I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.

Sounds like a good eating day all round.

I ended on 1049 cals which included some sparkling brut stuff (basically Prosecco) that needed using up Grin

When I'm in the swing of no breakfast, a small lunch and a fairly normal dinner it feels like a breeze!

DottieLottie1 · 17/07/2019 09:42

Morning Smile

Working today so that instantly takes my mind off food!

B- Nothing this morning other than a cuppa with the tiniest splash of S/S milk, don't take sugar
L- Another cuppa, plus some berries and cherries 🍒, probably a soft drink of the zero variety l
D- 4 egg omelette with goats cheese, salami and mozzarella plus a large side salad with balsamic dressing
S- late evening if I need/crave some sweetness I'll have a couple of sugar free lemons sherbets at 10 cals each.

So not very calorific at all but adjusted today as I'll have a couple (or threeBlush) flutes of Prosecco this evening.

It will be around 900 cals today.

Seer · 17/07/2019 12:36

Do you generally have a Prosecco evening on Wednesdays @DottieLottie1 ? If so, that sounds like a good way to cut down on alcohol without feeling deprived!

I've been working and now in town having an eye test so not sure what the heck I'm doing foodwise. Dh is away so I could eat a light dinner tonight.

B: fast
L: might have a pasta lunch out
D: if so, I'll have stir fry veg and small portion of rice

How are you @TantricTwist ?

Seer · 17/07/2019 14:14

Decided to come home and had a beetroot burger and salad in a wholemeal pitta instead (325 cals). More calories than usual but less than if I'd eaten out!

Should still be good for 1k cals with a stir fry for dinner late Smile

DottieLottie1 · 17/07/2019 14:59

Yes @Seer and a cheeky one at the weekend Grin

TantricTwist · 17/07/2019 17:17

I’m fine I’m at work so just an apple for breakfast (a nice crunchy one left over from my last pack) my chicken cous cous for lunch. Am now having a coffee with 3 oat hob nobs as my sugar levels need topping up

I’m off tomorrow so will actually have some wine 🍷 tonight, I haven’t had any for ages due to my G&T craving. My day has been fine though no unusual stress.

No idea what I’ll be having for dinner yet.

Seer · 17/07/2019 19:44

I'm at 1082 cals (had dal, veg and rice instead of stir fry), I'm full but really fancy a spritzer esp given you two are drinking tonight!

Enjoy your wine @TantricTwist and your Prosecco @DottieLottie1 !

DottieLottie1 · 17/07/2019 20:17

We're obviously bad influences @Seer Grin

Good day for me. We have no dining facilities at work and no fridge or any way of heating food. We don't even have access to water- yes I know it's illegal but we are expected to bring our own or buy from vending. Although it's a rubbish situation it makes it easier not overeating at work!

Working for the next 3 days. Tomorrow's plan-

B- Vanilla and Almond milk shake

L- Another protein shake and raspberries

D- lemon and herb skinless chicken breast in pitta with lots of salad

Seer · 17/07/2019 20:29

You really are! I've decided I'm going to join you on the weekly wed party night from now on Grin

Seer · 17/07/2019 20:30

Sorry, it didn't post once and then it double posted. Does that mean double the wine for me...? Wink

DottieLottie1 · 17/07/2019 20:56

No, it means you've drunk too much already 😂

Seer · 18/07/2019 10:56

Feeling so happy today... the scales are up and down daily as usual (I don't take too much notice of that) but my waist and hip are deffo decreasing steadily. I've lost nearly an inch off my hips (which obv includes my tummy!) in the last 10 days!

I'm wearing a pair of size 12 jeggings that at the beginning of May I was honestly busting out off and my tummy looked huge in (hence needing to wear long tops) whereas now they actually fit properly with my tummy looking almost flat!

I'm so proud of myself for keeping going with this!

Plan today:

B: Olive ciabatta with basil, tomato and avo (was meant to have the morning off and thought I'd treat myself to breakfast tho now needing to do a client call at 11am )

L: either salad or my usual dumplings veg and miso soup

D: the stir fry I planned to have last night

Aiming for a 1k cal day again.

How are you @DottieLottie1 and @TantricTwist ?

DottieLottie1 · 18/07/2019 15:05

Well done @Seer you tummy sounds similar to mine! It was sticking out ponch like but shrinking steadily and hopefully will be flat in a few weeks.

Good so far today, and looking forward to my lemon and herb chicken pittas tonight.

Will be a minus 1000 today.

Think I'm having steak cooked on the bbq tomorrow.

TantricTwist · 18/07/2019 15:06

The Wine was good at the time, obvs, but felt groggy today which was a bit annoying esp as I only had 2 glasses. So will stick to G&T or fizzy lemon barley water from now on.

Oh @DottieLottie1 that sounds grim. Get one of those giant bottles that indicates how much water you should be drinking a day and at least that will hold it. I used to have to take a cooler bag to work with a couple of ice blocks in it as the fridge always tended to be full.

@Seer Grin definitely looks like you had too much to drink last night, I feel like I missed a party. I watched Love Island with DD Blush then went straight to bed.

I ate Tesco sausage and ham filled tortellini last night as it only takes 3 mins to cook and is quite delicious.

Today I've had a bowl of alpen followed by a wrap with ham, philadelphia, lettuce and mango chutney.

