a slice of lemon sounds really nice.
Off to make some mushroom soup for my lunch. I got the essential 800 calorie Mediterranean cookbook today. Have only skimmed the pages but it looks good :)

I have successfully used the 5:2 for 4 years now. I fast for 2 or 3 days when I put on some weight - generally after summer hols and christmas. The rest of the time I just have one fast day on a Monday but eat mindfully during the working week i.e. no snacking or alcohol. On the weekends I relax and eat and drink whatever I fancy but still no snacks. Works for me and got me off the cycle of losing a stone and then putting it on again over and over again

Ive been feeling not good all day after that pizza, bad stomach ..enough said !? I came home lunchtime.. and haven't eaten anything at all today yet.. but feeling much better nowI shall have something light like ehhs later

Oh dear. Hope it was just that laska and you're not coming down with something.

I could probably do with losing a stone to be honest. I'm not overweight BMI-wise, but am at the upper end and I'd rather be somewhere in the middle. Also my "frame" is quite small and while I've always been bottom heavy, recently weight has started going round my tummy which isn't great health-wise (yes, perimenopause, it's entirely you, and not the cakes/icecream/crisps/ wine I shovel into my gob).

Trouble is I'm a bit all or nothing - so if I start counting calories or anything i get a bit obsessive. Not in an eating disorder kind of way, but not good. So I just need to do it sensibly by being more mindful and not start skipping meals or anything.

@not I am a bit like that but tbh, I am doing 2wks of 800 cals just to kick start me and happy to as I know its not forever.

@never, most main supermarkets have the cooked lentils but they can't agree where to keep them. Last shop I found them with the microwave rice packets so you might need to ask!

nink will definitely try that soup..
My blender has arrived now so going to try smoothies for one meal..
i ended up trying some pasta as i thought something bland was needed, ate half a small bowl, sadly it didn't go well. IYSwIm Sad (Reckon its a bug then.. ) hopefully will have gone tomorrow, but im in definitely in negative calories today ..

Well the bonus is that I now know what my 'totally empty' weight is !!! And its 5lbs down from Monday (that wont last)..

Not quite sure how i am feeling this morning, am risking a cup of tea to see Hmm .. if that goes well I have have an egg TMI

ok Ive just had black coffee and 2 egg omelette .. fingers crossed! Grin

I need to go to post office and recycling also co op to get stuff for smoothies some nice ones in the fast 800 book

I think today (if all goes well with digestive system 🤞) ill try the iced berry one, and either a gazpacho later or I have a recipe for chilled pea and mint chilled soup..

Well, similar to laska, and to be honest I'm completely baffled.
So I got weighed on Tuesday to check my starting point, 138lbs (9 stone 12lbs)
Im 5ft 4 just for info.
Didn't eat all day bar an apple & a chunk of Brie then a low carb meal (but tbh it had quite a bit of cheese)
That night I was up and down needing a wee every hour. Got weighed again 133lb (9 stone 7lbs) Shock
I know the first week can all be water but 5 pounds over night!
Scales are correct. They're digital body fat ones and I tested them. 🤷🏻‍♀️
134 today. Went off piste due to meal out last night.
Can't complain, but I guess if it's all water it'll go back on in a blink!
