Tbh, I suppose I have no idea what weight I was for a good few weeks before I started. I didn't weigh myself because it gets me down when it fluctuates so it is possible that I have lost way more than what I think.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:41

I mean I think I didn't really start weighing myself until a few weeks back so I have no idea of my starting place. I may well have been 12 stone!

OP posts:
Huffthepuff · 23/08/2019 09:42

I was 10st 2lbs and now I'm showing as 9st 2.5
But I'm taking that with a pinch of salt. Fast 800 makes it seem like you've lost a lot because you reduce carbs so drastically I think and therefore a lot of water retention goes. I was 9st 5 when I weighed in last Friday so this week was a fairly standard loss. Think I just had a woosh in the first week after cutting out carbs (mostly)
But everything is fitting better and I'm back to (almost) my old shape except for round the middle. I'm holding weight on my stomach and hips which is all from pregnancy. Would like to shift that but can cope if I don't

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:42

..and then I think if I were to weigh 9 stone something then what would I look like! I don't think I look overweight just now!

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:44

I am the same @huff. I had my dd 8 years ago but I have had quite few pregnancies so my weight lies on my stomach and hips. Most recently my boobs have got bigger so a bit of weight on them too but I have very definitely shrunk as my bra feels looser.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:46

But I am slightly..so a bit 'chubby' Ooooh how I hate that word! Only for babies and small children. [ Didn't get over it when someone called me that. I put it down to the language barrier cause the person that said it wasn't from here]

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:48

That was a few years back mind you.
I was looking at photos of me 3 years ago. I thought I looked fat at the time and I hated seeing the photos. I was amazed I thought I looked fat!!! I looked so slim in the photos!!! Why did I see myself as fat then? I remember thinking OMG I look so fat!! Yet now I look at myself and think, I looked so slim!!!

OP posts:
Huffthepuff · 23/08/2019 09:48

@neveradullmoment99 you don't look overweight at all! You always look so slim! BMI calculators don't take into account frame and build so you can't just go off that

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:54

Thanks @huff. I think bmi is just a lot of rubbish too. I have just woken up in a low mood I think. Thanks for making me feel better :)

you do look great never really, you do.. Fab in fact.. great bone structure and fantastically stylish.. .. I think its easy to over judge yourself.. I do it all the time,

I watched the Kathy Burke programme on women's looks last week and she really made me think just how daft I can be about my weight looks.. ,. My problem is that I am over critical (of everything about myself) ,have a tendency to bash myself up and dont always manage to stay that positive..

My boobs are too big I think and I am at least a stone over weight , AND its all on my tummy, but then I am healthy , have naturally good skin luckily and quite honestly I dont think too grim looking for nearly 62. , BUT I dont always believe that !!. and i do need to lose the tum and exercise more for health reasons , ( and drink less) I know that .!!_

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 10:20

and decent legs .. I think.. ,oh and shoulders .. see!! i like some things about myself !! Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 10:38

awww...you are all so lovely. I am totally critical about myself and totally agree with Kathy Burke principles that society has made us very judgmental about how we should look and and its nice to look and feel nice but not to beat yourself up about it. Many of us do.
@Laska, we should look to our positive bits. legs, bone structure, hair and focus on the things we like :)
You do have great legs btw :)

Yes @neveradullmoment99 totally agree you look great in your pictures. Perfectly slim and always looking stylish

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 10:41

Oh @Ellapaella I laugh as I am currently in my nightshirt and leggings and a pair of old socks sitting on my bed typing this Grin.

Thank you for your lovely compliment :) I wouldn't dream of going out like this however I did answer the door but I don't care about the postman.

Grin I actually spend most of my time in my Pj's. As soon as I get in the house they go on.

Huffthepuff · 23/08/2019 12:00

I loved that Kathy Burke programme so much. Yes we are all far too critical of ourselves. It doesn't do us any good at all! Just a pointless exercise

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 13:50

I just went for a swim at our local beach and wore my bikini! ( big pants though!!) .

Huffthepuff · 23/08/2019 14:24

🙌 @Laska2Meryls that's the spirit!

noodlezoodle · 23/08/2019 18:54

That Kathy Burke programme sounds great, will have to see if I can iPlayer it. I've been reading a bit about 'body neutrality' recently which sounds more achievable to me than body positivity. I don't think I'm ever going to look at my belly and think 'wow I love you, wobbly belly' but it seems achievable to look at myself neutrally as a whole and think that I can accept myself. (Would be a lot easier of course if there was less belly to look at).

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 20:35

noodle its on Channel 4 so you'll need to access their catch up player
link here
The one I have seen is the first one on Beauty

noodlezoodle · 24/08/2019 02:14

Thanks Laska, that's even better - the Channel 4 catch up player is much easier to use for me than iplayer!

neveradullmoment99 · 24/08/2019 10:05

Well I'm having a normal eating day today. Decided to have a day off like Soyo does! I won't overdo it, just eating normally. I have had a couple of slices of toast and butter today!

Disastrous attempt at egg muffins for lunch Blush more like baked omelette in the end. MFP says 243 calories in these.

Quite tasty even though they look a big mess. I puta bit of ham and a sprinkle of Parmesan in to add some flavour.

Laska2Meryls · 24/08/2019 13:15

iloike egg muffins ella often make them with ham or smoked salmon..

We had mussels last night cooked in spicy tomatoey sauce, I did have couple of small bits of french bread to mop up the juices , and a couple of glasses of wine, .. not too bad though. I didn't drink much as was taking ibruprofen for my poor wasp-stung hand..

today , I have had couple slices toast and marmite, (wont bother with lunch ) and this evening's pan is to do going to be baked eggs on tomatoes peppers and chorizo .. (yum!)