Seer · 18/07/2019 21:29

Thank you @DottieLottie1 ! The almost flat stomach makes it all worthwhile doesn't it?

You'll have to have gin when we party next @TantricTwist Grin

It's been a f*cker of a day in terms of rushing around everywhere but I'm happy to be ending on 1136 calories - this is despite finding myself at an unexpected bbq earlier!

I'm going to do some late kettlebells now (haven't had a moment all day) and then have a bath.

Hope you're both having a good evening.

TantricTwist · 18/07/2019 21:35

Cheers to that @Seer and @DottieLottie1

I’ve had a funny day of eating and felt tired all day. Not sure I have the energy to work out my cals

TantricTwist · 18/07/2019 21:52

1233 so not too bad actually, could have been better but my rare sweet tooth made an appearance

DottieLottie1 · 19/07/2019 07:36

Morning Smile

Plan today-

B: just a cuppa or two

L: Nothing as work through lunchtime so I don't get the opportunity, makes it relatively easy to go without. Not that this is ideal Blush

D: BBQ steak, chicken wings and a small amount of reduced fat chorizo sausage. Corn and salad.
However, weather is looking a bit grim so this might have to be achieved inside otherwise DH will be stuck under a brolly Grin

Most probably (more definitely) 2/3 glasses of Prosecco.

Around 1200 cals.

Tomorrow will be out normal takeaway, not sure of variety.

Sunday we are going out for dinner as a special occasion, not sure where but will save -up calories and try and choose wisely Wink

What are your plans?

ilovewelshrarebit123 · 19/07/2019 07:42

I'm in, I'm off for the 6 week school hols and need to go back to work much lighter than I am now!

I'm thinking weight watchers or is there something quicker? Good luck everyone Smile

DottieLottie1 · 19/07/2019 08:40

Hi @ilovewelshrarebit123 you need to have a look at your options and choose the diet plan that suits your lifestyle the best.

I've gone low calorie but I'm used to skipping meals anyway. I don't exceed 1200 calories through the week but it's normally closer to 1000. At weekends I will have a take away so I don't feel like I'm missing out. It's all about wise choices and portion control, nothings banned. I've lost 21lbs in 9 weeks, I'm inside a healthy BMI range but my fighting weight is another 25lbs to go. Hoping to get there by Oct but fingers x I will do the 2 stone in 12 weeks!

Good luckSmile

Seer · 19/07/2019 10:13

Morning!

Welcome @ilovewelshrarebit123 I'm similar to @DottieLottie1 (tho less disciplined - she's extraordinary!)

I was already doing the 16:8 (basically missing breakfast) most days and eating mainly whole foods (lots of veg, tofu, brown rice etc)... I was just eating too much and drinking too much wine!

So now I'm eating pretty similarly to before but sticking to an average of 1200 calories per day.

I've lost a stone since the beginning of May and have 5lb to go until my goal weight though it's probably more like a stone until my goal waist size of 29".

This is my first ever diet and the main thing that's surprised me is how enjoyable this process has been! I've fallen back in love with eating intuitively instead of mindlessly, my body and exercise again.

Plan for today... a much needed day off! Going for a mani/pedi shortly and then lunch out if I have time before the school pick up.

B: fasting
L: possibly pasta or katsu curry
D: Chinese takeaway

Including a couple of spritzers, it comes to a whopping 1336 cals (if I have pasta) but I'll aim to make that up across the weekend. I have a few calories to play with having had some 1k days in the week.

I was also down another half a pound this morning (since Sunday), I'm happy with any amount of weight loss so that's all good to me! Smile

How are you @TantricTwist ?

TantricTwist · 19/07/2019 13:21

I’m good @Seer I had to sit a test this morning which I passed so that’s all good. I celebrated with a coffee ☕️ and sourdough bread with tomato and spring onion very delicious. I had some alpen before the exam. I’m back home now.

Welcome @ilovewelshrarebit123 I’m finding the easiest way is to calorie control using MFP. I’m noticeably losing weight all over my body so my clothes fit better so I’m happy about that. And I’ll be carrying on till I go down a couple more sizes.

@DottieLottie1 the weathers a bit drizzly here and looks to stay like it so not sure what my plans will be. I might use it as an excuse to have a massive clear out now the DC have finally grown out of certain things.

TantricTwist · 19/07/2019 15:20

I've also had a chicken salad which leaves me with 486 calories to play around with later to total 1200.

So I can have a burger in no bun 159 cals, (I really want the bun (150) though with ketchup 20, mayo 22, mustard 10, lettuce and cheese 100) but just see how many extra calories the flipping bun and accoutrements adds up to. Although actually I'd still have 25 calories remaining if I did have all that I just wouldn't enjoy it as much. I would go for it though if it was a hot Saturday afternoon at a BBQ but not stuck indoors on a drizzly Friday night.

I'd like to stay under 1000 today so I'll give alcohol a miss too.

DottieLottie1 · 19/07/2019 19:31

@TantricTwist did you have that bun? I wouldn't say I'm extraordinary as it's taken me 4 years, I'm just in the zone!

So I've had 2 chicken wings, 4 inches of reduced fat chorizo sausage, 1 medallion steak and salad. Coupled with a few Prosecco's (😬😜) that's 998 for the day.

Takeaway tomorrow possibly KFC 😋

How's your day been @ilovewelshrarebit123 ?
