Morning @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1

Oh I loved Mexico! Deffo one of my fave places. We travelled around the Yucatan and it was so varied, beautiful and interesting. I particularly loved the Ibizan vibe in Playa Del Carmen and swimming with turtles in Tulum! I hope you have an amazing time.

@TantricTwist I'll have to pay you to take my DCs to Disney some time! I loathe the idea but every now and then they suggest it and dh says "You know Mummy won't go there!" The same applies to taking them swimming - I do a lot with them but I know my boundaries GrinI hope you have a (low cal) ball anyway!

We're off to Italy for about the billionth time! We're going to the north east coast this time but we've been all over it (plus Sicily and Sardinia) over the years and love it all.

I vaguely speak the language (much more so when I've been there a few days) which helps.

We went somewhere in Asia last year which was incredible but I'm also glad to be going back to our home from home!

Plan for today:

I think the DCs and I are going to a local art place to do rock painting and/or pottery and then I have a client call this afternoon (last one of the week - yay!)

B: fasting
L: fasting (intending to fast at least until 18 hours but will see how I feel as I'm on and can feel a little faint in the first day or two)
D: v bangers, mash and lots of veg

Should be another 1k day. My weight hasn't moved at all for 3 days, which is unusual, so it's about to go up or down soon!

Have a lovely day, you two Smile

DottieLottie1 · 31/07/2019 09:41

I've not been to Italy, but it's on my list. Lake Garda, Lake Como and Sorrento float my boat! Our problem is that due to DH work we are restricted to annual holidays being in the UK winter. We are therefore limited to destinations that have warm enough weather.

Working today through to Saturday. Food plans-

B- a cuppa, Tony splash of milk- the darker the better, not diet related Wink

L- Vanilla shake (shop bought) and blueberries

D- 4 egg omelette with cheese, lots of leafy salad

and Wednesday/mid week = Prosecco

Around 1000 cals Smile

That makes sense re hols and the timing of MM @TantricTwist

Last year's holiday was our first long haul one with the DCs - it was much easier than I expected, despite lots of people being surprised we were taking children to that country!

Had a really productive day and managed nearly 18 hours fasting but broke it to have lunch out with the DCs. I could have easily done 20 hours otherwise I think.

I'm now on 1022 cals and I'm going to join @DottieLottie1 in a Wednesday WineSmile

DottieLottie1 · 31/07/2019 20:32

Cheers @Seer 🥂 Grin

Seer · 01/08/2019 08:17

Morning!

Ds is at a football camp and dd and I are going to the art workshop we were going to go to yesterday.

Planning to fast for 18 hours but then I think I will have lunch as it's just dd and I here.

I have friends over tonight and will have a glass of wine, only one though as they're driving.

Soooo, plans so far:

B: fasting
L: baked potato with sweetcorn, pickles and salad
D: left over macaroni 'cheese', roast squash, greens
Snacks: glass of sauv blanc and some bread (which is to do with the reason the friends are over but it might be outing to say more!)

Around 1150 cals because of the snacks but a girl's gotta live!

I've lost a couple more ounces... I'm so close to that next pound down that I can taste it!

What are your plans @DottieLottie1 and @TantricTwist ?

DottieLottie1 · 01/08/2019 09:41

Morning

Working today.

B- Vanilla and almond milk shake
L- Almond milk hot choc and cherries
D- Chicken peri peri and salad

I've replaced semi-skimmed milk for almond milk in everything but tea (just doesn't work!). It cuts down the calories massively.

Enjoy your crafts and bread day @Seer Grin

TantricTwist · 01/08/2019 09:55

I'm working today @Seer So far eaten a nectarine on the bus to work and a plum and 3 kabano sausages on my break.

We've swapped milk for oatly milk although I buy a pint of semi skimmed for tea same as you @DottieLottie1

I fell asleep really early last night so didn't eat much

Seer · 01/08/2019 23:37

Probably ate a zillion calories in bread and dips on my bread and craft evening Wink but I care not... I'm happy with how I looked in the photos!!! The Holy Grail, right?

How have your days been @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ?

Seer · 01/08/2019 23:38

Re plant milk, I only really like soya milk in tea but I think it's higher in cals than many of the others,

DottieLottie1 · 02/08/2019 00:05

@Seer good day calorie-wise, finished on 1019....

Working tomorrow through lunchtime and then have to take my DD to stay with her holiday friend a couple of hours away. So by the time I get home it will be dinner time. I suspect it will be another LC one. I'm reality I'm hitting about 1000 cal a day instead of the MFP recommended 1200. On a Saturday it's more 1200-1400.

That's brilliant @DottieLottie1 You're an inspiration to me to keep on track!

Talking of which... I'm another pound down! I've been visualising this all week - I so wanted to see it on the scales!

Sooooo pleased about that especially after the bread feast last night!

3lb to go until my original goal weight. Totally doable by my holiday at this rate (exactly 1.27lb per week on average according to my spreadsheet ).

