Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

@Fluffiest I think I have something in my eye Wink

I've had a good day but also not a good day lol. I decided to work from home for the day as my mental health just desperately needed a day with nobody talking to me. Just peace and quiet and catching up with work admin and emails. DS went to school so the house was empty. It's been lovely, I've not had one panic moment, palpitations or funny dizzy turn which convinced me more that it's all related to anxiety rather than something physical.

On the down side I accidentally ate 2 mini feta and pepper rolls, my sandwich, a bag of nik naks (rib and saucy and they were just like I remember them) AND a bag of Maltesers. Tea will be very very small and I will be better tomorrow I promise! My IBS is already starting to play up because my stomach isn't used to me eating rubbish so it will be veggies all the way!

@cricketmum84 I’m glad you had a good day today, it sounds like you really needed that peace Flowers I hope your DS is okay too.

I’m feeling dead pleased as I ran my first distance beyond 5k today, only 5.5k but really feeling like I can do this whole running lark proper If I put my mind to it! Grin

Millie2018 · 11/06/2019 20:43

Glad you had a peaceful day Cricket.
My 2 have been little terrors today. I almost broke tonight and reached for the kids sweets, but did some work on the computer with a cup of tea and now watching tv with a banana.
It’s really hard when there’s loads of sweets in the house!
No exercise today, but will do a walk tomorrow.

didireallysaythat · 11/06/2019 20:44

1.4kg off since the beginning of the month. I'm happy.

Alas I may have blown it all today with a spa day with a good friend but my mental health needed it.

I thought this weighing everyday was slightly obsessive, but now I quite like the idea that I can monitor the damage and get back on track. Thank you all!

peanutbutterismydownfall · 11/06/2019 21:05

Snooks - that's amazing work!
Verbrithren - that's hilarious. Bet you didn't know whether to be delighted or embarrassed
Cricket & others - yes, you're right, I was like the Hungry Caterpillar. Unfortunately, I'm not going to suddenly turn into a beautiful butterfly unless I deal with this behaviour. Thank you to all of those who offered supportive messages. I will try those strategies next time & see what happens. I am in such a mindset of constantly losing and gaining the same pound or two that I can't get too het up about sabotage as I don't actually believe
I can lose weight and that my body doesn't need cake on a regular basis. Today has been much better. Porridge for breakfast, chicken fajita filling with some broccoli and noodles for lunch, breaded fish with mash and more broccoli and green beans for tea.

LeukaeLucky · 11/06/2019 21:47

@cricketmum84 " 2 mini feta and pepper rolls" that sounds delicious
Really please with myself 1st time I'm managing to stick to 500 cal
I had a rosette and gherkin sandwich from Paul bakery which was 476 calories and made it last
I was just craving bread and that did the trick
Hoping for another good one tomorrow

LeukaeLucky · 11/06/2019 21:48

*Pleased obv

cricketmum84 · 11/06/2019 21:54

@peanutbutterismydownfall it was my turn to be the hungry caterpillar today 😂

@LeukaeLucky they were lovely warmed up. I got them from Aldi x

Cricket - I did think that! Yours sounded more wholesome than mine though - it actually contained a vegetable.

Cheeky mid week weigh in here and I have gained the pound that I lost last week. Not a surprise given Monday but I want to shift it by Saturday plus a bit more as otherwise my net loss for mid way through the month will be a 0

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 07:16

Good morning
59.3 today. That's a 2.5kg loss since the 2nd of June YAY
Planning on going to the gym today
Hoping to be in the 58 by Sunday

cricketmum84 · 12/06/2019 07:17

Morning my lovelies and hello to

❤️ Day 12 ❤️

Fingers crossed for a better food day for me today! Better choices and avoiding the chocolate!

For those of us who had a bad food day yesterday let's get back on it today and smash the rest of the week.

Think about it like this - if you were bought 7 beautiful red roses and 1 of them died, would you throw away the whole bunch? Or would you throw the one dead rose and carefully look after the rest? It's the same with dieting, one bad day shouldn't ruin our entire week.

Anyway my day looks a bit like this
B 2 satsumas and almond milk latte
L tiger roll with low fat vegan cream cheese and rocket and cherry tomatoes
D marinated baked tofu and rice

Have a lovely day everyone!

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 07:22

@peanutbutterismydownfall good luck

What helped me this week is buying loads of gorgeous and very sugary fruits (nectarines, grapes, pre cut watermelon, pink lady apples) and I've been snacking on those everytime I had cravings (I'm a sweet tooth)
I haven't had a single chocolate bar so far and I normally have to eat chocolate every day
You could have the apple with peanut butter for instance
If you're more savoury, get some turkey ham and mini babybel light
You can do this x
Good luck

Vebrithien · 12/06/2019 07:23

Morning all, have to say, it's been so useful to read everyone's journeys. Here's hoping that today goes well!

Trousers of shame/delight aside, yesterday was a good day. I had one biscuit and stopped. It tasted amazing!

I weigh in on a Wednesday, as it's my day off. This morning's weight in was at 104.1kg, which puts me at 1.1kg lost in the last 7 days, and a total of 2.6kg since the start of June. In total, have lost 6.9kg since the middle of April.

I'm happy with this. Have worked out that it I could keep to around 1kg loss a week, then I would break the important 100kg barrier by the end of term. Something to keep reminding myself when the chocolate (or roast potatoes!) keep calling.

Today's food;
Granola and milk
Egg and avocado on toast
Bean chilli and brown rice
Black coffees

This leaves enough calories left over to have a scoop of low calorie salted caramel ice cream with a 20 cal meringue, whilst watching Bake Off: The Professionals tonight can you tell I'm looking forward to it

Have a good day all, sorry about the length of the post!

