Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Not a great week for me. Binge Friday has taken its toll. Just in a heap of bubbles and off to Glyndebourne later for more bubbles.

peanutbutterismydownfall · 16/06/2019 11:03

I weighed in yesterday & am 10st12, exactly as I was at the beginning of this thread and, for that matter, as I was at the end of April when we had just got back from holiday. I remember when holiday weight gain used to just fall off. Not any more!
We're on holiday again in August so I really need to shift this half stone before then. Seven weeks to go so should be achievable ... but then in the last seven weeks I have lost nothing.

cricketmum84 · 16/06/2019 11:15

My weights have ducked up spectacularly. My scales were definitely on the blink, changed the batteries and they just kept flickering up random weights anything from 19 to 22 stone and then dying.

I've now got new scales but they are weighing me higher than my old ones were...

New June starting weight is 21 stone exactly going from today's weight on the new scales. I have no idea if I've lost anything or gained anything in the last 16 days although my jeans do feel a little looser.

Time to make a huge effort to get down to 7lb loss in the next 2 weeks!

Bit of a surprise on the scales this morning...after 24 weeks of dieting, I’m pleased to tell you, I’ve finally done it. I made it into the healthy BMI range 😭 (

cricketmum84 · 16/06/2019 15:02

That's amazing @Crazzzycat! I'm so proud of you! I feel a bit like a proud parent on awards day 😂

Most of my gain has been MH and medication related so I hear what you are saying. I literally cannot wait until I get to where you are. Huge huge well done ❤️❤️❤️

Well done @Crazzzycat that is so fantastic! I'm in a similar situation mh wise, but 6 kilos behind you to get to healthy BMI, so you're a real inspiration!

Howlongtillbedtime · 16/06/2019 17:34

That's amazing crazzzycat ! Well done you !! StarStar

I am nearly just overweight rather than obese and that pleases me . I will be delighted when I get to your stage Grin

cricketmum84 · 16/06/2019 21:54

Too busy eating everything in sight here.

Back on it tomorrow.

Crazzzycat · 16/06/2019 22:16

Thanks all! I don’t think I could have done it without this thread, and its many predecessors. So thank you all for your support ☺️

NightmareLoon · 16/06/2019 23:10

I've managed to lose about half a kilo, no idea how as scales were stubbornly STS all week and last night I had a boozy blowout. 🤷

Today went out for brunch with a friend and had delicious avocado toast (I get why people love it now!) which filled me up until dinner. I also biked up a steep hill several times trying different bikes!

My big thing is trying to get in 25 (or more) grams of fiber a day. It's a true challenge when you're calorie counting but it means I don't waste calories in crap! (Much)

Startoftheyear2019 · 16/06/2019 23:24

Wow @Crazzzycat that's amazing! So pleased for you 💐

lightlypoached · 17/06/2019 00:06

@Howlongtillbedtime loving the positivity

Adding my congrats to @Crazzzycat

Survived the weekend, antibiotics nearly done! Had a meal out yesterday, and went for the lighter, vegan option (which was delicious).
Meals today are;
High protein yoghurt and strawberries
Spinach and rocket salad with picked vegetables
Oven baked egg tortilla (onions and courgettes), with Greek salad.

Hope everyone's day goes well

Fluffiest · 17/06/2019 06:51

10st0 again. This is the point I keep getting to, but haven't yet dropped under it. Maybe this will be the time I crack it.

Yesterday I managed to stick to the salad and sparkling water at the pub lunch. But then couldn't be bothered to cook my roast chicken in the afternoon. But I resisted snack attacks in the evening and instead carried on stripping wallpaper - which I am counting as exercise!

So the chicken is going in the slow cooker today, and I've had a poached egg on a crumpet for breakfast. Gonna skip lunch today and snack on fruit.

Also plan on running this evening if it is not chucking it down!

Happy Monday y'all!

cricketmum84 · 17/06/2019 07:01

Happy Monday everyone and hello to ❤️ Day 17 ❤️
How did we get to day 17 already?
This month is flying past and everyone is doing so well :)
I used all my weekly points this weekend and a little extra so I have to survive on my daily points (with a small deficit each day) until Saturday 😳 that means no wine. At all.
Plan for today is:
B - 2 satsumas
L - leftover quorn pieces and mushrooms in Philadelphia sauce from yesterday (4 points per portion)
Snack - banana mid afternoon and a coconut milk latte (5 points)
D - mushroom stir fry with a teaspoon Chinese salt and pepper seasoning and quorn steak style strips (3 points)

Wishing you all a successful and happy Monday!!

Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June

Congratulations crazzzycat, that's a great achievement!
I've definitely been over my 1200 cals over the weekend but I am still working on the basis of making it a long term change rather than a time-limited diet. So we had a roast dinner yesterday, followed by cake. Normally I'd have had seconds or eaten until I was uncomfortably full just to finish my plate (that clear-your-plate upbringing is hard to shift!) but I stopped when I was full instead.
Back onto 16:8 again today, although it's usually more like 15:9.
cricketmum84 I love your quote from yesterday, I've been doing a lot of comfort manicuring (another big thing for me as I'm also trying to stop biting my nails!). It has the advantage that you can't use your hands to eat if your polish is drying! 😆

OhTheRoses · 17/06/2019 07:03

Well done crazzy.
I may have lost 100g this week Sad. Might not bother with WW tonight. Mustn't repeat Friday.

Have a good and abstemious week all.

waveygravy · 17/06/2019 07:22

Hi all, made an effort to get moving this weekend. 10,000 steps each day which is massive for me. Seems to have paid off as I'm at 75.4kg this morning, down 2.6 kilos since start of June.

B- porridge with strawberries
L- homemade bread tuna and salad sandwich
D- pasta with tomato sauce and Quorn pieces.

Have a good day everyone.

LooseAtTheSeams · 17/06/2019 08:03

Determined to be 70kg or less by the end of this week - end of last week a bit of a slide into bad habits but think I can be back on track this week!
Spent yesterday recovering from yoga!
B: lentil cakes with peanut butter.
L: lentil and roasted vegetable salad
D: vegan burgers possibly with salad.
Not very exciting but it's Monday!

Millie2018 · 17/06/2019 08:06

Well done @Crazzzycat! What an achievement!
This weekend was a bit of a disaster both food and exercise wise for me. I didn’t exactly fall back into old habits, but I did overindulge in pringles and chocolate buttons. No idea what impact that will have as I also did very little exercise.
Anyway, I’m determined to close those days off and start afresh again today.
Focusing on wheetabix and fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch and sandwiches for dinner. I’m also going to head out for a walk once DH gets in from work.
Good luck today everyone.

LeukaeLucky · 17/06/2019 08:35

Back to 60 kilos which is quite depressing
I've been well under my 1200 cal for non fasting days and managed to stick to 600 rather then 500 for the fasting days.
Ive exercised 5 days out of 7
Not sure what's going on :(
