Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Well this week has been an abject failure. Blush

I've been really down the past couple of weeks but this week my MH has taken a real nose dive. This time of year is always rough. I'm just not in a very good place and I'm falling back on old coping mechanisms which is essentially 'eat all the things'.

I'm determined to not undo all my good work though. We'll see what the scales say in the morning. Hopefully it's not too bad.

lightlypoached · 09/06/2019 19:55

Weighed myself earlier and I'm heavier than when I started. 😂

Hard yoga class to start the day then 2.5 hours of gardening. Skipped lunch so just over 1k calories today.
No more wine until Friday.

Let's see what this week brings Smile

Keep going everyone 🚀

Millie2018 · 09/06/2019 21:30

Spurred on by my 2kg loss, I went for a 9 mile walk today and then had smoked salmon, one poached egg and a massive portion of steamed spinach for lunch. Going for a swim tomorrow night. Hopeful for another loss this week.

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 21:39

Totally not diet related but I just wanted to share this if it's ok?

My son had sat downstairs with us during the day and evening for the last 3 days, he's asked if he can do a veggie week this week to support me being vegetarian and had actually JUST LET ME HUG HIM!! (First time in about 2 years).

Pleeeeeease keep your fingers crossed we are entering a better stage with him!

I am sooooo hungry. I had porridge with a spoonful of plain yogurt for breakfast, salad with avocado & salmon for lunch, roast for supper (masses of veg, one potato & half a Yorkshire pudding), a square of ginger cake & a Jaffa cake today. I am now about to have a bath and then go to bed just to put more distance between me & the kitchen!
This week's plans are:

  • no alcohol other than one G&T at a work thing on Weds
  • increase my veg intake
  • no sugar all week Really think I'm going to struggle with the last one.
ImpossibleNovelty · 09/06/2019 21:48

Fantastic update cricketmum. Really glad things are looking brighter. The veggie week offer is really sweet too Smile

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 21:49

@peanutbutterismydownfall what sugar do you have normally? Could we think up some alternatives maybe? I think my diet is very low sugar naturally as I don't have tea or coffee except for the occasional costa latte but don't add sugar to it.

Well I haven't had the greatest week but ive decided I am now not weighing myself all week. 1.75lb down so far this month.
I have to say you are all doing so well. Even if you haven't lost everyone
is making great lifestyle changes that surely must make a difference to health.
cricket that was so lovely to read. Fingers crossed it is a step forward

Wellthatwastricky · 09/06/2019 21:55

Cricket, thanks for totting up the losses that's fab. Also, so lovely to hear about your son - I really hope this is the start of a happier time for you all Star

Deadbutdelicious, I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time. As Crazzzy said, be kind to yourself.

This weekend has been appalling, I'm STILL not well, will probably join the hoards in an unsuccessful bun fight for a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. This weekend I've had pizza, chicken wings, Fish and chips and those gooey big cookies from the supermarket (a depressing 360 calories for just one blasted cookie). Went over by about 200 cals today. Hopefully pull it back tomorrow but can't see me being well enough for my evening class.

Here's to a new week!

ImpossibleNovelty · 09/06/2019 21:57

DeadButDelicious sorry that things have been hard going MH wise this week. It can be so tough to keep on with the healthy eating when things feel crappy elsewhere.

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 22:02

@DeadButDelicious oh hun, I am so with you and holding your hand. MH is a bitch. The last couple of years have been impossible at times for me so please believe me when I say I know exactly how you feel.

Where are you in terms of GP, doctor. Medication etc? Xxx

Deadbutdelicious Flowers

So thrilled hear you got a little boost from DS. Glitterball

Well with my clothes on I was >>>whispers

TheHoundsofLove · 10/06/2019 06:10

Deadbutdelicious Definitely be kind to yourself. Trying to lose weight is so hard if you're not feeling tip top isn't it?! I would just try to concentrate on healthy eating and not worry too much about whether you've lost anything.
cricket I'm glad that things sound like they're improving for you and your son!

cricketmum84 · 10/06/2019 06:36

Good morning all!

