Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Last day off my city trip today. I’ve been doing 16:8 in an attempt to keep the calories down.

Still, it’s amazing how many pieces of cake I’ve managed to polish off in an 8 hour eating window 😂

I’m doing ok on the exercise though. 20k + steps every day, which should go a little towards offsetting all that cake. I’ll see what the damage is like tomorrow...

I've lost 2kg so far this month, yay!

Trouble is, it's the 2kg I gained on holiday last week so still no net loss, boo!

Wellthatwastricky · 12/06/2019 15:06

Awesome work everyone.

Yesterday all good from a calorie point of view. However, I'm still really not well, just starting antibiotics for throat infection. It's sapped all my energy and motivation to put the effort into homemade food.

Would welcome any recommendations for easy but healthy (or hearty in a good way) comfort food or ready meal that I can turn to over the next two or three days until hopefully the antibiotics make a difference. Anything but soup (because that's my lunch) and omelettes as I don't like them! I'm really hankering after beige food, trying to exercise will power!

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 18:19

I like having a wrap bread in a pan with a bit of olive oil and mozzarella (I use half a light mozzarella ball)
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, fold in half and cook until melted/ golden on both side
To be served with a side salad
Litteraly takes 5 min @Wellthatwastricky

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 18:23

Food was good for me today (so far)
Bf: nectarine
Lunch: steak with side salad and slice of bread
Dinner: probably fruits watermelon, nectarine, grapes
Dreading tomorrow, food wise as I have a long day involving going to Central London for my hospital appointment and meeting with my boss to discuss returning to work after long term sickness 😭

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 19:54

I've seen a lot of people mentioning maltesers for snack. Is it the go to for low calories chocolate cravings?

Lookingforpizza · 12/06/2019 20:38

@leukae I tend to have them as my chocolate fix, they’re 187 calories per pack and satisfy my cravings! Most chocolate bars tend to be 250+ calories

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 20:43

@Lookingforpizza thanks. Always good to know and they are so delicious just hard to stop at one I suppose 😂

StellarLunar · 12/06/2019 20:44

I've been lurking but I now have something I can add! I've been low carb, high protein, high fat since Mon last. Stuck with it pretty well. I've lost 1kg so down from 61kg to 60kg. I'll keep it up for a while

Crazzzycat · 12/06/2019 20:44

@LeukaeLucky I think it totally depends on what kind of chocolate-hit you like.

Sugary milk chocolate just makes me want to eat more, so I prefer a single square of dark chocolate, or a chocolate covered rice cake for my chocolate hit.

It all comes down to personal taste Smile

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 20:49

@Crazzzycat dark chocolate doesn't make me happy anymore (used to love it but stopped eating, I guess I need to retrain my tastebuds)
I forgot about chocolate ricecake they are super yum. It will be on my next shopping list
Thanks

Lookingforpizza · 12/06/2019 21:04

@Crazzzycat @leukaelucky oh yes I forgot all about chocolate rice cakes! Sainsbury’s do lovely dark chocolate ones which I used to have as a afternoon snack at work. I think M&S do the multi packs so might pick some up.

BrillyPribble · 12/06/2019 21:05

I like popcorn for a snack. I get bags from Lidl of sweet+salty popcorn and it's 120 cals. I also get a graze box every week, one pack is usually between 120-180 cals or so and there's a massive range to choose from.

Riddlediddle · 12/06/2019 21:19

Reading through all of your posts I seem to be eating loads more than you but I'm still under the 1200 calories on myfitnesspal. For example today I had the following:
B = Porridge with skimmed milk
L = Veg cous cous with 2 boiled eggs and a bag of salt and vinegar snack a jacks
D = Chicken and wholewheat pasta in a tomato sauce with spinach and a strawberry yoghurt
Snacks = orange and go ahead bars
Literally written down looks more than double what most of you seem to be eating Confused

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 21:19

@Lookingforpizza I'm near a sainsbury tomorrow will check those out
Thanks @BrillyPribble I love popcorn but never think of buying some at home. 120 cal is really good too! Those graze boxes are the nuts thing isn't it?

