SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2019 09:53

That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

I also love Dr Kargs Emmental and pumpkin seed crackers.

Seer · 04/07/2019 08:26

I've kept meaning to ask @TantricTwist
or google what Finn Crisps are too, @DottieLottie1Grin

Busy day here with work and school stuff but hoping I can stay on the straight and narrow...

B: Fasting
L: tofu, Asian dumplings, mixed veg, stock/miso soup (a delish 250 cals)
D: vegan pizza on Magioni cauliflower base (600 cals)

Including drinks (mostly black coffee, tea with soya milk, water) it should be around a 1k cal day

I've found some body measurements I wrote down 5 years (I never weighed myself) and now, even nearly a stone down, I'm still just over 2" bigger everywhere!

So my goal now is to get back to those measurements!

So far I've lost an inch for every 4.3 lbs, so in theory, the 8lb I plan to lose would almost get me there but it would likely need to be more like 9lb-10lb... we'll see!

Having a lovely light day, all!

Seer · 04/07/2019 09:19

Also, how are you getting on @SmiledWithTheRisingSun ? I'm so pleased you started this thread, it's been a huge help to me!

TantricTwist · 04/07/2019 17:25

I finished work early today so had a lovely browse around the shops, haven't done that for ages. I bought things in Primark and Superdrug for DD and DS, like flip flops and hair things, so at least I had a mission. I looked in Space NK and loads of other places for me Grin.

Late breakfast - apple and 3 Polish Kabanos sausages from Sainsbury's which I love (I'm not Polish but I love their sausages)

L - Nothing yet as didn't have a lunch break as I finished at 2.

D - Salmon, mash and veg / salad.

I did briefly get hunger pangs last night after my very low cal day but I was too tired to do anthing about it.

DottieLottie1 · 04/07/2019 20:21

I'm going to finish the day on around 900 cals.

B- vanilla and almond shake (becoming a staple but might switch to weetabix)

L- Berries and almond milk hot choc

D- left over portion of last nights ratatouille and rice.

Seer · 04/07/2019 22:11

Been a long day here and it's my time of the month... succumbed to a spritzer when we finally got home and had dinner at 9.30pm

Still, only around 1100 cals so I'm ok with that.

Friends/clients keep saying I'm glowing, looking radiant etc so even tho no-one seems to have notice the weight loss (which I'm kind of pleased about!) I'm guessing they can see some positive change. Either that or it's just my tan Grin

How're you finding it being back at work @TantricTwist

I've got a day off tomorrow and have a massage booked - can't bloody wait!

TantricTwist · 04/07/2019 23:37

Well done both of you @Seer (enjoy your massage) & @DottieLottie1 (glad you like the ratatouille) with the low calorie count.

Enjoy your massage.

Love being back at work despite the long hours. I'm off tomorrow for 4 days so am planning on sorting out my front and back garden, although my legs finally gave in earlier so I may just rest a bit.

I finish on 1211 calories as I ate all of the above (previous post) then added 3 Kabanas sausages, 1 G&T and a drumstick lolly. So not too bad I think.

If had some ratatouille in the fridge I wouldnt have gone for the sausages although they are very small (the size of my index finger) an I had been eating ratatouille for what seemed like weeks. I'm ready to make some more again.

Seer · 05/07/2019 07:27

That sounds like one of those surprisingly low cal days @TantricTwist !

4 days off sounds like bliss - enjoy!

Feeling menstrually, groggy and tired and I have a busy afternoon/evening of complicated childcare of multiple children ahead... I sooo need this day off first.

B: Fasting
L: not sure yet as I might have lunch out
D: my usual Chinese takeaway and wine

Aiming for 1500 cals max but tbh I'm not going to worry if it takes more to get me through this day in one piece!

Seer · 05/07/2019 11:05

Total change of plans as realised I would struggle for time to have lunch out, so...

B: pitta, hummus, olives, salad (weird but really yummy!)
L: veg and tofu in miso (will aim to keep around 150 cals)
D: take away as before

TantricTwist · 05/07/2019 12:26

B - 4 egg omelette
L - nothing yet
D - steak and salad.

I love pitta, hummus and tomato for breakfast, lunch, snack anytime really. Although haven't had it for a while due to staying off bread.

I seem to want to eat less the busier I am although by the evening I can stray badly and just eat whatever comes my way.

This is something I need to address and make sure I have good food choices ready in the fridge.

DottieLottie1 · 05/07/2019 19:55

We'll get this, took the DC to a well known theme park today as it's a teacher training day. I abstained from every naughty Winktreat. Don't get me wrong it was quite difficult/salivating watching them devour a KFC!

Dinner will be steak, chorizo and potatoes. Well under calories again today, and I've walked miles, but won't count those!

TantricTwist · 05/07/2019 20:15

Oh yes I admire your restraint @DottieLottie1 Although my restraint would be more to do with the extortionate ££

Yes our dinner was steak, mash and corn on the cob, so yummy :)

I'm now sipping a G&T and am still under 1200 even if I have another which I'm sure I will.

DottieLottie1 · 05/07/2019 21:22

It's Friday @TantricTwist of course you should have another, especially if your still under 1200! Grin

TantricTwist · 05/07/2019 22:06

Well I've had another Grin plus some more Finn crisp with a tiny bit of St Agur that was left over and then some cheddar and chutney Hmm

That's it for now though, my tummy has swollen right up just from that little lot.