I'm really noticing my body looking more toned and with more waist definition like it used to - but long before I even started putting on weight last year.

I think fat was creeping on gradually without me realising for the past 6 years. I was still slim even after having the DCs (now 11 and 9) and I think I just took it for granted that my weight would always be fine without me needing to be aware of it.

No real plans today. Feeling tired after another busy week so think I'll just relax with the DCs at home, go for a dog walk, maybe some gardening, and then DH is back (has been away a lot lately) and we'll have our usual Friday takeaway.

B: fasting
L: fasting or something light like a salad or miso and veg
D: Chinese takeaway and a couple of glasses of wine

Likely to be around 1000-1200 cals depending on fasting/lunch

What are you up to @DottieLottie1 and @TantricTwist ?

TantricTwist · 02/08/2019 13:05

Hi guys @Seer @DottieLottie1 what was on that deleted post I'm wondering? Any ideas?

Well 2 days in a row now I've come home and pretty much fallen asleep straight away after work. I did manage to eat a bowl of Alpen though when I got home last night so at least didn't wake up in the middle of the night starving. At work I ate a further 3 kabano sausages, an apple and plum.

I havent eaten yet today but will have a bowl of alpen again soon and more fruit later. I don't feel hungry just tired.

TantricTwist · 02/08/2019 13:52

Ps I got my rather outing post above deleted too.

DottieLottie1 · 02/08/2019 18:39

No idea @TantricTwist I didn't see it before it was deleted but initially thought it might be disapproval of VLC dieting. Then on further investigation 🧐 the poster had posted on loads of threads and they were all deleted Hmm

Home now, so cracked open the Prosecco and having a bbq chicken salad.

Beautiful evening here.

TantricTwist · 02/08/2019 22:28

We ended up popping out to Nandos for a bite to eat where I had half a chicken, their new grains and green salad and urm peri peri chips (half of which I gave away) followed by quite a lot of DD's bottomless mango yoghurt ice cream. All very nice.

Tomorrow I'm out all day and probably won't end up eating that much but will be drinking a fair bit of Prosecco but will do a fair bit of walking.

DottieLottie1 · 03/08/2019 09:15

That all sounds lovely @TantricTwist

Boring day for me as working and then home for a takeaway, not sure what's on the menu.

Seer · 03/08/2019 09:17

Morning!

Looks like another nice day weather-wise! DH is away this afternoon/tonight so I think I'll spend the afternoon in the garden with the DCs and then take them out for dinner early evening.

B: v BLT
L: will miss
D: probably dinner at an Indian restaurant so various veg curry, rice, chapatis etc

I was up late looking at photos of me over the last 5 years to see if I could figure out when the weight gain started.

It's clear there was a sudden gain earlier late last year/early this year, which I've now lost.

But I can see that even though I'm at a fairly happy weight again now, tummy almost flat etc, I was still slimmer 5 years ago.

I've just tried on a pair of jeans I was wearing in a pic 5 years ago and looked great in, no muffin top or tummy squashed in. They're now 2" too small on the waist and tummy so I can't even do them up. Hmm

So my plan to get back to a 29" waist (now 31") is about right.

Will keep on keeping on.

What are you up to @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 , did you enjoy your Prosecco Dottie? Smile

DottieLottie1 · 03/08/2019 17:14

How much weight have you list to date @Seer?

I doubt I will get back to 9st which I was 4 years ago. I can't see it being sustainable but 10 stone I think would be perfect. That's my goal and I will see how I feel once I get there.

Seer · 03/08/2019 17:47

@DottieLottie1 you must have been tiny at 9stone given your height! What body shape/build are you?

I'm 2" shorter than you and I looked underweight at 9 stone.

I've lost 17lb so far (and still no-one's noticed!) I will probably need to lose another stone to get to a 29" waist again, making my final goal weight around 10 stone 7lb.

DottieLottie1 · 03/08/2019 22:16

@Seer yes I'm incredibly slim at 9st. It's not sustainable, I was always around 10st and then had a few stressful years because of DH health resulting in weight loss. I maintained 9 st without thinking about it for about 3 years and then boom 4 stone weight gain Blush

I'm actually very athletic when slim but pile weight on my hips, thighs and bum.

DottieLottie1 · 03/08/2019 22:21

And @Seer like you no one has noticed even though I've lost getting on for 2 stone! It's definitely noticeable Hmm

DottieLottie1 · 03/08/2019 22:21

Makes me feel a bit invisible 😂

DottieLottie1 · 04/08/2019 10:12

We ended up going out for dinner last night instead of takeaway. I went for half roast chicken, chips and salad. I had fewer calories than I was expecting around 1250 fot the day.

More chicken tonight Hmm as having chicken wraps but I do enjoy it!

Not much planned for today other than picking my daughter up from a sleep over 2 hours away! Visitors staying this week so my secret dieting might be a challenge Blush

What are your plans for the day?
