cricketmum84 · 31/05/2019 12:34

Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Ah it was all going so well. Just got parked up at work and I'm stressing. He's refused to get up for school this morning so I've had to leave him at home alone. And my bottle of juice has leaked all over my low point lunch so I'm going to have to pick something up at lunchtime.

Hope ypur day improves cricketmum

Skinnywish1 · 10/06/2019 08:59

No gain or loss for me today. Stuck at 11st 12lb. Another week = another attempt. Hope you all have a fabulous day

chanderl · 10/06/2019 09:02

Joining 10 days late! But I'm here.

No bread, no alcohol and more fruit and vegetables!

TheHoundsofLove · 10/06/2019 09:31

Oh dear cricket - I hope your day improves too.
I'm going to give 16:8 a try. I have been doing 5:2, which I really like but find hard to fit in with increased exercise. I think that 16:8 and smaller portions may be the way forward for me...

QRCode · 10/06/2019 09:59

Hi all, still playing catch up here. No loss for me in June yet but have lost 2lbs of holiday weight increase, so heading in the right direction.

Well done to those losing and good wishes to those trying to raise teens - I have been there.

Hotpinkparade · 10/06/2019 10:12

Hi all! Bit late but I lost 2.8 kilos in May, started June at 77.3 kilos and have lost 0.8 kilos so far. 4.5 kilos to go til I reach goal weight! I'm eating 1450 calories a day and exercising (Jillian Michaels) roughly every other day... Might drop my calorie limit slightly if things start to slow. Good luck everyone!

Fluffiest · 10/06/2019 10:24

Congrats morris, that's wonderful!

Sorry, you're having a difficult start to the day, Cricket, thank you for running this thread so marvelously. It's making a real difference for me.

I'm back at 10st2 this morning. I'm struggling to control my food intake on this group holiday. Lots of booze and goddies about and I don't want to be rude and not eat what other people have cooked for me.

But I did go for a run yesterday. So trying to keep the good habits going. I've skipped breakfast this morning. I'm hoping for an outing today where I can move around a lot!

Vebrithien · 10/06/2019 10:46

So, following a MMC in April, I've gone from 111kg to 105 kg, by reducing carbs, carrying on with no alcohol and trying to limit snacks/chocolate. Still a long way to go, but wanted something positive to come out from the miscarriage.
Ultimately, I'd like to be a size 14, but not sure of the weight off to achieve this. Have gone from a 22 to a 18/20 already.
Got a sunny holiday planned for the end of August, and would like to be in the region of 90-95kg by then.
Today's food is/will be:
Tarragon and chive eggs
Spinach and red pepper salad with hummus
Quorn fillet in a English muffin with tomato and onion salad.
Several fruit teas
2 black coffees.

Skinnywish1 · 10/06/2019 10:51

No loss no gain. 11st 12 lb still. Here's to another week

Lookingforpizza · 10/06/2019 11:06

Morning all!

I’m in such a rubbish mood today, no idea why. Didn’t help that DP had found some pictures taken at the park run and I look blobby and hideous. Obviously no one looks fab running, but it’s just a reminder of how far I have to go. I’m not really with it today, I’ve completely forgotten to have my breakfast as well Confused

Today’s food:
Lunch: Turkey salad and a mini babybel
Dinner: Salmon with brown rice and sweet chilli sauce
Snacks: Maltesers and a low cal hot chocolate.

It feels a bit late to have breakfast now so calories today will be around 950. Not doing loads of exercise and need a good deficit as I ate a lot yesterday (worth it). Hoping to get down to 78kg this week!

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week :)

lightlypoached · 10/06/2019 15:01

morning! or should I say afternoon?
@cricketmum84 I hope your day got better.

Re-weighed myself and I'm 62.1 so lost 0.9 kilo overnight. I may also have lost a bit more since then as I 'unloaded' some more weight this morning after 3 days of constipation (TMI, sorry Blush). Well we do talk about water retention, but no one ever talks about poo retention..... i mean how much does poo weigh? A lot, I hope Grin .

BrillyPribble · 10/06/2019 15:47

Lordy I feel rough. Horrible virus courtesy of DH. My head feels like it's being squeezed in a vice and my back/lungs ache whenever I cough. I've stayed in bed and eaten nothing but toast so far today. Hope things improve tomorrow

Stitchosaurus · 10/06/2019 17:42

0.4lbs off this morning

B: coffee with milk
L: chicken caesar salad
D: chicken lettuce cups
S: mango, cup of tea and flapjack

cricket I hope your day was good in the end.
Hope everyone who is feeling down/ill feels better soon.

Crazzzycat · 10/06/2019 18:28

LookingForPizza every time I look in the mirror after exercising, I consider giving up! Like you say, few people actually look good during, or shortly after exercise

But I totally understand how demoralising it can be to realise that you still have some way to go. I’ve been there (many times!) and all you can really do is just keep going Smile

cricketmum84 · 10/06/2019 18:45

@OhTheRoses it's such a trial. I'm constantly running on high alert thinking I'm going to have a panic attack or faint. I get these waves of panic that just wash over me and come out of nowhere. Must have had 10 today. I'm sick of it.

