Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

I’ve had a good day today! Started week 3 of c25k at the gym (prefer doing it outdoors but weathers bern miserable) and did a bit extra on the cross trainer. Wore my new nike running leggings and had to pull the drawstring really tight as they nearly fell down! Thought they fit but am obviously a bit smaller than I expected which is a nice surprise :)

Ofc I’m off to a beer festival tomorrow so that’s not going to be a healthy day at all!!

OhTheRoses · 14/06/2019 19:36

Ah @cricketmum84 teenagers suck. I never cracked the need to contribute to chores argument. Mine once had the audacity to tell me it was my fault for working full time and bringing them up to expect chores to be done by au-pairs and cleaners. Have just had words with the 24 year old who demanded to know where his Calvin Klein pants were without saying please!

Sun out here so drinking wine in garden.

Diet day from hell. Started well with a nectarine and 0% fage but didn't take my salad to work so had an egg and bacon sarnoe for lunch, then more coffee with a head of dept on a whinge session followed by cake and fizzy elderflower for a member of staff's leaving party. Glad they have gone. Contemplating whether I should have dinner or more wine.

Stitchosaurus · 14/06/2019 20:27

Cricket that sounds so rough, hope you had a gin and manage to enjoy your evening.

I bollocked my 7-yr-old today for whinging about having chilli for dinner because I was so hungry and jealous at the time Grin

Only a 0.2lb loss for me today...all going in the right direction though and it means I’ve lost 8lbs in total since June 3rd.

B: coffee with milk
L: cheese and crackers with sweet chilli jam
D: beef stir fry with lots of veg

Off for a lovely afternoon tea tomorrow so am slightly worried what the scales will say on Sunday but keep reminding myself that the diet can’t completely take over my life!

Millie2018 · 14/06/2019 20:36

Cricket 💐
I’ve just broken my evening rule by having pringles. They were on offer in Tesco and DH brought them. I just couldn’t resist.

lemonbalmtea · 14/06/2019 23:36

Had an odd couple of food days. Terrible nights sleep Weds which throws my appetite. Big bowl of porridge then inadvertently missed lunch despite being hungry as busy, unless a protein ball counts. Had cod and white bean stew for dinner, didn't make enough so was still hungry but too tired to do anything about it.

Porridge again today then tuna on toast and salad. Soup and cod for dinner with ridiculous amounts of butter, followed by ice cream and fruit. Feel sick from the sugar (or possibly the wine).

Staying at a hotel and can't decide whether to go for cooked breakfast (obviously important to decide at 11.30pm). I maybe will but try and keep it small, and stay off the hidden sugar. The scales were showing I've almost hit my target for this week, fingers crossed. One more gym session on Sunday.

cricketmum84 · 15/06/2019 00:54

@lemonbalmtea if I'm in a hotel with cooked breakfast I tend to just have plenty of scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes. I can't have the bacon and sausage anyway but that at least tends to keep the points down and the protein in the eggs will keep you going!

Good morning. I faced the scales this morning, and as expected I am back to my June start weight. 10st4.

The good news is that I don't have any other weddings, parties or holidays coming up to distract me for a couple of months, so efforts will begin today in earnest.

First need to do a meal plan and a food shop this morning. Going to spend the day on my feet decorating, and will do some exercise this evening.

Hope you have a better day cricket

Decormad38 · 15/06/2019 07:25

I'm now down from 10st 13 ( in April) to 10st 5. I haven't done the fast diet this time. Just stopped eating sugar and increased steps. I think this is a diet I can keep up as if I eat sugar now it tastes awful.

feedmewinenow · 15/06/2019 07:56

I'm a little bit excited...the half a stone is off and we're only half way through!!! Let's see if I can keep it that way this weekend as official weigh in day is Monday! 7 down, 43 to go! Woop woop

lightlypoached · 15/06/2019 08:28

Morning !

Yesterday was ok.
B: eggs and toast
L: sandwich and a few tortillas
D: homemade bean enchilada with homemade salsa and guacamole. Delish. Followed by 1.5 hours of dancing and 3 slimline g&ts 1350 calories in

62.1 this morning but I managed to resist the chocolate birthday cake when I got in from the pub so it could we worse.

Out today in Soho and Oxford street (buying prom suit for DS

lightlypoached · 15/06/2019 08:29

Oops.

So will have a high step count and skip lunch today.

What's everyone else got planned today ?

Vebrithien · 15/06/2019 08:50

Still full of cold, coughing up green gunk Envy (not envy)
Having banana pancakes for breakfast (as requested by DD)
Tumeric and veg soup for lunch
Dinner is a Quorn fillet, with baby potatoes and veg. May have a 10 cal jelly afterwards.

How's everyone else feeling?

BrillyPribble · 15/06/2019 09:01

Still lingering cold here too, can't shake the sniffles and cough.
Taking my DD to a forest party today, hope the rain holds off a little bit. I find it very hard to skip breakfast at weekends and really easy to do it during the week. I think I'm going to give in and make some porridge, standing around in a drizzly forest for 2 hours is going to require some sustenance.

cricketmum84 · 15/06/2019 10:52

Welcome to the weekend you lovely losers!

It's ❤️ Day 15 ❤️

DH and DD went out for fish and chips and rugby last night. Me and DS stayed in and ordered Chinese (oops) I only ate half my vegetable fried rice though, half a small pot of curry sauce and 2 cubes of tofu. He is still sticking to his vegetarian week and I've noticed a huge difference with his skin since he stopped eating meat. I don't think he is gonna stick to it full time after this week but he will have 3-4 veggie days a week.

