SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2019 09:53

That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

Thanks SoddingName and WildHair. I'll be fine - just feeling sorry for myself!

I've just had a great dream about eating a cake I really wanted to buy earlier today! Not sure dream cake makes up for real cake though Cake

TantricTwist · 17/05/2019 23:04

So I had a medium Pizza Hut Pizza tonight, which was delicious, god knows how many calories in it but so worth it but in fairness I hadn't eaten a thing since lunch so 8 hrs no food.

TantricTwist · 17/05/2019 23:09

So I've added it to MFP as 8 slices which is approx 1800 cals oops, good job I walked for over an hour earlier, although that hardly makes up for it.

TantricTwist · 17/05/2019 23:27

I think I will have to make some of StoatofDisarray frittata to keep on hand in the fridge to prevent further errant deliveries of junk food.

peanutbutterismydownfall · 18/05/2019 08:39

Various disasters yesterday and I fell into a bag of chocolate & had a couple of vodkas in the evening with the result that I have immediately gained 1lb. Can my body give me no credit for my efforts earlier in the week?
Out this evening & off to a thing at which I have to log relatively smart this morning. I have time to go to the gym this afternoon but don't know if I can be bothered to shower & do my hair twice in once day

theedgeofthecloud · 18/05/2019 09:23

Day 4 here and not doing too badly. I might have had a piece of chocolate and pecan shortbread yesterday Blush. But I did a 6-mile walk so feel I might have burnt it off...?!

Some great losses on here which are very motivational. I normally slack off a bit at the weekend with a 'I'll start again on Monday' approach, but am trying to buck the trend so will be logging on mfp today and tomorrow.

Keep going everyone!

AyahuascaTrip · 18/05/2019 10:13

Yesterday was quite a calorific one despite only eating one meal at the end of the day - moussaka, a dressed salad, 2 glasses red wine, a gu pudding (salted caramel cheesecake) best guesstimate around 2200 calories. Also only did 3500 steps all day 🙈

ILiveInSalemsLot · 18/05/2019 15:38

I’m back to fasting today. Kids want burgers and chips for dinner. I’ll have to control myself so I don’t eat the same.
I’ve got leftovers in the fridge of Dahl and veg curry so I’m having that.

TantricTwist · 18/05/2019 16:04

So far today I've had 2 cups of tea, some mash potato and some tender stem broccoli. No exercise as I'm studying which is stressing me out. In fact will now make a coffee and should go on a quick walk to clear my head but probably won't.

MrsMozartMkII · 18/05/2019 16:07

Been sidetracked with seeing DDs.

Haven't been brill, but definitely been better than in the recent past.

Hang on in there y'all.

plonkie · 18/05/2019 18:28

Hey everyone. Been absent for a day or two as I have mainly been eating.
I've not been digging out on bread though, which is a big thing for me.
Had Chinese takeaway last night so huge amount of calories. Plus cider.
This morning had leftover Chinese.
Had chicken burger and chips for lunch today. Booze. More booze to come.
Just had a homemade coconut beef curry. Nutritious but v high in calories.
Normal weekend Haha!
I'll be extra strict in the week to counteract!
Keep going everyone!

fitterhappierhealthier · 18/05/2019 18:43

Can I jump in on this thread please!? I have about 15 kgs to lose before August....

I have started exercising (about 30 mins a day, I'm on day 10 so far!) and I'm interested in backing it up with the 5:2 - please can someone let me know what calorie intake this is on the 2 days? I seem to remember it being 500?

bettybyebye · 19/05/2019 08:43

Well done on the losses so far everyone! Weigh in day for me yesterday and I am at least 2lbs down (hadn’t weighed myself in over a week and I suspect my weight had gone up even more before I started being good). Am slightly disappointed it wasn’t more but determined to keep on.

Yesterday was a good day, until the evening when I decided to have a couple of treats - glass of prosecco, couple of gins, some walkers poppadoms and then half a bloody Easter egg! 😳 however I have pointed everything on my ww app and I still have 7 weekly points left (although they only reset yesterday!)

I am hoping that having a slight “treat day” after wi on a Saturday will help me stick with this 🤞🏻

Taking the kids swimming shortly and healthy meals planned for the day!

Stoat - if you have a slow cooker this is a great recipe: www.clairekcreations.com/spanish-chicken-in-the-slow-cooker/

On ww it’s just 4sp per serving (the chorizo) and we also get 4 meals out of 2 chicken breasts. Doing it in the slow cooker makes it really moist and the chicken shreds really easily

PumpkinPie2016 · 19/05/2019 09:33

May I join in please? Grin

I am going away in 9 weeks and really need to lose some weight before I go.