I ended up caving and getting a vegan roll from Greggs. 13 bloody ww points and it gave me the worst acid indigestion ever!! Please someone remind me of how awful I felt next time I'm tempted!

@Vebrithien you are more than welcome :) I'm so sorry about the MMC. You are taking some awesome positive steps, we are all with you x

@ilovetrees30 lovely to see you back. There's a few of us here who are struggling with MH and you are always welcome to post, join in or PM me if you want a chat

@Startoftheyear2019 thank you ❤️

@LeukaeLucky god they really put us through it don't they!!

@MorrisZapp excellent work!! I cannot wait until I feel the way you do :) also cheekbones 💪

@Fluffiest hope you are having a lovely holiday (despite the Yorkshire weather!)

@Lookingforpizza but you ran!!! Imagine how you would have felt looking at those photos at your starting weight, you are doing amazing!

@BrillyPribble sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. Really hope you start to feel better soon

@lightlypoached did you find out????

OhTheRoses · 10/06/2019 19:10

WW weigh in 12.12. 13lb since 15 April. Pleased with that Smile

Jeds55 · 10/06/2019 19:36

@lightlypoached is it wrong that I want to know?! Grin
Weigh in this morning put me at 10 st 11.4 - think that's roughly 2lbs off but cant remember where I wrote my weight down. Think I also weighed in the PM originally and today was first thing in AM (well after wee of course) semi pleased but will track it properly from now.
So hungry today!! Well done and good luck all

Lookingforpizza · 10/06/2019 19:47

Thanks *@cricket and @cricket*mum84 I know you’re both right, and it just needs to be a motivator to keep up the hard work.

I’m sorry you’re having a rough time @cricket - you have all of us on the thread to rant to. I hope things get better soon Flowers

Saladforsantorini · 10/06/2019 19:53

I’ve been off work sick today, seem to have trapped multiple nerves in my neck and my glands have made an appearance as absolute golf balls! Despite this and not having an appetite I’ve eaten well (didn’t want to not eat as I’ve heard this can be counter productive to progress??)
B - protein yoghurt
L - half an avo, mashed on a multigrain bagel
Snack - DP bought me a fresh brownie from the bakery (oops)
Dinner - chicken breast fried in fry light, wholewheat pasta and green pesto.

All in all about 1,500 cals due to the brownie. No exercise today obvs. Not going to weight myself until Sunday so I have chance to get back on track.

Happy Monday everyone, so good to see everyone is doing well!

feedmewinenow · 10/06/2019 19:56

Breaking my cover again to check in with a 3lb loss. Looking to lose 50-60 in total so it's a baby step.

Obsessively logging on MFP and managed the gym three times this week! It's not pretty and I'm cross with myself that I've got so unfit but trying desperately to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race. But my God I wish I was back in my twenties when I seemed like I only had to be good for two days and could lose half a stone!

Crazzzycat · 10/06/2019 20:44

Sorry to hear so many of us are struggling with mental and physical health problems today.

cricketmum I really hope things calm down a bit for you soon. Anxiety is such a bitch to deal with. I have no advice, but unfortunately know exactly how you feel 😔

I’m on the second day of my city break and, in spite of my best intentions, am not doing very well when it comes to sticking to the plan. Under normal circumstances I’d just leave it, but I’m going to be away so much this month that I fear I might end up gaining if I continue like this.

Anyone has any advice for how to manage a diet when away from home?

cricketmum84 · 10/06/2019 21:25

Thanks @Crazzzycat I have to try very very hard not to give in and run away. My hoping is that the more days I get through at work the more my brain will calm and realise I'm not going to die (sounds mad I know).

For eating well when eating out - look up calorie values on the menu or online if they aren't on the menu. Small things like swapping an unhealthy side for salad or swapping chips for jacket potato. Alternate alcoholic drinks with water or slimline tonic or Diet Coke. If you are drinking wine ask for a glass of soda water with it and dilute it.

OP posts:
QRCode · 11/06/2019 06:22

@crazzzycat I skip either breakfast or lunch when away, usually lunch if I'm on a B&B basis. That can be difficult if you have DC with you, but it works for DH and I.

Down another 700g of holiday weight this morning, so now only 700g to go to get back to my lowest before I went away. Working from home today so I'm doing so in my pyjamas ready to hit the gym later.

@feedmewinenow 3lbs is great, small steps, as you say. My gym is about 50/50 people working out and people posing!

LeukaeLucky · 11/06/2019 07:02

Good morning
I'm just under 60 kilos (59.9) after 2 days of great discipline and exercise. Hoping to manage my fasting day today I. E 500 cal.
Have a good day x
