Following on from previous themread and on the lovely @VivaFridas behalf I welcome you all to half a stone off for June!

Welcome to all and good luck for the month ahead. I hereby promise to inject a little enthusiasm into each morning and stay away from the Greggs Vegan rolls.

Old and new joiners welcome, whatever diet or exercise plan you are following. All I ask for is positivity towards others even if we are feeling a bit meh about ourselves.

Who's in and ready for day 1 tomorrow!

Happy birthday cricket! Sounds wonderful

Small pity party over here - still have eye infection and sore throat which hurts when I swallow, FFS it's been a week now. Plans for today have fallen through so I have an overtired grouchy four year old and one year old to occupy on my lonesome for 10 hours when all I want to do is go back to bed and sleep. Was supposed to have a rare night out with friends too but just feel too rubbish.

Aims for today - not to fall into comfort eating.

ImpossibleNovelty · 07/06/2019 09:06

Happy birthday cricketmum It sounds like you have a lovely day lined up.
A funny day food wise for me today as we’re travelling this evening. So hopefully
B - nuts and a babybel
L - Sausages and sauerkraut
D - Left over steak and aubergine from last night
S - dark chocolate.

Startoftheyear2019 · 07/06/2019 09:17

Happy birthday @cricketmum84 - hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic year ahead. I'm incredibly happy as the scales have finally started moving for me and I've now lost 2lbs. It's thanks to this thread! I hope @VivaFrida is able to rejoin soon and wishing everyone a happy Friday!

waveygravy · 07/06/2019 09:29

Happy birthday cricketmum, sounds like you are truly loved!

Yesterday I had a wobble and ate a couple of the cupcakes the kids had made for school bake sale. Oops Still under 1500 Cal's though so picking myself up and carrying on.

edwardson · 07/06/2019 09:46

Happy birthday cricket!! Thanks for the inspo sorry to hear you're I'll @Wellthatwastricky - that must be so frustrating.

I've been out and/or travelling most nights for weeks. I've been okay on the exercise but have been eating terribly. Hopping back on the healthy eating wagon and get back on track.

Going to wait til after my run today before weighing Confused good luck everyone!

riotlady · 07/06/2019 10:35

Happy birthday cricket!

That sucks, @Wellthatwastricky Being ill is so much worse when you still have to power through and look after the kids!

I had my pizza last night and was down 1.5lbs this morning so I’m very pleased! Bit gutted that my friends were commenting on one girl’s weight loss and no one noticed that I’d lost 11lbs! I suppose cos im so big it doesn’t make that much of a difference at the moment, and it will become more apparent as I lose more and more.

DeadButDelicious · 07/06/2019 10:56

Happy Birthday Cricket!

Saladforsantorini · 07/06/2019 14:23

Happy birthday Cricket!

B - Protein yoghurt, 1 apple + 1.5 tbs peanut butter
Snacks - 1 pack of quavers + gold bar + 3 crackers (fell off the wagon abit here)
L - 2 cheese and salad pita breads
D - Fresh tomato soup

Will be going to the gym for a big session. All these carbs should keep me going. Despite the crappy snacks and slightly bigger lunch than usual, my calories should still come in at around 1,200 (after exercise because I do eat my cals back :P)
Hoping for a good weekend being good other than 1 or 2 glasses of wine on Saturday night.
Happy weekend ! X

Crazzzycat · 07/06/2019 14:43

Happy birthday cricket

I’m checking in with my stats and...I lost 1.4 kg. That is almost as much as I lost in the entire month of May 😮

But, I promised myself that June would be all about celebrating non scale victories, so I’m trying not to get too excited about those numbers Grin

About those non scale victories, this week I:

  • found out that size 12 jeans now fit me
  • did 3 intensive sessions on the x-trainer and went for countless walks
  • even though it was a super stressful week, I did not comfort eat

So all in all, it’s been a pretty awesome week Smile

Happy birthday cricket

CrocodileClips · 07/06/2019 17:37

Loads of you are doing really well! Especially impressed by those sticking to 1200 calories a day or less, I'm struggling to stick to 1400 and have had a few definitely not under 1400 days this week Blush

Anyway, please talk me out of baking this weekend! Ended up looking through my recipe folder earlier and getting tempted. But there's only going to be me, DH and 2 DC to eat anything I make and I know I'll end up eating half the cake (or cookies etc).

Fluffiest · 07/06/2019 17:52

Happy Birthday Cricket,

I'm a bridesmaid for my best friend's wedding today. I've eaten lots, drunk a considerable amount of wine and don't know how much I weigh. I've slipped back to the hotel room for a little rest before the evening do and a scroll on mumsnet.

I'll check in again on Sunday once I've recovered a bit.

Well done everyone for their continued efforts. We got this!