I have dug out my running shoes and plan to try to do some everyday - either gym or outdoor.

I have ditched booze and I am trying to cut out chocolate/crisps/biscuits as those are my big downfalls.

I started quite well last week but fell off mid week , however, from tomorrow, I am determined to get going properly!

Well done to those who have lost so far!

myteaiscold · 19/05/2019 09:48

Yay!!! I'm so joining this thread! Have so much back fat and the only way to lose it is shedding the baby weight I've put on! The advice of breastfeeding will help you lose weight is not working as I'm eating like a pig

MrsMozartMkII · 19/05/2019 09:50

betty well done!

Welcome new losers Grin

I carbed yesterday. Big style on a cake DD made for me, and bread a neighbour brought round. Really enjoyed at the time. Felt shit after though.

sirmione16 · 19/05/2019 09:52

I'd like to join in please I've 8 weeks until I get married and despite even hiring a PT, I'm struggling to have self control. How do people stay on track? I feel like I crave bad stuff more purely because I'm limiting it

AyahuascaTrip · 19/05/2019 11:07

Day 7! Looks like I’m only 1.6lbs down but aiming for calorie deficit of around 500 a day which should be only 1lb a week (? maths not my thing). Will keep at it for two or three more weeks then see if I need more activity/less food - whatever’s easiest. Not a very dramatic start but right direction!

TantricTwist · 19/05/2019 17:34

Last night I ended up eating some peanuts, a double burger so 2 patties in a brioche bun. Oh and a couple of drumstick lollies.

Today I ate half a tesco trifle and a large pitta with humous and tomato.
I haven't input that into MFP yet. I have done no exercise at all.

Betty I have a slow cooker and will try that spanich chicken recipe looks yummy.

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 19/05/2019 17:51

Hello, losers! 😆

I've tracked weight-loss targets on the big wall calendar above my desk... BUGGER -- I just realised that I got my dates wrong! I thought tomorrow was the 13th and my goal was 12st 2lbs. I just realised tomorrow is the 20th and I'm meant to be 12st 0.

I'm 12st 1.5 today. 🤔

Bollocks! I was feeling all smug and on top of life, like a goal-smashing legend... and now I realise I've got to lose 1.5lbs in the next 24 hours.

Bugger.

Seer · 19/05/2019 17:56

I'd love to join you, if not too late. Smile

My weight has always taken care of itself until I've suddenly realised it isn't Hmm So I'm embarking on my first ever 'diet' although really I'm seeing it more as an ongoing tweaked way of life (ideally).

I'm aiming to lose the stone and a half that's crept on over the last year after being more sedentary after an operation, and generally eating a little more than I have in the past.

I'm doing 16:8 (5 days a week), 80% whole food plant based (the other 20% vegan, which I am anyway) and keeping to roughly 1200 calories in the week and 1500 at the weekends.

That might sound complicated but it's more just based on how I naturally eat - eg I'm not hungry in the mornings anyway so 16:8 is easy for me - but with a bit more intention than before.

I've lost 6lb in the last ten days (tho some of that is almost certainly down to my uneven floor and unreliable scales Hmm) so I've now got a stone or so to go.

It's great to have some company Smile

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 20/05/2019 07:50

Morning! So I'm 12st 1 and 1/4 this morning - so I'm behind schedule. But it's only 1.25lbs behind schedule, so not the end of the world. 😆

I need to find some exercise today. And I need to do a healthy Tesco run for fruit, veg, diet drinks, yogurt and Puft HulaHoops. 😂

My car needs patrol but there's a crazy granny bus that goes between my house and Tesco for £3 return. I think I'll use that. I might even get off a few stops early for exercise I probably won't.

Have a great, skinny day, everyone!

ILiveInSalemsLot · 20/05/2019 08:05

Well done on more losses and I’m impressed with the target setting, HasThis. 1.5 off target is still great.

I’m carrying on with the fasting this week. It’s the only thing that’s worked for me in years. Had a bit of an indulgent weekend though with in laws over for dinner and there being lots of food and desserts but I tried to keep it low.

Here’s to a good week for everyone.

TantricTwist · 20/05/2019 14:31

I'm delighted that my tummy has gone down enough that my jeans were fitting more comfortably today than last week. Although I still have a very long way to go to lose a dress size or 2, preferably 2.

My weight loss is based on whether my clothes are looser than how much actual weight I've lost as I'm too scared to get on any scales. I feel like the trauma would set me back.

Being on here and MFP is helping a lot so far.

PumpkinPie2016 · 20/05/2019 17:02

Well, I have made a good start - not eaten any crap today, have drunk lots of water and went to the gym!

Didn't do a huge amount in the gym but I have made a start and that's what matters. I will go again on Wednesday Smile