It's ❤️ Day 10 ❤️ and the start of a fresh new week! Don't forget to smash it!

Today looks a bit like this:
B banana and lots of water
L falafel, hoummous and spinach wrap
D leftover roasted veg from yesterday

That should leave enough points for a cheeky glass of wine and 2 chocolates as a treat.

MH is playing up a little and I'm feeling anxious about going back to work after a few days off. I need to put my amazing payroll manager hat on rather than my quivering wreck hat.... best put my face in and get sorted for the day ahead!

Wishing us all a happy and productive day!!

Morning all
I really need to come up with a plan to get me through weekends better. I had a great week but once I get to the weekend it all goes a bit shite .
Back to it today , will get to the gym after work which should help.
cricket everything is crossed that this is the start of better things. Sitting with you makes all the difference and a hug is always marvellous.
My day today will be
Soup and toast for lunch
Dinner is either a veggie bolognese or jacket pot depending on how lazy I feel.
Mini cheddars and fruit will be my snack.
No booze!!
Good luck everyone.

OhTheRoses · 10/06/2019 07:09

cricket I'm sure work will be fine. The first foot over the threshold is the worst. Strong coffee, squirt of perfume, slick of fresh lippy. Once you are at your desk and into the day I find my worries fade away as I get submerged. I've always found work helps and it was a great escape when dd was ill.

Vebrithien · 10/06/2019 07:09

Morning all, have lurked for a bit, but wonder if you mind me joining in properly? I can play nicely...

OhTheRoses · 10/06/2019 07:13

Oh 12.13. 1/2lb down since last Monday. 3lb since last ww meeting 3 weeks ago. 12lb total. Sloooooooooow!

The good thing though is that my early morning weigh is usually heavier than pre lunch and matches 7pm ww weight later. Goodness am getting anal about this.

Must dash running late and traffic will be bad due to rain.

ilovetrees30 · 10/06/2019 07:18

Sorry I have been MIA this week. Life has been hectic and I have been struggling a bit with my mental health. But I managed another 2lb loss this last week so thats good. Lets hope this manic week allows for another loss.

waveygravy · 10/06/2019 07:26

Good Monday morning! I've lost 1.3kg. Despite birthday dinner on Saturday where my daughter ate my noodle soup bowl while I drunkenly scoffed her double-cooked chips with mayo.

@Deadbutdelicious I really feel for you, most of my weight gain is due to my wobbly mental health. I find I can only manage calorie counting when I'm well and try to be understanding with myself the rest of the time.

Startoftheyear2019 · 10/06/2019 07:32

Go for it @cricketmum84, you've already been pretty amazing keeping this thread going. Hope everyone has a good day and don't let the rain divert us from our goals!

LeukaeLucky · 10/06/2019 07:59

Good morning everyone
Had a super healthy day yesterday so very happy but doesn't translate on the scale (gained a 100 gr)
I'm hoping for an equally good day today
Good luck and yay OP
Teens are hard my dd walked out yesterday saying how I ruined her life and how she hated me because I took her phone away. Only returned past midnight... Anyway good day

MorrisZapp · 10/06/2019 08:25

I'm down two more lbs and my weight now begins with a 9!!!

Im over the fecking moon. Gave three large bags of baggy clothes to the charity shop. Have cheekbones for the first time in my life.

My current fave lunch is a Pret acai Berry and almond butter pot, it's glorious. Still having soup for tea every night and doing loads of walking.

This has genuinely been the most rewarding experience of my life. I'm not seeing losses every week, but over the months I'm going down.

Only slight hitch is saying goodbye to some of my fave tshirts.... sniff!

LooseAtTheSeams · 10/06/2019 08:28

Despite too much wine Friday night, I'm down from 72kg to 71.2kg - would be thrilled if I get to 70 kg by this time next week.
