Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

This mornings weigh in 10st. I'm really encouraged by that, now to keep up operation snack resistance and the move more initiative!

First hurdle will be making sensible options when I meet my friend for breakfast this morning

LeukaeLucky · 04/06/2019 07:16

Good morning
Today is my fasting day. I have 500 calories to spend 😁
I've got a fitness class booked for 11 and it's my lo's sports day.
OP my daughter refused cahms too and the team advised me to not force her as she was completely refusing to engage
Instead they offered me counselling which was good and helped me reflect on our issues. Hope things improve for you soon but teenagers are hard work!
Have a successful day people

LeukaeLucky · 04/06/2019 07:17

This morning weigh in 59.8
Happy to be under the 60 kilos threshold.
That's - 2 kilos for me 😊

Mum7777 · 04/06/2019 07:28

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through cricket I hope it gets better soon.

Howlongtillbedtime · 04/06/2019 08:02

Good morning
Day 2 here and my plan is
Soup for lunch ( I had tuna yesterday and that is my other go to)
Dinner I am thinking of something veggie but haven't decided. Any inspiration ?
Fruit and a packet of sunbites will be my snack.

I am going to try and get to the gym after work as I won't be able to go tomorrow.

I hope you all have a better day cricketmum

Pinkvici22 · 04/06/2019 08:08

Wow some great losses already!

I’ve done my morning HIIT workout and got all my meals ready for the day. I think the key for me really is planning - if I plan and prepare my food and make sure I fit in exercise I can do it. Have a great day everyone.

Wellthatwastricky · 04/06/2019 08:15

Bloody hell cricket, it's sounds emotionally and mentally exhausting. No wonder you're knackered.

Weigh in day today, I've tipped into the next weight bracket - whoop! Lost 1.5lb since beginning of June.

Feeling awful - throat like it's been scrubbed with broken glass, chesty cough and an eye infection. Literally in survival mode for now, food plan approx

L: soup
D: baked chicken, roasted cauliflower and broccoli and new potatoes
S: raspberries, dark chocolate

For the poster who asked about easy veggie meals, regular ones I cook are:

Three bean chilli (had that for dinner yesterday!)
Pea and paneer balti
Chickpea and spinach tomato curry
Roasted veg with rice and halloumi
Tomato or pepper stuffed with cous cous
Low fat mac cheese using skimmed milk and 50% less pasta - bulk up instead with cauliflower, peppers, green beans and broccoli

cricketmum84 · 04/06/2019 09:13

Morning all and welcome to!

❤️ Day 4 ❤️

The teenager has refused to go to school (again) so I'm sat with an almond latte waiting for the welfare officer to come out. It means I'm missing another few hours of work which really ain't great when I've only been there 6 weeks. The cat has bloody fleas and I'm all out of gin.

@Wellthatwastricky ugh it's horrible feeling ill. Hope you perk up soon!

Am loving seeing all the losses, you are all doing amazing! I think I'm going to do a weekly tot up of losses on a Saturday to show how much we have lost as a group!

My plan for today is:
B - strawberries and fat free yoghurt
L - peppers and carrots with hoummous
D - 2 cauldron veggie sausages, baked sweet potato and broccoli

Remember that every single good choice we make adds up to the end result. One small bad choice isn't the end of the world!

We have got this!!!!

Hi all, long time lurker here. Can I join please? Looking for motivation to avoid the comfort carbs and eat more interesting veggies, not helped by two kids going through a fussy stage. Am 78kg, losing 3kg in June would be amazing.

lightlypoached · 04/06/2019 09:19

Moved into a swanky new office yesterday. It has the biggest snack area and drinks fridge I've ever seen (pics attached).
I was on an 800 day and managed to resist them all. And the amazing fresh croissants they offered for breakfast.

Held out for a delish Itsu chicken bento box for lunch 450 cals. And then homemade pesto pasta and salad for dinner. 860 cals in all but did 10k steps and 23 floors according to Fitbit so think I'm ok.

How's everyone else doing?

lightlypoached · 04/06/2019 09:21

Wow lightlypoached, well done on resisting that lot!

DeadButDelicious · 04/06/2019 11:00

Bloody hell lightlypouched can I come and work with you?Wink

Morning all. Decided to do a sneaky weigh in this morning as I was feeling a lot less bloated and puffy (bloody periods always make me blow up like a balloon) and I'd dropped from 123.3 to 123.1, which puts me back in the three stone lost bracket and has cheered me up as I was a bit grumpy about being back in the 2's.

3/6/2019: 123.3kg

4/6/2019: 123.1kg

Loss so far in June: 0.2kg

Weight at beginning of 2019: 142.9kg
Total loss so far: 19.8 kg (3.118 stones/43.652lbs)

Today I have to go to the post office and pop to the shop for cat food and veg. I'm going to take the long way round to get a good walk in after yesterday's laziness. Hopefully the rain will hold off!

Hoping things improve for you cricket, you're doing so well. The teenage years are rough. You've got this.

Crazzzycat · 04/06/2019 11:25

Bloody hell lightlypoached I’m actually quite shocked by that. Aren’t we in the middle of an obesity epidemic or something...🤔

I’m sure some of the staff will love that kind of setup, but it makes unhealthy snacking way too easy for my liking.

