Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Feeling lousy today. I've used my voice a lot at work this week which has now ended in a sore throat and its moving into my ears. Hopefully try to stay on track today but to be fair I don't feel like making/cooking food today.

Congratulations on all the weight loss so far

Fleabagging · 08/06/2019 08:50

Happy weekend all!
Just checking in with first week’s results.

Managed three 30 minute runs.
Ate low carb all week.
Followed 16:8
Had one 800 cal day BSD
Feeling leaner and proud of myself (although felt exhausted and irritable all week!)

Then.... had an off plan Friday eve with wine, samosas (that friend at work had made) cheese toastie, dark chocolate....

Starting weight 10st
Weight this morning 10st.... it’s Groundhog day!

OhTheRoses · 08/06/2019 09:07

Just not breaking the 13st mark, except v occasionally. Clearly 23 points and weeklies do not work for me. Will reduce to 21.

Wellthatwastricky · 08/06/2019 09:27

Morning

Thanks for all the well wishes. Yesterday was hard, I felt very rubbish and the only times I felt less wobbly was after eating so I decided higher calories is actually probably sensible until I feel better in a day or two. Ate a lot calories including pizza for dinner as I didn't want to cook. Probably means I won't lose weight this week but I'm determined to see this as looking after myself rather than failing the diet. I'll be back on it as soon as I'm feeling more myself.

On the upside, put on one of my floaty "skim over my big tummy" swing tops this morning and it looked silly on me - far too baggy and big, it's the first time I've had this with my clothes.

Saladforsantorini · 08/06/2019 09:45

Morning everyone,
Scales are saying 9st 4lbs this morning. 1lb off and i’ll take that considering I did have a glass of Prosecco and chocolate buttons last night.
Here’s to a healthy weekend! (Although probably not tonight because I’m going to a party!)

Baloonphobia · 08/06/2019 10:01

Complete failure here. I have tonsilitis and a chest infection. Trying to look after a 3 week old and nearly 2 year old while feeling like death warmed up is not conducive to a healthy diet. I'm pretty much surviving on ice cream and antibiotics.

peanutbutterismydownfall · 08/06/2019 10:12

1lb off this week.
I also looked at my MFP plan of the week and was appalled to see just how much crap I have eaten whilst thinking I was just having the "odd little treat". No wonder I'm the size I am!
Baloon that sounds horrible. Do you have family/friends around to help.
Good to see both scale victories and non-scale victories here. And some in the situation I am often in of going "why are the scales the same". Measuring yourself at the beginning of a diet can help with that (not that I ever remember to do it!). A few years ago when I lost weight (the same weight which I am trying to lose again now), I was doing 5:2, C25k and 30 day shred (I am such a MN sheep!) and had a six week stage where I the scales didn't move by an ounce but I went down a dress size. A friend commented on my weight loss and was a bit surprised when I shouted "but I haven't lost any" and burst into tears. After that outburst, I went back to losing 1lb a week and the got really smug, started eating crap and piled it back on again

Wellthatwastricky · 08/06/2019 10:36

Baloon that has got to be awful. Look after yourself, 3 weeks pp with two nasty infections and I bet you're pretty short on sleep right now. Eat what you can and I would suggest not giving a fig about anything other than your general well being now!

ImpossibleNovelty · 08/06/2019 10:41

Get well soon to the poorly people Flowers It’s so hard to eat healthily when you’re ill.
Away from home for a week now but hopefully not too disasterous for food.
B - nuts and a babybel
L - soup or advocado and eggs
D - takeaway curry - low carb options (and a naught poppadom)
I hope everyone is having a decent weekend so far.

cricketmum84 · 08/06/2019 11:06

Good morning all, happy Saturday and welcome to

❤️ Day 8 ❤️

Lovely to see the losses coming in however big or small. Every pound is a pound closer to goal.
My DH has bought me a food dehydrator so I'm going to have a play around with it this afternoon, I didn't even know they were a thing!! He has a friend at work who has a vegan wife and she does things like dried mushrooms and banana chips in them.

Food plan for today is:
B - coffee with almond milk
L - few cherry tomatoes and cucumber sticks
D - falafel, hummous and spinach wrap with some sweet potato fries on the side

Hope everyone is having a relaxing day and that the poorly ones amongst us start to feel a bit better xx

Another lb down this morning! Off for a day trip to the seaside with two of my dc - going to have to be strong to avoid unnecessary snacking. Good luck all.

Lookingforpizza · 08/06/2019 12:03

Oh @balloon that sounds awful Flowers I really hope you make a speedy recovery.