DottieLottie1 · 06/07/2019 08:46

Treat day for me so a take away tonight, probably fish n chips. I won't have anything for either breakfast or lunch so that will keep the calories down. Easy as I'm starting work shortly and work through lunchtime, I don't get breaks at work. By the time I'm in and sorted it's virtually dinner time.

Enjoy the weather everyone and keep it up, I know it's hard sometimes.

Seer · 06/07/2019 10:17

I ended up on rather more calories than planned yesterday (1900!) but I'm ok with that given what a busy, tiring week it's been and how low calorie (under 1k) all the other days were.

You're right @DottieLottie1 it isn't easy to keep going but we're doing SO well. The odd day of having what we want helps us to keep on track.

I'm not sure what I'll be eating today but I know it won't be a low cal day as we have family over and I want to relax and enjoy the day.

B: v BLT
L: something light/low cal like my usual miso soup with veg and tofu
D: BBQ or home-made pizza or similar, will be moderate rather than eating all I can!

Seer · 06/07/2019 10:20

And well done on your theme park abstinence @DottieLottie1

I hope you enjoyed your evening @TantricTwist I think we were both in indulgence mode last night! I ended up having four spritzers!

Enjoy the sunshine - I will mostly be lying around and soaking it up today!

TantricTwist · 06/07/2019 21:01

We walked for hours today enjoying the sunshine. This time I put some of my Mitchum deodorant on my inner thighs and no rubbing at all like last week (as advised on another thread on MN) Yay.

B - Alpen
L - Liptons Green Ice Tea
D - Sweet and sour Pork with rice at a Chinese restaurant followed later by Pistacio ice cream at a gelato place.

And now a G&T at home with my feet up.

Tomorrow we'll be at a BBQ so I'll stick to steak and salad stuff.

Seer · 07/07/2019 08:31

Despite over indulging for two days in a row... I've lost some more weight! I read the numbers wrong initially and thought I'd put on and then exclaimed out loud when I read it properly!

I'm SO pleased I kept going through that frustrating plateau!

I'm now less than half a pound off a whole stone lost Smile Then 6lb to go to my goal weight!

No idea what we're up to today so not sure what my food intake will be but probably something like:

B: v cooked breakfast (v sausage, mushrooms, beans etc)
L: will attempt to skip
D: no idea. Might eat out

Oh and yesterday I managed to skip lunch (yay!) though I then made up for it in delicious sparkling Pinot noir (yes, noir) calories!

How're you doing @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ?

Seer · 07/07/2019 08:52

That sounds like you were quite reserved at the restaurant @TantricTwist ! Are you finding you're getting used to eating smaller portions etc?

I've just started noticing that it's happening more and more naturally for me - eg Friday's takeaway, i felt full after eating about 80% when I used to eat all of it plus all of the mini spring rolls (I now give half of them to my children before I even sit down so I can't eat them all!)

Even when I was slim I used to eat massive portions so this is a huge change for me.

I'm also finding it much easier not to gorge on the snacks when we have visitors over - working towards having a slim healthy body seems more important than eating a handful of crisps... Most of the time anyway!

DottieLottie1 · 07/07/2019 09:42

Greet news @Seer 👍🏻

Yesterday I did indeed have my fish n chip supper. That was it so not too bad on calories.

Today I will probably avoid both breakfast and lunch as I've got a bottle of Prosecco that needs consuming BlushGrin. Honestly I have cut down, 2 bottles over a week. Dinner will be roast chicken wraps and copious amounts of salad.

I will go out for a walk with the hound at some point today but other than that it will be a relaxing one.

What are your plans for today everyone?

TantricTwist · 07/07/2019 11:13

@Seer Well done for breaking through that plateau of yours.

Yes we just had a set dish each and mine was a plate of sweet and sour pork with rice combined (my absolute favourite dish since I was a child).

It's the kind of place you can do that as well as the whole shebang.

Yes I'm finding I'm eating smaller portions and I'm not really snacking any more. I'm refraining from buying more Finn crisp as I seem to be snacking on those a lot lately.

@DottieLottie1 I love fish and chips. I had a bite of the DC fish and a couple of their chips last week from the chippy. I can't keep away from my gin at the moment. I'm usually a prosecco drinker but this hot weather is drawing me towards the gin. I bought slimline tonic by mistake (which I dont like much) so I'm adding a bit of pomegranate and elderflower cordial to it.

I'm off to a BBQ so will be taking it easy really and not drinking as I'll be driving.

Seer · 07/07/2019 11:18

I'm so proud of all of us Smile

Sounds wise about the mysterious Finn crisps @TantricTwist . It's handy having a go-to healthy snack but there's a point when you realise that's become another habit that's getting in the way of fat loss!

We're off to a Food Festival today - which is going to be interesting! Thinking I'll make my lunch there my main meal and then miss dinner later or make it a light one.

I managed to have a smaller cooked breakfast than usual without really missing anything so I'm off to a good start.

Seer · 07/07/2019 11:19

And thank you both of you for the congratulations!

@DottieLottie1 that's brilliant cutting down so much on the Prosecco! I'm guessing your health will benefit as well.

TantricTwist · 07/07/2019 19:49

No breakfast and for late lunch / BBQ once the drizzle cleared up had a steak, green salad and potato salad, tiny bit of ice cream and some strawberries.

No alcohol till now (just poured myself a G&T) although tried a sip of a V. low alcoholic Heineken which also happens to be low in calories.

Not a huge beer drinker so just tasted like normal beer to me.

Was given an unused ice cream maker so am planning various ice cream flavours for that. Will try out some low cal yoghurt ones once I know what I'm doing.
