Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Dammit! Posted too early!

I'm not entirely certain my scales are working properly, I've replaced the battery and made sure they are on level ground but they keep on switching themselves off and throwing up random numbers before they settle on something. I weighed myself several times this morning and this is what came up so I'm going to take it but it seems a bit much. New scales are in order I think!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Saladforsantorini · 17/06/2019 09:25

Weighed myself yesterday and I was 9st5, not too bad considering I ate my way through Saturday...we went to one of those pop up food market places and I devoured a burrito bowl and then a kinder beuno waffle. Lots of regret haha.
I’m moving house this week but utterly determined to still keep on track.
Today -
B - Alra protein yoghurt
L - Fresh tomato soup
D - Chicken salad

Will also be dragging my ass to the gym for a hiit class. I’ve not got 5 weeks until we go to Greece so I need to up my game!
Good luck for the week everyone xx

DirtyDennis · 17/06/2019 09:38

I had a bit of a bad weekend. I weighed myself on Friday and I'd lost 1.5lbs. YAY

Then on Saturday me and DP fell off the wagon with wine, nibbles and puddings. I don't think we went over 2,000 calories though. Plus, we walked about 2.5 miles on Saturday morning so that's got to have eaten up some calories.

Then on Sunday we were a bit hungover so we accidentally did the same thing again. Fortunately when we were in the middle of cooking tea it transpired that DP had forgotten to buy the sausages that we were having (sausages, potatoes, veg, stuffing) so that saved a few calories. It was a bit of an odd tea but basically fine.
Again, I don't think I was over 2,000 calories.

So, this week I'm back on the wagon HARD. I'm aiming for 1,000 calories every day for the next week. I'm at a work thing tomorrow with lunch provided but I'll just have to be good.

Saturday 6th July is the last day of the diet - 19 days and 4lbs to go Grin

DirtyDennis · 17/06/2019 09:43

So today's food is:

B: Cornflakes (100 Cal)
L: Bean burrito with crisps (350 Cal)
T: Salmon with avocado salad and vegetables (500 Cal)
Snacks: NOPE, zero calorie fizzy pop if I need something to make me feel a bit full.

BrillyPribble · 17/06/2019 09:59

@LooseAtTheSeams lentil cakes sound delicious, do you have a recipe for them?

ilovetrees30 · 17/06/2019 10:10

Only a 1lb off for me this week but i had had an indian takeaway the night before weigh in so not sure if that was helping. So total of 6lbs so far. Just a minimum of another 6lb to go before the 18th july to get me into the normal bmi range and my first fertility clinic appointment. Sorry I am not more active on here I am just so busy at work and home its crazy!!

Wellthatwastricky · 17/06/2019 10:16

Crazzzy I am so pleased for you, well done!

Thanks for all the kind words last week when I was finding it all a bit much. I must say, these threads have really helped me stay motivated and I love the accountability as well as how kind and supportive everyone is. I've never been interested in going to a group weight loss thingy but this is just the ticket.

So, I'm back in the game! Not 100% recovered and have inevitably spread my germs and my poor one year old is seriously suffering, so I'm under no illusions it's a touch week ahead. BUT after letting it all go for 5 days, I'm over it, I actually want to get back to healthier food. And by some bloody miracle I actually lost just under 1lb this week, despite eating things like macaroni cheese, chips and my body weight in sugary chocolate. Bizarre but not complaining.

lightlypoached · 17/06/2019 11:01

morning.

62.8 this morning but on a fast day today so will kick start myself back into the downward trend again.

I have bought the Fast800 book on Kindle so am doing it 'properly' now.

Bookishandblondish · 17/06/2019 11:24

Lost 1.5lbs from last week ( despite huge Indian for Father’s Day). Getting back on track - and hopefully back to exercise ( pulled muscle in calf so have been hobbling around rather than my normal stuff)

DeadButDelicious · 17/06/2019 11:26

New scales purchased! They have carpet feet apparently so I may try and situate them
upstairs so they have a permanent spot rather than them being tucked away in the kitchen.

I swear though if I gain like 10 stone because my old scales were wrong I'm going to cry! Grin

Lookingforpizza · 17/06/2019 11:41

Hey all! Went a bit off track over the weekend but it hasn’t been too disastrous. Hoping to kick off some of the bloat this week and start to see losses again! Today’s food:
B: Alpen and yoghurt
L: Tomato and bean soup
D: Salmon and egg fried brown rice with chilli
Snacks: Snack a jacks, maltesers and possibly a banana later.

Brings me in at around 1200 - 1300. Hoping to hit 88kg this week but that might be optimistic!

Feeling a bit miserable this week with work being a bit crap, some other stuff going on as well but trying to not let it get to me!

