Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Just posted on the calorie count one, am new, just finding my feet!!

So, holiday is at the end of the month
Tried on bikini today. Disaster, I look disgusting

A stone would be fabulous. I going with veggie smoothies for breakfast and lunch and small portion of the family dinner with a load of salad

30day shred for exercise

Good luck to all X

feedmewinenow · 02/06/2019 20:38

Late to the party but I bring wine, I mean celery sticks!
Hit 40 next year and whilst family think we're booking a cottage break next year to celebrate that...there may be a cheeky, surprise trip to the registry office whilst we're there! This is my motivation so I am in! Love hearing all your positive stories and quotes and whilst I'm more of a lurker, I am here and in for this challenge! I'm excited and can't wait to feel fitter, less lethargic and fit in my bloody clothes!!!

peanutbutterismydownfall · 02/06/2019 20:46

@HippoHips I think I'm your twin! I have turned from a pear into an apple in the last couple of years and am missing my old shape (which I used to moan about!). My boobs done the
whole tennis balls in socks things well, more like golf balls really since having & bfing DC x 2 and I hate the fact that, side on, there is almost no outward curve where my boobs are and then a massive one for my stomach. It makes shopping for tops really tricky as everything has to be loose over my boobs to accommodate my stomach &, if a longer top or dress, my hips & backside too.
I've been on the mirena coil for a year which hasn't necessarily made things worse but certainly hasn't helped and I think I'm peri.

ImpossibleNovelty · 02/06/2019 21:10

Hi to all! Just checking in for some accountability - will hopefully catch up with the thread properly tomorrow. Have been away camping but managed to stay lowish carb (if you ignore the half of cider and a rogue marshmallow!). Previously my camping has involved endless carbs and sugar so I’m quite proud. Now away for work for the next few days so am a bit anxious about the food choices but it’s a new way of eating so I have to be flexible. Wish me luck Grin

Chocolatecake12 · 02/06/2019 21:11

I got through the bbq today without pigging out too much but did indulge in a glass or 5 of pimms.
Got the salad and veggie leftovers for lunch tomorrow at work.
Good luck to those weighing in tomorrow morning.

didireallysaythat · 02/06/2019 21:37

I fell off the wagon but I need to get back into the only pair of summer work trousers I like. That's my goal (more than numbers on the scales). So I've made my lunches for the next two days, I'm going to weigh in on mfp and I'll let you know what the damage is. 3kg this month would be more than I could hope for - I need to get my head to want it!

Jeds55 · 02/06/2019 22:18

Hi all, can I join please...starting tomorrow after another weekend of stuffing my face. Need to lose 2 stone overall but intermediate target is my brother's wedding in under 7 weeks. Would be really happy with 8lbs in June. Since having a baby 14 months ago I cannot stay away from sweet things, wasn't fussed before. Will try to get out for regular runs too but know it's mainly diet that will make the difference at first. Good luck all

diamantegal · 02/06/2019 22:42

Ooh, late to the party, but I'm in. Holiday in mid - July and I'd really like to be able to wear all those tops in my wardrobe which currently just make me look pregnant. Blush

Planning to just reduce calories, particularly the liquid ones. Am giving myself tonight to have a drink, and then not drinking at home for the next four weeks. Which should hopefully also reduce the post - alcohol carb craving.

Opening weigh in tomorrow. And then hopefully downhill from there!

carrottopper · 02/06/2019 22:42

I'm in. Need to achieve it this month.

How can I track calorie loss through exercise if I don't have a watch to measure steps etc? I was thinking of doing a few Hiit programmes from you tube and 15 minutes jogging on the spot at home. How can I calculate this loss?

didireallysaythat · 02/06/2019 22:51

@carrottropper - I don't count the calories I work off as exercise as calories I can then eat. But I have a bit to lose so need all the help I can get

carrottopper · 02/06/2019 23:24

Ah ok yes that's what I should be doing too.

No snacking is a nightmare for me so I've used exercise to earn a snack.

I get quite lightheaded and panic that I'm wasting away!!! Anyone else? How do you deal with it? I know I'm definitely not wasting away! I'm aiming to do 1200 calories a day but find it so hard and I'm so hungry between lunch and dinner.