@howlongtillbedtime these are very popular in my house:

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetable-recipes/cool-mexican-bean-wraps/

It’s pretty easy to turn these into a more calorific meal for those not on a diet. I have them with salad (and extra chilli!). My teenagers have them with salad and chips/rice/baked potato. Everyone’s happy Smile

Thismummyruns · 04/06/2019 11:50

Hello!

Can I join in for inspiration & motivation?
I'm currently 3 weeks post-partum (please don't judge, I know it's quite soon still).
I'm not breastfeeding.

My reason for being here is to rein in my bad habits before they spiral out of control. I was in a fairly good place health & weight wise before pregnancy. I'd like to get back to that eventually but for the time being I can't even bear my photo being taken which is quite depressing when I should be enjoying my newborn.
So this is my pledge to myself to stay away from the snacks and crap and start to feel better about myself.

My overall goal is to get back to 11st 6lbs. I'm currently 15st 10lbs

snooksmcgee · 04/06/2019 12:35

Morning all. Finally managed to lose another lb after stalling a bit at the end of last week.
DD has been desperate to do some baking, so I finally relented and we made flapjacks, as I thought they would be a "healthier" choice than cupcakes. I had a couple of mouthfuls of the broken pieces only and then packed them up for school lunchboxes.
I'm going to try to up my step count this week and have even jogged around the garden a few times this morning!

Starting weight: 17st
Weight today: 16st 2lbs
Goal 30th June: 15st 10lbs
Goal for end of July: 15st 3lbs

Lookingforpizza · 04/06/2019 13:36

So I finally cracked under 80kg this morning which I’m really pleased with! Hoping that if I keep it up this week I’ll come in under 79kg when I do my official weigh in on Saturday.

Today’s food:
B: Alpen and yoghurt
L: Chicken salad
D: Chicken salad (DP is cooking and forgot to let me know so I wouldn’t end up duplicating Grin )
Snacks: Skinny latte, babybel light, hot chocolate and a few squares of chocolate tonight.

Got my lunch time walk in today as well despite the office being manic today!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Saladforsantorini · 04/06/2019 14:23

Hello everyone! Can I join too please? I’m on another thread that seems to have died. I’ve been going for abit 3 weeks now. Starting weight was 9st 10lbs, dropped to 9st 4lbs last week but the weekend just gone was unavoidably crappy food orientated! So my starting weight for June is 9 st 6lbs.
Today’s food has been:
Breakfast: skyr yoghurt, apple and banana
Lunch: 2 eggs on 2 pieces of wholemeal toast + 1 tsp of butter
Dinner: Will be chicken and green veg (due to carby lunch)
Snacks: 1 raw red pepper chopped, with 1/3 cup of homemade guac to dip.
Water: so far....600ml ....need to get a shift on.
Exercise: 2 gym classes tonight (lbt and spin + 30mins of incline walking)
...sorry for the essay! Blush

Crazzzycat · 04/06/2019 14:50

Well done @lookingforpizza ! Can I ask you how tall you are? It’s just that we’re almost an identical weight, but you seem to be losing weight so much faster than me, so I’m being nosy 🙈

Lookingforpizza · 04/06/2019 16:06

Haha no worries @crazzzycat - I’m 5”5! When I put my mind to it I do tend to lose quite quickly for the first month or two then it soon levels out.

I’m bloody starving this afternoon though and just realised I’ll not be eating tea until half 8 as I’m going to an event straight from work. Trying not to saunter to the cafe at work to get a brownie or something...

Crazzzycat · 04/06/2019 16:28

I see...I’ve been doing this for more than 5 months now lookingforpizza, so that probably explains why you’re losing weight a bit faster than me.

I do find it weirdly motivational to have a “weight-twin” though, although I am a bit taller at 5”10. I promise I will only use it in a positive way Smile

Howlongtillbedtime · 04/06/2019 17:03

Thank you for the recipes tricky and crazzzycat I find if I stick to veggie dinners it helps keep me on track.

I managed to get to the gym again today which I am pleased about as I had many excuses not too bother. Nothing major just a v busy day at work which would normally make me head home for a large gin and some kettle chips.

Lookingforpizza · 04/06/2019 17:35

Haha weight twin! I like it - what’s your end goal @crazzzycat? I’m looking to get down to 70kg, hoping to get there September/October time.

I couldn’t fight the hanger anymore and ended up scoffing a dark kitkat. Don’t think it’ll keep me full but it was delicious- I’d already budgeted for chocolate so I’ll just skip today’s dessert to make up for it!

BrillyPribble · 04/06/2019 17:38

Ha crazzzycat, we're height twins! I'm much heavier though, roughly 89 kg at the moment. What's your goal weight?

peanutbutterismydownfall · 04/06/2019 17:52

It's always cheering to see weight losses on these threads as it spurs me on.
I fell into the biscuit tin when I got home. I need to have some healthy alternatives which will give me something to raid as soon as I walk through the door. Hopefully not too much damage as all I have eaten today is porridge with water & a tbsp
of Fage yogurt, grilled fish & salad & the biscuits. DH stopped off at the supermarket on the way home & has also got fish & salad for us to have for dinner tonight! And I should manage a run or a trip to the gym tonight.
