Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Oh no cricket. That’s really tough on you. Sending you hugs 💐

lightlypoached · 03/06/2019 08:15

A good active weekend: 13k steps on sat (some in high heels!) Did a hard yoga class yesterday followed by 4 hours of gardening.
Was out for night and only had 2 slimline g&ts and sat just 1.5 glasses of wine. On sun half a bottle 😬
1200 calories yesterday and doing an 800 cal day today.

nodtik · 03/06/2019 08:16

Definitely a better day than you - that must be very worrying!

Weighed today, two days down and 1lb lighter, wine and crisps last night though, so not the greatest!

Back at work today so that should help me to stay on the straight and narrow!

Good luck all! Xx

DearPrudence · 03/06/2019 08:23

Can I join you a bit late - first Monday in June. I'm going away on 4 July so have exactly a month and would love to lose a stone. Start weight 17 st 3.

mrsed1987 · 03/06/2019 08:28

Right. 14 stone 11 and 3/4 not as bad as i expected as only half a lb more than a few weeks ago! We are going on holiday on 1st july so would like to weigh 14 4 by then. Im following slimming world as i like having a treat at the end of the day. My problem is ive been having treats all the time when im at home! Lol.

Ive also dug out my fit bit and will be aiming for 10,00 steps a day, this should be more than achievable baring in mind im on maternity leave!

Fluffiest · 03/06/2019 08:33

So sorry to hear that Cricket. That must be so hard, love to you.

Morning weigh in is at 10st1 again and that's OK. I got through the christening and lunch without going too mad on the buffet. Resisted wine and didn't finish my slice of chocolate cake.

Then in the afternoon we did a little family walk. It was rather sedate because DD was dawdling as only a three year old can! But at least we were up and moving.

I'm on annual leave for two weeks now so going to do some gardening today and go for a run this afternoon.

Here's to having a good start Monday!

Wellthatwastricky · 03/06/2019 08:43

Oh no cricketmum, I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope today is better and you can find a way through with your DS.

I'm back on it today, after a very lax four days off. Astonishingly, despite a very rich meal out, having pizza, a big BBQ, and consuming a lot of ice cream and alcohol, I've not gained anything. Very pleased to have maintained.

Have a horrendous cold and wish I wasn't in sole charge of a one year old today. Sacking off my exercise class tonight so I can get to bed early. Food plans are

Lunch: Crudités with chicken breast
Dinner: homemade three bean chilli with wild rice
Snack: low cal ice cream and raspberries
Copious amounts of black coffee

Crazzzycat · 03/06/2019 08:48

carrottopper the main reason 16:8 works is because it’s actually quite difficult to eat too many calories in an eight hour window. You could do it a few days a week, but that may make it a little bit more difficult to stick to, especially at the start.

Feeling light headed is simply a sign that your body is getting used to less food. If you can work your way through that for a few days, things will get so much easier.

I personally had a lot of problems with dizziness on 16:8, especially when trying to exercise in my fasting window. But 6 weeks in, I can do 30 minutes of intensive exercise in that time, without feeling like I’m fainting! So it gets much much easier. Good luck Smile

Jeds55 · 03/06/2019 09:19

Sorry to hear that OP - hope things get better soon.
11 stone 1 on scales this morning - feeling determined (but always am in the morning...)
Have a good day all

DeadButDelicious · 03/06/2019 09:25

Morning everyone! As suspected, no loss this week BUT only a 0.1kg gain so not too bad at all. It's took me out of the 3 stone loss bracket though so time to pull my socks up and get back on it.

Weight at end of May: 123.2kg

3/6/2019: 123.3kg

Loss so far in June: +0.1kg gain

Weight at beginning of the year: 142.9kg
Total loss so far: 18.6 kg (2.929 stones/41.006lbs)

I clocked up 10.7km of walking over the weekend, which I'm quite happy with. Well on my way too 134.1km this month. I've also had my move goal on my Apple Watch increased from 740 to 810 so I need to move a bit more everyday to close that ring. Which is positive. Keeps me motivated.

