Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

@OhTheRoses they do diet gin? ShockSmile😂😋

Mum7777 · 09/06/2019 07:08

Well eating anything in sight the last few days definitely isn't the way to go. Being ill doesn't help. I need to get my head in it again and lose the few pounds I've put on and get back on track.

Congrats to all that are doing well and losing weight.

Riddlediddle · 09/06/2019 08:05

Just weighed myself and since Tuesday I've lost 3lb (was 10st 11lb and now 10st 8lb) which seems like a lot given that myfitnesspal is set to a 1.5lb a week loss so I don't think that is all down to dieting and exercise and is more likely related to women's cycles of retaining water at certain times of the month. Oh well I'll take it anyway!
I'm meeting a friend at wetherspoons for lunch today so have already researched the menu and planned to have the jacket with 5 bean chilli which seems to be one of the lowest calorie options available!
Keep going ladies we can do this! X

Bookishandblondish · 09/06/2019 08:19

Failed miserably - was good for the first half but have realised that bread is like crack cocaine and pigged out yesterday. And pulled a muscle in my calf last weekend so no exercise.

Jeds55 · 09/06/2019 08:20

My usual Saturday blowout yesterday Hmm only 1 large wine and a diet g&t so better than my usual couple pints of beer.
Trying to limit the damage and get back on it today with a run first thing. Must resist the urge to blowout today... Weigh in tomorrow
Have a good day all

Fluffiest · 09/06/2019 08:21

Good morning! Due to wedding and travelling I've had a couple of less focused days. But I have still tried to eat smaller portions when I can and I was on my feet dancing nearly all of Friday night, so I am really pleased to have maintained at 10st.

Now I am getting on it to see that magic number 9 on the scales! Planning on going to the beach today and I'm going to try keep moving as much as possible.

For those who are feeling despondent, I've been there! What helps me is to stay focused on 'what will make this better from where I am now', let go of all the should haves and reset yourself to own this day.

Come on week 2!

DirtyDennis · 09/06/2019 08:36

Today's food:

B: Cornflakes (110 cal)
L: Something from the freezer in a wrap (probably about 400 cal)
D: Vegetable one-pot (400 cal)
Snacks: Biscuits (300 cal)

I walked the dog for about a mile today but was at quite a slow pace so not sure how beneficial that was.

LeukaeLucky · 09/06/2019 09:12

Good morning
Planning on going to a step class and try to be good today. Failed miserably at sticking to 500 cal yesterday.
I find it so challenging
Anyway have a successful day people

BrillyPribble · 09/06/2019 09:14

Urgh, had terrible couple of days. DH been really knocked off his feet with a horrible virus so have been doing all the running around with kids etc. Combined with period arriving (im Peri-menopausal so only happens every 4-6 months and never know when), massively busy time at work plus today I'm coming down with same illness myself. I'll get back into it when I've got some more headspace!

Lookingforpizza · 09/06/2019 09:33

Morning all!

To anyone who feels like they’re struggling or having some bad days, try not to let that defeat you - it really does get a lot easier, and we all have bad days here and there!

I’m being taken out for a big boozy lunch so I’m going to try not to take the piss, will limit alcohol (although the people I am lunching with are pushers!) and will limit myself to two courses as well. Then will have a light salad for tea to tide me over.

I’ll probably go for an easy run in the evening once my lunch has settled, I’ve got a new fitness watch which I’m really enjoying using for running- I don’t know who I am anymore Grin

Stitchosaurus · 09/06/2019 09:41

I did a Jillian Michaels workout this morning (extreme shed and shred) so am feeling virtuous Grin

A loss of 0.6lb this morning - I weigh every day which I know isn’t for everyone, but it helps keep me going. Going to take measurements today too as that’s often a better way of tracking loss.

I’ve got all my food for the day planned in MFP already, find that really helps me because then I know I can’t have anything else without going over.
B: coffee with milk
L: pork chop with green beans and apple sauce
D: slice of bread and butter, cheese, ham and pickled onion
S: flapjack and pineapple.

Hope those of you who are struggling can get back in the zone soon, it’s definitely a mental thing for me - I’ve been trying to start this weight loss for months but am finally ready to go for it.

MammEEE · 09/06/2019 09:44

A bit late but I'd like to join too. 3kg is exactly how much I need to lose to be pre-baby weight again. When I gave birth last year I said to myself I want to be pre baby weight by summer. It's summer now but I'm not quite there yet. Let's make it happen! Grin

caffeinebuzz · 09/06/2019 09:45

I've had a decent week, mostly managed to keep to low carb meals but with the odd snack and some wine thrown in this weekend. Weighed in this morning and I've dropped 1.1kg since the start of the month, so going in the right direction.

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 10:18

Ah well to a smidge over 13 this morning Sad.. Just don't seem able to break it.

noseoftralee · 09/06/2019 10:37

Lovely dinners being made with this high veg book . Ignore James’ smug wholesome attitude . Particularly liked the cottage pie with sweet potato crust

Half a stone off (or 3kg) in June
Mum7777 · 09/06/2019 10:42

Ohtheroses I'm the same too. I can get to 13st but then really struggle to break the barrier into the 12st bracket.

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 11:00

I've managed to lose the 3lbs I put on during the last week where I ate and drank too much! So I'm back to my June 1st weight of 20 stone 4.

Huge huge kick up the arse needed as its only about 6 weeks until holiday!

OP posts:
OhTheRoses · 09/06/2019 11:23

You're doing so brilliantly cricket bearing in mind the other life shit you are facing.

TheHoundsofLove · 09/06/2019 11:29

Can someone kick me up the arse too please?! Grin
I haven't had a brilliant start to June so far - it's been my son's birthday, we've had bank holidays, I've had several social events etc... But I'm now back on it and hoping to claw it back for the rest of June! I think that's my main problem, really - there's always something... and I am so easily led
I've been keeping to my running schedule, so at least that's something!
Come on Ladies - we can bloody do this!

cricketmum84 · 09/06/2019 11:32

@OhTheRoses thank you ❤️

In a weird way I find my food intake is literally the only thing I have any control over at the moment! I do need to step away from the wine though, it's my downfall at the best of times!

LeukaeLucky · 09/06/2019 11:59

Back from the gym
I'm back over the 60kgs thanks to 2 days of rubbish eating and little exercise.
So 60.2 today that's still 1kg 600 grams for the week
Not bad
Well done to all of us

Crazzzycat · 09/06/2019 12:02

I’m away for most of this week, so am not expecting any great losses, but will try to be as good as possible Smile

To all that are struggling to stay motivated, hang on in there! It will get easier.

I’ve found that, for me, the best way to stay motivated is to just be kind to myself. There is no point beating myself up over not sticking to the plan for a day, or two. The only thing that matters is what I do after that happens.

Lookingforpizza · 09/06/2019 12:53

Thanks for doing the sums @cricket that’s so fantastic!!!! Grin and congrats to you on your loss this week!

noseoftralee · 09/06/2019 15:48

At school summer fayre. Pizza, ice cream, donut. Not my finest hour.
