Best way to lose 3 st

So, I've obviously buried my head in the sand. This morning I realised my go to comfy clothes are in the wash. I've basically been wearing leggings and baggy tops for the last year or so. I tried on a top I haven't worn for a while and my oh my it looks terrible! I thought enough is enough and braved the scales- I'm 13st 4, the heaviest I've ever been! I'm 5ft 9.

4 years ago I was just over 9 stone and a small size 8.

My ideal weight is around the 10st mark.

I've never eaten breakfast or lunch but have a large dinner. This can be something extremely healthy or the polar opposite 😬 I don't really snack on anything. I drink just Tea without sugar and occasional sugar free soft drinks. I assume my downfall is my love of Prosecco.

I'm fairly active as my job is physical.

Where am I going wrong? I know I should cut out the wine. I've tried eating breakfast, lunch and dinner but gain weight.

What diet would be best?

TIA

Of course @HarryHenderson! Yes, I'm definitely in the zone. I'm hoping nothing to difficult will be thrown in my path.

I find that posting on here keeps the motivation up. I'm being a bit silly as I'm feeling annoyed I only lost a pound. A loss is a loss though! Need to give myself a talking too Hmm.

I'm going to buy a load of vegetables today and make a ratatouille. I've stolen this idea from a kind poster on another thread, tasty but low calorie.

I'm doing Dr Moseley Fast 800 and loving it :)

Good to hear your enjoying your diet @namechangedforanon.

I'm not sure I'd say I enjoy mine but I don't miss anything as such and I'm not often hungry. I feel a bit Sadwhen I turn down say an ice cream when at an event. Other than that I enjoy seeing the 1lbs come off. I've just tried on the top that isn't fit 7 weeks ago and it looks much better! I won't wear it out until I'm another stone down but will get there. My only wish is that I could be at my goal weight tomorrow.

Hope everything goes to plan all!

I know what you mean when you have to turn down a treat, Sad
I was given some good advice re cravings - when you are craving something unhealthy try and switch the craving to something healthy that you can have.. so imagine a really beautifully cooked piece of fish for example, or slow roasted tomatoes with balsamic drizzle ....really focus on it and then actually buy it and really enjoy satisfying your craving but with none of the negatives.

Last weeks disappointment gone as I've dropped another 3lb this week.

That's 19lb in 8 weeks. I'm now 2lb inside my healthy BMI range and in the 11st bracket. Happy with that! 27lbs to go until I'm at my happy weight (10st).

In truth I'm averaging around 1000 calories a day excluding sat where I might go up to about 1400/1500 calories due to takeaway and wine.

How is everyone else doing?

Yay, another good week for me. 2lb loss. 21 lbs lost and 25 lbs to go.