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 21:23

@Riddlediddle what you do is perfect. We're all on different diets. For instance I do the 5:2 16/8. So I have 2 days on 500 cal which is not much and I can only eat during 8 hours of the day. On those days I can eat up to 1400 cal but hardly manage to reach 1200.
Well done x

DeadButDelicious · 12/06/2019 21:33

Evening all!

I have these little smart price chocolate mousse things as a chocolatey snack, 45p for 6, 80 calories per pot. Lunchbox sized malt loafs are a favourite as well, they are 95 calories. I've put some peanut protein cereal bar things on the shopping this week, 120 cals.

Veggie week is going well, I was vegetarian for several years and fell off the wagon, so it's not an entirely new experience for me. I'm not entirely certain if I'm going to get back on it full time, I might do or at least the vast majority of the time but I'm very interested in seeing how it effects the scales.

BrillyPribble · 12/06/2019 22:07

leukaeLucky graze do nuts but they also have flapjacks, fruity boxes, seedy ones, cakes and teabags 😆
You can get a absolutely huge variety. There's a nice one I get which is almonds, teeny macarons and white chocolate buttons. Mostly I get spicy seed/bean type ones (roasted chickpeas are amazing!). You can set filters on the types of things you want, so low-cal ones or high protein etc etc. I set it up so long ago I've no idea what mine is set to to be honest!

LeukaeLucky · 12/06/2019 22:17

Thanks will look it up @BrillyPribble sounds nice and I'm definitely a nibbler

OhTheRoses · 12/06/2019 22:22

Hello. Lovely analogy about the roses cricketmum.

Will weigh tomorrow. Been under or on points all week though I caved and had a glass of pink last night.

Today
B: 2 hardboiled eggs with a dsp Hellman's light
L: salad with cottage cheese and dsp cheddar
D: two chicken thighs, 1 tablespoon cous cous, salad.
Snack: Gin & diet tonic (1 can).

OhTheRoses · 13/06/2019 06:18

Weigh in was 12.13. Breaking the 13s now.

Also had pasta for dinner Monday and Tuesday. I find I can live on 5 ww points all day but I do appreciate a decent dinner and a g&t. Today:

B: 2 hardboiled with a dsp skinny mayo
L: Cottage cheese salad
D: sea bass and veg

Will try not to have a gin tonight.

My challenge is fitting in exercise during the week. I drive to work and usually pull a 10/11 hr day and then eating late. Aiming hard to be a slender swan rather than a hippo on acid. Grin.

Hope everyone's ready to fight another day and feel those seams moving further away or at least not digging in. >>my bras aren't tight now

cricketmum84 · 13/06/2019 06:21

Good morning all and welcome to

❤️ Day 13 ❤️

I was woken up in the early hours by the most awful neck and shoulder pain and shooting pains down my arm. Obviously that made me panic so I'm dosed up on painkillers and trying to take my mind off it!!

I stuck within points yesterday with no extra snacks apart from some home made vegan ice cream (which was actually really high in points!!)

Feeling a little disheartened today as I've just lost and gained the same 3lbs repeatedly for about 2 weeks now. I really do need to get in the gym and start exercising, this mum yum really needs to be smaller by the time we go on holiday next month. I'm following the quote below to give me a bit of a boost. I've lost almost 5 stone in 6 months so whenever I feel a bit down about the huge target I've set myself I need to remember where I could be in 6 months!

Plan for today is:

B - coffee made with coconut milk and a banana and a satsuma
L - small bread roll with vegan soft cheese and rocket
D - low fat creamy mushroom pasta with salad

Hope all those who have been feeling ill have a better day today.

Love to all ❤️❤️

Thanks for the quote this morning cricket it can be good to look at the wood, and not concentrate on the individual trees! Hope the pain is better/more manageable soon.

Have a very dull day today, invigilating mock exams. I just know that because I'll be bored, I'll feel soooo hungry. But, at least I can't eat anything whilst I'm in the exam hall.

Food plans for today;
Pesto scrambled eggs
Mango, avocado and rocket salad
Vegetarian meat balls and wholemeal spaghetti

Again, leaves room for a piece of chocolate later, if wanted.

Have a good day all!
