That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

Sorry @Seer I didn't reference you to the extracmeny 😇😬😂

@DottieLottie1 I haven't eaten anything yet. I'm just going to have a burger with a tiny bit of mustard, ketchup and mayo with a salad on the side maybe. I've been clearing out a few bits and bobs from cupboards to clear some space. I'd better eat before I start to binge later.

TantricTwist · 19/07/2019 21:06

So I’ve had my bun free burger with corn on the cob and along with a couple of G&T’s will come to 1220.
I need to come up with a better way to stay under 1000 without feeling lightheaded

Seer · 20/07/2019 08:04

Congrats on passing your exam @TantricTwist ! The sourdough does sound amazing.

It is tricky balancing calories and satiety isn't it? I only seem to manage it when I don't have breakfast, in which case the hunger doesn't kick in until lunch and I have more calories to use for a more filling lunch and dinner.

Nope, you deffo are extraordinary @DottieLottie1 I'm guessing your sports background might have something to do with your iron will and ability to switch off from hunger signals!

I went way over on cals yesterday (totally the wine). Going to try and make today an improvement (not hard!)

Plan today:

B: avo and tomato on toast

L: either none or a low cal on such as salad or miso soup and dumplings

D: I think we're having watching a film and having junk food like v hotdogs, fries, corn on cob (will go for small portion)

The weather is pretty grim here which is a shame as we were originally planning to go to an outdoor theatre tonight.

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 11:50

@Seer weathers not too bad here. I did have a few boiled sweets I was given from France. They are delicious and come in a gorgeous tin.

@DottieLottie1 you are doing extraordinarily well with your shakes and things. >>shake your thang

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 11:51

*sweets were last night that is, although I'm sure I'll have more today.

Seer · 20/07/2019 12:03

The weather forecast has brightened up here too @TantricTwist so I think we will be able to go after all Smile

My family have decided they still want the v hotdogs so I will attempt to make them and transport them to have as a picnic, along with crisps, hummus etc... will try not to eat too much!

Seer · 20/07/2019 15:06

Ooooh just tried on a pair of size 12 fitted shorts with a button fastening that I planned to return last year because they were way too small for me (and then dh misplaced them so I didn't return them).

I found them and tried them on a month ago and they were still about an inch away from me being able to do them up. I decided I might as well keep them as way of seeing my fat loss progress.

I just tried them on and I can now actually do them up!!! They're still a bit too tight to look or feel good but I feel optimistic that that will change.

Hoorah! Smile

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 16:07

That's a positive @Seer Smile

Weathers much better here too (Home Counties) so probably have our takeaway in the garden.

Tomorrow will be a pub dinner so I will probably stick to my shakes for breakfast and lunch (they are homemade!). I'm going to go for chicken in a mushroom sauce with herby potatoes and veg - 450 calories apparently, might get a side too Wink

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 16:35

Yay to the shorts @Seer this is exciting news and needs a celebratory virtual Gin. Not bad going at all for a month (plus a few months prior to that)

@DottieLottie1 I'm Home Counties too but never realised I was as I thought of it more as Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire for some reason ie the Shires. (not that I've thought about it much tbh) Grin

We've had burgers (mine non bun again) and veg cous cous, green salad and potato salad. I have to say my salads are tasting infinitely better after I got some quality balsamic vinegar and virgin olive oil.

Not the potato though as that needs sunflower oil, tastes horrible otherwise.
Has anyone out of interest tried a balsamic reduction by Mazzetti (fig) or (original) I saw someone specifically look and take it off the shelf. I'm presuming it's quite sweet. I put it in my basket then decided to put it back on the shelf in case I didn't like it. Plus I'd put lots of random items in my trolley when all I wanted was oat milk.

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 18:02

Erm @TantricTwist we might be in the same county then! Made famous by a cringe worthy reality show 😂

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 18:09

That's not fair, it's famous for other things too but if your not from this county it's that show, and white stilettos that "outsiders" think of!

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 19:05

@DottieLottie1 close but two counties away along the coast, surrounded by the South Downs.

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 19:13

I've been to Brentwood where a friend of mine lives and it's really pretty

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 19:23

Ahhh, East Sussex! I've visited quite a bit, I'm a camping girl! I'm in a town not too far from Brentwood actually Smile

My weekly blow out takeaway- KFC done! Though I do always worry a bit it will scupper what I've done through the week, but worked too date. I think it may get harder once I'm in that last stone to lose point....

TantricTwist · 20/07/2019 21:54

Yes there are some great camping spots around here. I've camped many times but not recently because the DC are no longer little enough to appreciate the feral outdoorsiness of it all.

My downfall at the moment is ice cream and before you say it it's not because of the machine it's because all my favourites are on offer so I can't resist in this weather.

Calories today 1482 give or take.

No alcohol for me due to high cal intake.

Seer · 20/07/2019 23:07

So strange... I was only pondering where you two are earlier! And bizarrely I'm also Home Counties... we're neighbours @DottieLottie1

I have close family near you @TantricTwist so I know your lovely county well too!

Just got home from the fab outdoor theatre and probably ate way too many crisps. Deffo need a lower cal day tomorrow.

Tim Ferriss recommends having a treat day @DottieLottie1 but I don't know how much that's just psychological to keep you on track the rest of the time. I deffo find it easier to keep low cal in the week when I can have more fri/sat.

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 23:10

Ooooh, I assume Hertfordshire? I'm right on tour border!

DottieLottie1 · 20/07/2019 23:11

*your

Seer · 20/07/2019 23:40

Yes, I am right near the border too, we really are neighbours! I'm very close to a certain airport Grin

Seer · 20/07/2019 23:49

If we're just ten or so miles away from each other it will be way too weird @DottieLottie1 Grin

DottieLottie1 · 21/07/2019 05:09

@Seer , I'm a 15 min drive from Stortford Shock

DottieLottie1 · 21/07/2019 05:14

Plans for today-

I'm normally off work on Sundays but have to go in for a training course. Training course is over lunch time, no food or drink provided (although I think it's bad, it suits me!).

I'll have my morning shake, skip lunch and then out for pub grub this evening. I've decided not to have a drink so will stick to softies. Pub is walkable and I shouldn't hit more than 950 cals today.

Seer · 21/07/2019 08:52

That is crazy @DottieLottie1 ! Given we could live anywhere in the entire country we're in basically in neighbouring towns!

Your training course sounds tough with the lack of lunch... but you're the woman for it!

I've also just realised that might be that the hospital I mentioned my mum was in before she died, is the very same one that @TantricTwist works at!

Not sure what we're up to today. Ds is at a party all afternoon and dh is pondering between either gardening or clothes shopping (for him!). I don't mind either way as long as I get some time relaxing in the sunshine (in my new bikini!) at some point.

B: cooked v breakfast (I have this down to a fine low cal art of under 300)

No idea about L and D atm but a) will be keeping them light if I can and b) will not be drinking!

I feel like I've had a pretty poor week calorie-wise (average 1337 cals/day) and have only lost .5lb but I'm ok with the odd week like this as long as I'm going in the right direction generally and can see the difference in my overall food choices, exercise levels, body shape, clothes and tape measure.

I'm in this for the long haul and I need some pit stops along the way.

Hope you both have a fab day!