OhTheRoses · 03/06/2019 05:49

Feeling quite low as it's shifting quite slowly. Scales this morning register a 10.5lb loss since 15th April. And that's 3.5lb since 1st May Sad

BrillyPribble · 03/06/2019 06:26

carrot, I struggle with feeing lightheaded when hungry too and have previously found it really hard to ignore. Bizarrely, I'm finding doing 16:8 fasting (although it's more like 15:9 to be honest) is working well for me. Basically, you aim to spend 16 hours 'fasted' and eat all your daily calories within an 8 hour window. In practice it means I don't eat anything after 7 or 8 pm and before 11am. I find it easier to not eat in the mornings, I don't get too hungry. I have a couple of cups of tea then eat a small snack at 11.
It means your calories are spread over 2 meals and snacks rather than 3 meals a day.

HippoHips · 03/06/2019 06:32

That’s still a loss though OhTheRoses. Don’t despair. I am sure I read somewhere that there is a medical reason they often tell you to ditch the scales and base it on fitting into clothes etc. Stones and pounds weight itself is so deceptive as the body does crazy things when you shock it in to shedding fat. It’s the reason most people give up a couple of months in, as they plateau on the scales and feel it’s no longer working. 10.5lb since April is huge. Hang in there!!

PeanutButter you sound exactly my shape. Side on I look permanently 4 months pregnant. Am convinced bigger baps would balance my figure but, as I can’t afford a boob job, 3kg in June and Mumsnet it’ll have to be Grin

didireallysaythat · 03/06/2019 06:57

Ok. 75.9kg on a bright sunny morning.im off for a little pre work walk otherwise I do less than 5k steps a day (lunch at desk or in meetings alas)

carrottopper · 03/06/2019 07:12

I've been reading about the 16:8. I might try it today as I'm off work. I love my porridge in a morning though so will miss that!

Startoftheyear2019 · 03/06/2019 07:24

Woke up this morning determined to do it this month - haven't dieted at all this weekend but really want to start today. Good luck all!

Howlongtillbedtime · 03/06/2019 07:25

Good morning can I jump on with you all ?

Weighed this morning and I am 14:2 and my final goal is to get to 11 but for now my goal for the end of June will be 13:9

I am going to cal count and get to the gym 3 times a week at least.

I feel better when I eat healthier and get to the gym and I don't understand why I keep sabotaging myself with crisps and crap!

Will have a read through the thread today and if anyone has any good lunch tips I would be grateful. My go to is soup which in nicer weather isn't ideal. And if I make a sandwich I am incapable of eating it without crisps.. .

LeukaeLucky · 03/06/2019 07:30

@carrottopper in some apps you can choose the activity and intensity. I know that's the case for lifesum and ww. Pretty sure it's also on MFP

mrsed1987 · 03/06/2019 07:31

Ok I am joining. Weighing in this morning....

LeukaeLucky · 03/06/2019 07:34

Good morning
60.8. I've somehow lost 1kilo despite having Macdonald (but was still under my calories for the day)
My body is so bizarre
Anyway today I have an aqua gym class and I'm planning on doing some cycling too.
My shopping arrived yesterday evening so no excuse for clean eating
Have a successful day

SnowyLaMarr · 03/06/2019 07:41

Hi everyone. I've been on 16:8 ish since October and have lost almost a stone very slowly. I would love to get to my ideal weight of 9.5 stone by end of June - meaning a half a stone loss. I've found missing breakfast has really worked for me so far..

cricketmum84 · 03/06/2019 07:55

Hello ❤️ Day 3 ❤️

I'm really sorry it's a very short one from me today and I haven't had chance to catch up with the thread properly. My DS who is 14 ran away from home again late last night. Thankfully we found him but he is just so full of anger and hatred towards us. My DD (10) just totally broke down and was crying hysterically but wouldn't talk to me because she says I have enough to worry about.

I'm emotionally exhausted and just have no idea where to go next.

Hope everyone had a better day than me xx

Sorry to hear op Thanks

carrottopper · 03/06/2019 08:10

Will 16:8 work if I do it just a few times a week? Or does it need to be full time?

Sorry to hear about your son Cricketmum. Hope things settle down soon.