I've kicked rubbish May out the door and I'm embracing June.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time with DS cricket. Thanks

Lookingforpizza · 03/06/2019 09:48

@cricket so sorry to hear about your DS. And your poor DD. It must be so difficult, I hope you’re all okay Flowers

Ready to be back on track today. Had a good-ish day yesterday as we did a lot of walking to and from to get some bits and pieces to around town. I ended up walking about 9 miles overall. Didn’t go mad with food but certainly could have been better. I’m in at 80.2 this morning, so going to try and have a really good day to bring myself to under 80. Today’s food:
Breakfast: Alpen and yoghurt (and a skinny latte)
Lunch: Chicken salad
Dinner: Cottage pie
Snacks: possibly some chocolate and a hot chocolate

I’ve got a long day today as I have a 2 hour driving lesson straight from work. Hope everyone else has a good start to the week! Smile

Pinkvici22 · 03/06/2019 09:56

Cricket sorry you’re going through a tough time - that doesn’t make weight loss easy.

I’ve made a good start to the day - HIIT workout at 6am, school run on foot, planned meals for the day.

Happy Monday everyone!

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 10:13

Thanks everyone. I suppose the only bonus is that I'm a stress starver rather than a stress eater!

Going to pick him up from my mums in a short while as he wouldn't come home last night after we found him.

I've prepped some pepper and carrot batons to go with low fat hummous to make sure I eat something during the day today. DHs turn to cook tonight and he's making me a quorn chilli.

Hi Cricket. Hope it all goes well. Look after yourself.
I'm currently having trouble avoiding the biscuits while making up the baby's bottle in the middle of the night. Need to toughen up and stop thinking 'One won't hurt'!

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 10:34

@Baloonphobia put the biscuits somewhere difficult to get to them and have a fruit bowl instead. I put all the biscuits in a high cupboard that I'm too short to reach without stretching 😂

@DeadButDelicious what a fantastic weight loss
Keep on keeping 😊

Crazzzycat · 03/06/2019 11:19

cricketmum sorry to hear you’re having such a hard time. I hope things soon start settling down for you.

I started off my day with an early morning walk. It was an absolutely glorious morning and really made me realise what I’ve been missing out on by sitting on the sofa and stuffing my face for years 🙈 I hope I’ll never go back to that.

I also had a pretty motivational weekend. After the surprise of fitting into size 12 jeans on Saturday, I went through a big pile of clothes in my wardrobe that I was convinced were way too small. Turns out about 80% of them actually fit!

It’s funny how, when you’ve been losing weight for a while, it’s easy to lose track of how much you’ve actually changed. It seems that, in my head I’m a lot bigger than I actually am. That was an interesting discovery!

ImpossibleNovelty · 03/06/2019 11:39

Sorry to hear things are tough cricketmum - I hope things calm down soon.
Tricky eating day today as I’m out for the evening somewhere that will definitely only sell chips and burgers. Will have to have a really decent lunch and maybe just skip dinner. I hate missing meals though, I’m like a hobbit!

Fluffiest · 03/06/2019 12:40

Mmm just had a bigger lunch than I really should have had but just dropped DD off at nursery and going to try and make up for it by being on the move for the next three hours. Time for energetic housework and maybe even a run!

LeukaeLucky · 03/06/2019 14:39

Lunch was grilled chicken and a salad with one slice of bread
What about you lovely people?

ImpossibleNovelty · 03/06/2019 14:57

Huge chorizo and cheese omelette for lunch. I’m not really that keen on eggs Hmm but filled a low carb gap! Your lunch sounds much nicer Grin

LeukaeLucky · 03/06/2019 15:09

@ImpossibleNovelty I love chorizo 😍😍 just had a mini Vienna ice lolly. It's only 65 calories and tames my cravings

DeadButDelicious · 03/06/2019 15:11

Oven baked chicken breast in a tomato and vegetable sauce. And a cheeky bit of malt loaf. 399 cals all in!

Crazzzycat · 03/06/2019 15:15

My lunch was pita bread, falafel, carrot sticks and salad, and some spicy feta spread. It was delicious 😋

Skinnywish1 · 03/06/2019 15:16

Ohmyroses I'm diagnosed coeliac so allergic to gluten but I find it very hard to stay away from.

I weighed this morning my usual Monday routine and I'm up to 11st 12. I'm not happy.
I can do this