Skinnywish1 · 17/06/2019 11:42

I lost the 3.5lb I had gained during last week so I'm happy. Going to keep plucking away this week. Everyone is doing fab

Crazzzycat · 17/06/2019 12:36

Afternoon everyone. I started off the day with a gruelling session on the cross-trainer. I had to take a break at one point, as I felt like I might keel over 😳

Through a lot of trial and error, I’ve discovered that exercising first thing in the morning is infinitely better for my mental health than exercising later in the day. But it feels so much harder physically. I really need to find a way to incorporate morning exercise in a way that doesn’t leave me feeling sick 😂

To all who gained over the weekend, don’t worry too much about that. In my experience a day of overeating hardly ever results in a real gain. It’s usually just water and gone in a day, or two.

LeukaeLucky · 17/06/2019 17:10

Had a good day so far with
L: grilled steak, salad and tomatoes with olive oil
Slice of bread
Nectarine
Snack: mini cheddar
D: the plan is to have watermelon and nectarine
Did 45 minutes of aqua gym
Trying to be super good ahead of a weekend in Paris where I'll be eating loads

Riddlediddle · 17/06/2019 18:43

Another 1lb lost this week making it a total of 5lb lost in 2 weeks which I'm really pleased with as although I've been sticking to the 1200 calories per day and exercise everyday I did have a papa John's stuffed crust pizza on Friday night!!
I have a girls night out in a couple of weeks and I tried my dress on tonight and although I don't look any different in normal day to day clothes I really felt I could see more of a waist in the dress so that's given me a bit of a confidence boost. Just 7lb more to go and I'll be at my target weight of 9st 8lb - hopefully will achieve this before my summer hols in August!
Keep going ladies we are all in this together x

Lookingforpizza · 17/06/2019 19:36

I’m honestly feeling the most stressed/upset/anxious I’ve felt in a good while and I’ve resisted all temptations to binge eat. I haven’t even really seriously considered binge eating either, just cracking on as planned.

So even though I’m not feeling positive about anything, at least I can feel good about that - progress!

OhTheRoses · 17/06/2019 20:58

Is there anything in particular making you feel stressed and anxious Pizza?

WW tonight. Gained 1/2lb boo Sad. Would have been pleased had I stayed the same. Let that be a lesson to me.

Millie2018 · 17/06/2019 21:09

Ah pizza, well done for resisting. Speaking from experience a binge will only make you feel even worse. Stay strong.
I went out for my walk, did an hour as fast as I could, but still under 4 miles.
Hoping that by being super good mon-fri I will still see a loss come Saturday morning.

lemonbalmtea · 17/06/2019 22:00

Hello everyone. 1lb loss last week but missed a gym session (is it bad I lied and ticked it on the wall chart at the gym anyway, we have a three class a week challenge?!). Figure will make it up. Three course dinner on Fri. Think the downfall was the butter sauce. Loads of sorbet. Cooked breakfast was OK (not regretting bacon). Also had skin on roast chicken.

Today I've had chia porridge, chicken and brown rice, quinoa and veg salad, cracker and cheese. I did jump around like a loon at Step Fit.

Fingers crossed for a good week everyone.

OhTheRoses · 17/06/2019 22:19

1/2 small pot of Fage and blueberries
Cottage cheese salad dsp grated cheddar for flavour
Two lime and coconut/chill chick fillets, mushroom rice, salad

2 cans diet G&T

Lookingforpizza · 17/06/2019 22:24

Thanks guys, there’s nothing to be gained from binging - well except weight I suppose haha!

@Millie2018 there’s just a few things going on at work and then some personal stuff as well, nothing really bad but for some reason it’s getting to me. I had one of those days where you just feel tearful and the slightest thing could set you off, so think I’m just on a bit of a low, but what can you do? 🤷‍♀️

Lookingforpizza · 17/06/2019 22:26

Got my tags mixed up @OhTheRoses - I am really not with it today. Maybe time to call it a night and hope tomorrow is better Grin

Millie2018 · 17/06/2019 22:30

@Lookingforpizza 💐

Howlongtillbedtime · 18/06/2019 06:17

Good morning everyone.

Signing in for a kick up my ample backside please. I have fallen off the wagon the last few days and I am gutted.
I don't want to be this overweight.
I feel better when I eat healthily and exercise.

So why do I keep eating shite ?

Today I will
Eat mushroom and lentil ragu for lunch
Chicken oven bake for dinner
Mini cheddars and fruit for a snack
Get my arse to the gym!!

Has anyone read any books that have helped switch their mindset? This is always my pattern. I am great for a couple of weeks and then it all goes wrong again.
