Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Can I join?
My weight today is 61kg. I don't necessarily have a weight goal but all my jeans are getting too tight and I don't want to buy bigger ones.

My plan for June is
Low carb heading for nearly keto after week 1
No Sneaky choc bars / biscuits
Drink more water
Exercise every day - weights / walk / yoga

We'll see how it goes. I weighed myself at the machine in the super market today so I'll weigh myself again there next Monday

Cheguevarahamster · 03/06/2019 15:38

So sorry to hear you are having a hard time op.

Letthemysterybe · 03/06/2019 15:47

Hello everyone, I’m joining you from today. I just want to end the month lighter than I start. I’m starting at 10 stone 6 which I know isn’t huge, but I’m carrying all of my
weight around my middle which isn’t healthy. I started exercising, 3 times a week, last month but that’s had no effect on my weight at all so this month I’m going to focus on cutting out sweet stuff and snacking.

HippoHips · 03/06/2019 15:59

Sorry to hear it’s so tough for you all at the moment OP. 14 is such a tricky age. Hope your DS feels calmer when you collect him. I had some toast for breakfast, and a prawn sandwich and crisps from M&S for lunch (grab bag size Blush) I’m going to avoid snacking for the whole of the rest of the day though to make up for it and I have done a 2 hour walk with the dog. I am rubbish at calorie counting as I always look at the saturated fat rather than calories when I make choices. I think I read once that it’s the saturated fat that pickles your heart but maybe, when it comes to dieting, that’s where I’m going wrong??

Howlongtillbedtime · 03/06/2019 16:35

cricketmum I hope your day has improved. I have a 15 yr old son at home so feel your pain.

Day 1 is going well so far but then it's not really day 1 that is generally the issue is it ?
Its theother 364 Days that follow Grin

lemonbalmtea · 03/06/2019 17:19

Today's food has been delicious too.

Breakfast - porridge with cinammon, cacao powder, pumpkin seeds, banana, goats yoghurt, blueberries (slices of orange would also go well)

Lunch - Discovered I can put Tesco's frozen veggie burgers in the toaster! Working my way through Dr's Kitchen cookbook - made carrots and peas cooked in black mustard seeds with added quinoa, and mixed some yoghurt, coriander and a sprinkle of chilli.

Off to (beginners) running club shortly so will snack on toast and a banana.

Dinner is trout with greens and a jacket potato.

1500 cals.

LooseAtTheSeams · 03/06/2019 18:13

Cricket so sorry - sounds like you're having a very hard time and I hope things are a bit better now.
Today's been good so far - managed not to snack! Had large salad for lunch. Not sure what's for dinner yet, though!

BrillyPribble · 03/06/2019 18:25

cricket that sounds so tough, keep on keeping on.
I had a calorific lunch (quorn burger in a bun and a packet of crisps - leftover from bbq yesterday) so making my favourite soup for tea, it's a spicy carrot and lentil one. Absolutely delicious and filling and low cal.

AllGoodDogs · 03/06/2019 18:26

I'm so here for this! 11st 4lbs today. Goal weight is around 10st.

I had an 88 cal brownie and an apple at work this morning, a bagel & a satsuma for lunch, lasagne for dinner.

I'm not on any plan other than just trying to cut out crisps, cakes, biscuits, chocolate. I have to try and cut them out cold turkey as I have zero self control and couldn't stop at "just a little bit".

LooseAtTheSeams · 03/06/2019 18:59

Spaghetti bolognese (vegan) for tea - think that's ok considering very calorie light the rest of the day!

Jeds55 · 03/06/2019 19:17

Porridge for breakfast
Tuscan bean soup and 2 slice bread for lunch
Snacks apple, banana
Got risotto for tea, will have some yogurt and berries after or a cereal bar
Got out for a quick run at lunchtime
Feeling virtuous but as pp said day 1 is always ok, need to make it long term habit
Jealous of some of your meals, they sound much more exciting

hopeful31yrs · 03/06/2019 20:11

Broke my 10 no loss plateau with a sudden drop of 0.8kg. Total weight loss of 7.1kg... 65.4kg on scale... and 60kg my first goal (healthy BMI).