AwdBovril · 07/06/2019 17:53

Weighed myself this morning, am now 10st 1.5lb. So have lost 1.5lb in 6 days. I'm happy with that.

Have been a bit more organised re my meals, I'm preparing a batch of something to last for a few days at a time & storing it in the fridge in tubs. Seems much easier than having to do a full meal each time. Currently I have herb baked chicken, chickpea & mixed grain salad with mixed herbs (homegrown, yay!) & a box of mixed beansprouts.

No refined sugar has been consumed for over a week now, I'm definitely less desperate for chocolate than I usually am. Not sure how I'll be when TOTM arrives. Possibly a bit stabby... I usually eat a couple of 80g bars of the decent stuff each month around that time. Have stocked up on nice fruit & yoghurt in a (possibly futile) attempt to mitigate pending hormonal rage.

Have also done the first exercise on the 30 day shred DVD twice this week, as well as going to the gym once. I definitely ache, & am going to bed earlier. Have dug out, & washed, my silk sleep eye masks, as I struggle to sleep well at this time of year without them. Bonus - apparently silk has beneficial effects against wrinkles. No idea how long it lasts or if repeated washing & wearing reduces how effective it is, but I can hope.

LeukaeLucky · 07/06/2019 18:08

Happy birthday OP
Had to eat out because of a long day of hospital appointments but still within my cal allowance. Tomorrow is my fasting day I'm not sure how to stick to 500 cal but will plan tonight

Lookingforpizza · 07/06/2019 19:32

Happy birthday @cricket!

Hope everyone has had a good first week, and for anyone that hasn’t, don’t beat yourself up!

I’ve tried to be extra good today, and have drunk lots of water - I’m still planning to have chocolate later on!

Today’s food:
B: Alpen and yoghurt
L: Tomato and lentil soup
D: Prawn stir fry
Snacks: Skinny latte, chocolate and hot chocolate

All comes in at around 1300 calories. Scales were 79.3 this morning so I’d be buzzing if they went into 78 tomorrow Grin

Miserable weather here is making a morning park run unlikely so will go to the gym instead.

cricketmum84 · 07/06/2019 19:40

Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes everyone. You really are a lovely bunch ❤️

Just checking in between glasses of Prosecco waiting for our Chinese to arrive and the rugby to start!!

Hope you all have a lovely relaxing Friday evening. I'll catch up with the thread properly in the morning! Xx

Happy birthday cricket
I have had a pretty rubbish week due to family issues but I weighed myself tgis morning and I have lost 1.75lb so not so bad! Down to 10 at 3lb. Really want to be 9 st 10 at the most by tge end of the month so going to crank it up a notch next week if I can Grin

Christmastreeohchritmastree · 07/06/2019 19:49

Sorry for the typos!

OhTheRoses · 07/06/2019 20:42

Happy Birthday @cricketmum84. Sorry to be so late to the party.

Scales were interesting this morning. 12st 13-5/8 at 4.30 am, 12st 12-3/4 at 6.00am and then after my shower and with my nightie off 13st Confused. Joy turned to grumpiness.

But my trousers feel looser. Who knows?

cricketmum84 · 07/06/2019 21:09

Finished my birthday off with a gorgeous dessert made by my lovely DH and DD.

Meringue, whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi and lemon curd. Absolutely delicious 😍

That looks worth going without any other food for two days cricket x

cricketmum84 · 07/06/2019 21:57

Haha yup it will be lettuce and dust for a couple of days!! The dessert was shared between 4 of us though and there's still about a third left 😂

Happy Birthday @cricketmum84
That desert looks good!
I’m weighing in tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed. I’ve been so good this week. I put on in May so I feel like I’ve got to lose that and more. Not a bad day food wise but did sneak a couple of the kids sweets. Got to stop doing that.

Jeds55 · 08/06/2019 04:35

Happy Birthday for yesterday @Cricket, that dessert looks amazing! Hope things get better to those feeling poorly/ stressed.

Had been good all week but slight wobble yesterday- had more snacks but healthier ones...Haven't managed to get out for more runs though, still adjusting to being back at work and nursery runs etc.
The weekends are always my main struggle, always tempted to have weekend off and "start again Monday". Will allow myself more calories today (but not go crazy) and couple glasses wine tonight but make sure am back on it on Sunday. Will run too.
Been awake with DD for last hour, feels like it should be breakfast time already! Have a good weekend all

lightlypoached · 08/06/2019 08:03

@cricket happy 'boxing' birthday. Smile

It's been a busy week but have managed 2 days at c800 cals and wine free weekdays. At 1300 calls for the other days.
A bit of a blowout last night with fish chips and mushy peas (a whole tin as no one else eats them). Plus wine and a fry's chocolate cream Grin

Weight loss this week ......half a kilo. It's a start.