BrillyPribble · 12/06/2019 07:26

I'm (mostly) back in the land of the living today, hurray! Have weighed in although I haven't stuck to it AT ALL over the last week and in fact have existed on toast and biscuits while I've been ill. I'm down 3/4 of a pound from last week though, 14 1 1/4. Would really love to get down below 14 stone in the next week.

waveygravy · 12/06/2019 07:36

Down 1.7kg in just over a week, daring to believe I'm on track for 3kg off in June. As someone else said earlier this thread is helping me stay steady, looking at average weekly calories and not panicking after a bad day. Thanks everyone.

B. Porridge with strawberries
L. Coriander rice, kidney beans, coleslaw
D. Baked herb crust haddock, new pots, asparagus. Should be 1200 with fruit and nuts as snacks.

Have a good day everyone.

LooseAtTheSeams · 12/06/2019 07:59

wavey that does sound good!
I think yesterday went pretty well but more carbs than usual so will try and adjust that today and tomorrow. Very happy with around 1kg lost so far in June and actually at lowest weight for years so really don't want to fall off the wagon now!
Definitely agree that one slip does not mean it's all over!

Riddlediddle · 12/06/2019 08:01

Didn't think I would fall into the habit of daily weigh in's but I find myself on the scales every morning now. Good news today I've dropped another 1lb. I've only been doing this for just over a week and have already lost 5lb but the main thing is how much better I feel from doing just 20mins exercise a night. I feel more energised and literally all the bloating I previously had on my stomach has just gone. Let's all keep up the good work ladies - we can do this!

Howlongtillbedtime · 12/06/2019 08:23

Morning all

I had a good day yesterday and my plan is to have another one today.
I am sticking with skipping breakfast which is working for me. I would much rather save the cals for when I get home from work .
Today is
Veggie bolognese with some grated cheese for lunch
Falafels with pitta and salad for dinner
Snacks of mini cheddars and fruit.
The red Leicester mini cheddars are soooooo tasty by the way Grin

If I manage the gym as well I will be delighted .

Good luck to everyone today.

DirtyDennis · 12/06/2019 08:38

Went swimming this morning for the first time in a while. It was hard work but I managed 20 minutes. It's a mile walk there and back so that's additional calories off as well.

Every day this week I'll be walking at least two miles so that's all good news.

Today DP told me that my arms look like I've lost some timber and they're looking very toned (I'm weight lifting three times per week) so that made me very happy.

Food today:
B: Cornflakes (100 cal)
L: Not sure yet but no more than 500 cal
D: Vegan sausages, parmentier potatoes and greens (700 max, I don't really like the spuds so I'll probably only eat half of them)
Snacks: Biscuits to the tune of 200 cal.

Today's a bit of a high cal day but I should be able to make it up elsewhere.

LooseAtTheSeams · 12/06/2019 09:04

I'm so impressed by all the exercise. I'm nearly recovered from tendonitis and get a good walk to the station and back every day but my plan is to go back to yoga on Saturday and gently try the treadmill at the gym on Sunday.

Stitchosaurus · 12/06/2019 09:05

O.6lb off today - hit my first mini target of getting under 12 stone, yay!

B: coffee with milk
L: tandoori chicken
D: bean burger with lime yoghurt and salsa, and sweet potato wedges
S: flapjack, pineapple, and carrots and salsa

Love the rose analogy @cricketmum84 - I’ve got a few meals out coming up which is actually stressing me out (daft I know) so I definitely need to remember this as I’m sure the scales will go up a little on those days.

Ashleighc01 · 12/06/2019 09:14

I joined slimming world following the birth of my baby. (Now 5 months).

I lost a stone in 4 weeks and was 5lb from my target weight.

Haven't been for 3 weeks and have been eating crap so guess I've put a few lb back on...

Need to get back into it! Feels so nice being comfortable in your clothes again. Let's do it ladies xxxx

ImpossibleNovelty · 12/06/2019 11:57

I slipped face first into a large portion of fish and chips last night Blush But back on it today with the excellent bunch of roses analogy Flowers - time to rescue the remaining stems of this week.
B: veggie breakfast minus toast and hash browns (weeping at the latter)
D: salmon and cauliflower cheese.
I think the scales where we’re staying are rather optimistic but I’m taking them. So a 2lb lost so far this month Grin

Lookingforpizza · 12/06/2019 12:27

It’s so feckin cold, dragging myself out for my lunch time walk because at this point it can’t be any colder outside than it is in our office today. Really makes me crave a warm lunch but salad it is, luckily having a hot curry tonight so that will do the trick!

Today’s food:
B: Latte (forgot my sodding Alpen portion)
L: Chicken salad
D: Home made spinach, mushroom and chickpea madras curry with a small sweet potato
Snacks: babybel light, maltesers, hot choc and possibly a banana if I get hungry later this afternoon.

That sees me at around 1150 - 1250 for the day!

lightlypoached · 12/06/2019 12:56

Am so impressed by all of you meeting mini-goals and almost reaching 3kg already this month!

Still ill today but doing sporadic work to keep it under control.

yesterday: 1100 calories and managed a gentle yoga class last night but am wiped out this morning. was supposed to be at a full-on all day event for work but just too poorly and no voice - so stayed at home.

B: scrambled egg with 2 pieces of squashy white bread and butter. I struggled to finish it.
L: will probably skip it and sleep this afternoon instead
D: baked spuds and salad.

weigh-in tomorrow so let's see whether there is progress or not.