Had chicken and broad bean salad and basil pesto from marks and spencer, 2x oat bites, banana and small glass of wine. Still have a few hundred calories before close of kitchen.

25 min workout also under belt.

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 20:20

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. He's home and much calmer. Turned out he was angry because he had overheard half a conversation and totally got the wrong end of the stick but then sat on it and stewed for over a week. We've had a good long chat and he's actually been sat in the living room with us this evening instead of retreating to his room!

Everyone's food is sounding amazing today! I had the quorn chilli for dinner tonight. Accidentally ate half a bag of pretzel flips earlier though and I only half regret it. I haven't tracked today either. Back on it tomorrow!

Nice one cricket.
I had half a pizza with veggies and salad. I would normally have a whole one. Just trying to make small changes to get a gradual weight loss. Had a banana afterwards rather then ice cream with the kids.

Moominfan · 03/06/2019 20:40

Hit my calorie count, gym blasted in morning. House is free of snacks.

Crazzzycat · 03/06/2019 21:19

That’s excellent news cricketmum

I went for a 1.5 hr walk after work, up a steep mountain, so I’ve definitely done my exercise for today 😅

After my falafel salad lunch, dinner was noodle salad with spring rolls...there’s a bit of a salad theme here today!

Snacks were some delicious strawberries, 2 chocolate rice cakes and a few breadsticks with spicy feta spread. All delicious! Smile

Moominfan · 03/06/2019 21:28

That is some steely discipline to eat half a bag. They're so moorish I can fly through an entire bag, which I guess why I'm on here haha.

Millie2018 · 03/06/2019 21:35

One for you Cricket

Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June
Fluffiest · 03/06/2019 21:40

Glad things are calmer cricket.

I'm impressed with the virtuous cooking on the thread. We had gammon with mushroom sauce, rosemary potatoes and peas for tea. Not very virtuous but I had a smaller portion than I usually do and I have not snacked at all today.

And I have been active today which I am pleased with: a morning walk, afternoon gardening, evening run. I'm done in now!

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 21:50

@Millie2018 ❤️❤️ thankyou x

@Moominfathe only reason I ate half a bag is because my daughter ate the other half!! If she hadn't have been here they would have all been mine 😂

DeadButDelicious · 03/06/2019 22:15

Evening all!

Today looked like this;

B: All Bran cereal and whole milk.

L: Chicken breast with tomato & vegetable sauce and a lunchbox sized malt loaf.

D: 2 quorn fillets, baked potato, sprouts, broccoli and green beans with another malt loaf.

S: A gingerbread bear.

Total cals: 1,311. The macros on my fitness pal says 51% carbs, 19% fat and 29% protein.

Didn't get a walk in but I have done a boat load of washing so in my mind that counts as exercise Grin.

OhTheRoses · 03/06/2019 22:33

Oh bloody hell cricket. Teens are a do and a half. I know all about CAMHS. Pm me if you need to.

Been out on the lash for a leaving do.

Flowers
cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 22:43

@OhTheRoses hope you had a lovely night :) he is under CAMHS at the moment and we seem to be working toward an ASD diagnosis. However he has now started refusing to go to his CAMHS appointments. What on Earth do you do in that situation?

I honestly feel like I'm sinking in thick mud and constantly fighting. I fought for a private counsellor and once he got assigned one he refused to go, I fought for CAMHS intervention and he's refusing to go. I fought for additional help at school yet he still refuses to go. I swear I don't even need the gym with how knackered I feel!

peanutbutterismydownfall · 03/06/2019 22:44

Came in at under 1200 calories today, did an hour long weights session, did some quite hard core cleaning for a few hours today and also swam a couple of lengths. On the flip side, included in the 1200 calories are two dark chocolate rice cakes and two GF cookies. So much for deciding to avoid sugar...
Feeling horribly bloated at the moment, both around my stomach & my ankles. I've eaten loads of veg today and drunk about 3l of water but it's had no effect (other than to make me need to dash to the loo on several occasions)

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 22:45

@peanutbutterismydownfall awesome work :)