I've put the ducking 3lbs back on a-bloody-gain. So miffed off with this 3lbs now!! It's a new week on ww app I am am going to track every single thing I eat or drink. I'm definitely over indulging somewhere. We are visiting my mum this afternoon which will definitely include a couple of glasses of wine so I'll have to stick to mainly zero point foods today. I'm making a chickpea and spinach curry for me and DS with cauliflower rice.

Here's to being good over the weekend, not too much wine and hopefully some better weather. I've attached our Saturday morning thought for the day below :)

@feedmewinenow that's an excellent result for only halfway through the month!

@BrillyPribble a forest party sounds amazing! Hope the drizzle holds off for you all!

Checking in with this week’s stats. In spite of being away all week and not being able to control my eating as much as usual plus a fair few cakes I’ve lost another 0.7 kg, bringing the total weight loss to 2.1 kg.

If anything, I think this just shows how weird weightloss can be. You can be good for weeks and lose practically nothing and less careful another week and lose loads. There is no logic to weightloss 🤷🏻‍♀️

Skinnywish1 · 15/06/2019 12:26

I had a cheeky weigh in yesterday as was feeling good and found I'd broken a st brackets I'd put on 3.5lb and am now 12st 1. Devastated is an understatement. I am visiting mum today and she has just told me I look 9 months gone. Fantastic

feedmewinenow · 15/06/2019 13:33

Thank you@cricketmum84

I'm just in Costa with my water and banana polishing my halo Halo Though it's taking every inch of willpower not to demolish one of the rainbow muffins and I'm glaring enviously at everybody!!!!

Moving into week 3 will be the real challenge as that's always when I realise this is 'life' if I want to be slimmer and healthier- at the moment I feel like I'm playing at being good!

Jeds55 · 15/06/2019 18:54

Bit of a disaster here today so far but have reigned it in now hopefully. No sweet stuff but lots of cheese, bread and crisps. Parents down tomorrow so meal out and drinks on the cards- was supposed to be good today to make up for it. Aim to go run in the morning but daughter got nasty cold so will see what my sleep is like.
Hope everyone enjoying their weekends and those poorly are feeling better

Millie2018 · 15/06/2019 20:53

I’ve had a funny day. Had a big breakfast out, but managed to resist the muffins and pastries. Then went to the cinema and had a box of popcorn. At dinner I had a really small meal, but then succumbed to the pringles again! At least they are all eaten and I’m out of the house all day tomorrow with a nutritious packed lunch, so will be back on track.

MorrisZapp · 16/06/2019 08:58

My periods have gone insane. No idea what to expect now, I'm 47 so no doubt this is the start of meno.

I'm still under 10 stone (using fag paper as measurement!) but this weeks goal is to maintain. It's my 'birthday week' which sounds tediously indulgent but due to family dynamics beyond my control, I'm going for four different lunches out!

So, damage limitation is the name of the game. I promised myself a couple of months ago that my birthday present would be my weight beginning with a 9, and I've cracked it (just).

Howlongtillbedtime · 16/06/2019 09:20

Morning all

I have had too much booze this weekend so off to the gym today and back on it.
I am not going to slash all the tyres Grin

Meal plan done for the next few days as well.
Today's plan is
Gym
Veg soup for lunch
Mulligatawny for dinner

Bit of a theme but it will help reign me in after the last couple of days.

Good luck everyone , weekends can be tough.

Fluffiest · 16/06/2019 09:23

Back to 10st1 this morning which is good. Yesterday felt like easing back in to the healthy eating. Although I did have half a lavender scone with honey. It was the last treat we'd brought back from holiday!

Sundays challenge is that we have church in the morning, then lunch out with my parents. Then we are normally too full and sleepy to do cook tea in the evening so we do nothing. Then we are starving at 8pm and order a takeaway.

Today I am going to remedy the cycle by roasting a chicken this afternoon. We can then have a small tea tonight when we get hungry and we can use the leftovers for tea tomorrow and lunches. I'm terrible for buying lunch at work instead of bringing something from home. I am hoping that this chicken will be the fabled mumsnet chicken and feed us for a week! Grin

LeukaeLucky · 16/06/2019 10:00

Good morning everyone
My body aches so no gym or maybe I should, not sure.
Sunday is tidy up day so I'll still be moving around.

lightlypoached · 16/06/2019 10:10

A full on calorie day yesterday and I'm at 62.6 today. Off out for Father's Day lunch too.

But. Just rewatched the Michael Mosely 5:2 programme. It reminded me why I started this. The intermittent fasting is so much more than weight control - anti ageing and a defence against dementia (that killed my dad) and of cancer too (my mum has bowel cancer).
It's inspired me to do it properly again. So 5:2 from tomorrow.

Sobering.

cricketmum84 · 16/06/2019 10:23

Morning everyone, it's ❤️ Day 16 ❤️

I've done a tot up of all the losses since last Sunday and my god you lot are bloody amazing!!!!

As a group we have lost a MASSIVE......

❤️ 102.95lbs ❤️ OR ❤️ 46.7kg ❤️

That means that in June so far we have lost

🔥 11 stone 7.5lbs 🔥. 🔥 73.7kg 🔥

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday, cricket was called off again this morning due to the weather so we are having a bit of a lazy morning. I don't eat much on a weekend for some reason so today looks a bit like this:

B - nothing
L - iced coconut latte
D - 2 quorn fillets in a creamy mushroom sauce (made with lightest soft cheese), large rocket salad with lots of onions and cherry tomatoes
Snacks - dried apple and banana

Just added the quote below - I intend on indulging in comfort reading today!