I’ve somehow lost 4lbs this week, although it’s probably more like 3lbs as I think the the first day I had a bit of bloat. Still I’m dead chuffed with that. I also beat my PR at the park run this morning and ran without stopping again. Feeling really good!

Having a bit of a cheat day today to enjoy the foods I like and have a break from salads Grin

Brunch: bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and toast with brown sauce
Dinner: spicy veggie pizza
Snacks: A lot of chocolate Grin

Hope everyone has a great day - week one down, we can do it!!!!

noseoftralee · 08/06/2019 12:20

Starting weight: 136
8/6/19: 134

Can’t believe how slowly the weight is coming off. Must be the breastfeeding and the chocolate

Moominfan · 08/06/2019 13:01

Two days calorie deficits, 10k steps and gym both days. Feeling good. Going to have a fat steak and chips tonight instead of a dirty takeaway.

QRCode · 08/06/2019 13:05

Hi all, you've all been busy losing weight (and catching germs) while I've been lying in the sun. I did go to the gym twice in our four days away, and didn't go completely off the wagon e.g. only one mocktail then switched to water, just fruit and yogurt for breakfast, but there's is bound to be an upward bounce when I get on the scales tomorrow. So be it, we had a good time!

I've set my end of term goal at 2kg below my weight the day we left home. Will see what that really means tomorrow morning.

LeukaeLucky · 08/06/2019 13:21

Good morning
I'm on 500 cal today
Feeling rubbish with en eye infection and left over pain from a lumbar puncture yesterday so I canceled my pilates class and I've gained 400 gr from the rubbish scoffing I did yesterday 😭
Anyway one day at a time x

Crazzzycat · 08/06/2019 15:15

Flowers to all of us who are not feeling well today.

I’m a big believer in just eating what your body tells you it wants on days like this. As long as you don’t go too crazy, a day or two off the diet shouldn’t do too much harm.

Yesterday my body was telling me it wanted caramel ice cream, which was odd as I’m lactose intolerant AND hate caramel 😂 Still, I had some and felt much better afterwards!

DirtyDennis · 08/06/2019 17:10

Okay so I ended up giving in and weighing myself today (being mindful of period-related water retention). To my surprise, I actually lost just over a pound last week. YAY.

Today's food is:
B: Cornflakes (110 cal)
L: Onion bhaji wrap and crisps (370 cal)
D: Vegan chilli (550 cal)
Snacks: Biscuits (280 cal)

Yesterday I went out for lunch with a friend but stuck to a Turkish platter so nothing too high calorie. For tea I just had cornflakes and a couple of biscuits. So I think even with lunch out I managed to stay below 1500 calories. Plus I walked about a mile and a half there and a mile and a half back to meet her so that's got to have burned a few hundred calories.

Millie2018 · 08/06/2019 17:22

First weigh in this month and I’m exactly 2kg down. So happy. Went for a 4 mile walk this morning and had a nice pizza lunch, then straight back on it. Fingers crossed for another good week.

OhTheRoses · 08/06/2019 19:38

Well actually after my bath today I was 12st 12lb and 3/8. Let's see where it heads tomorrow.

Had beans on toast for brek
Mushrooms with a dsp of creme fraiche for lunch
But supper was burger in a bun and salad.
Two diet g&ts

DeadButDelicious · 08/06/2019 19:46

I don't know what is wrong with me today but I am ravenous. I feel like I could eat a horse. Period has been and gone so it's not that, I've eaten well, I've literally just eaten my tea and I've drunk plenty of water but I'm still starving hungry. I'm trying to ignore it. Confused

Stitchosaurus · 08/06/2019 20:23

Hello, can I join please?

I’m aiming to lose half a stone by the end of June. I’m 169.6lbs at the mo (after losing 4.8lbs so far this week, love that water weight rush!) and have all kinds of targets I’m working towards as I find it helps to achieve small goals on the way to the big one!

My first goal is to reach 157lbs so I’m in the healthy range of BMI.

I’m using MFP to stick to 1200 calories a day.

Today’s food...
B: coffee with milk
L: fish with peas and tartar sauce
D: sausage sandwich
S: flapjack

noseoftralee · 08/06/2019 21:47

Does anyone else get the shock horror face if they say to someone they are following a 1200 cal diet? Like it’s ludicrously low or something Hmm

OhTheRoses · 08/06/2019 22:34

No, I don't discuss it in rl nose.

diamantegal · 08/06/2019 23:21

Failing miserably here. Turns out you can't just diet for part of the week and pig out for the rest (yes, last night's lamb dhansak and bottle of wine, I'm looking at you). Not sure my head's in quite the right space to take this as seriously as I should.
