SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2019 09:53

That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

I'm feeling a bit better about the plateau!

I read some great advice online about if you're weighing daily to plot your best day each week. I've just done that and I can see there's actually been a loss every week, albeit it's slowed down in the past few weeks hence seeming like it had stalled.

TantricTwist · 01/07/2019 22:38

That's such a good way of plotting it @Seer. I should start weighing myself soon.

I love how my tummy has gone right down and that I'm happy in my summer clothes. Still a way to go till I'm happy and maintaining but I am losing weight and not putting it on which is the main thing.

I've made my wrap for tomorrow.

I just couldn't be bothered to cook this evening after a long day at work so ordered in Pizza and ended up with a medium one for myself, ooops. So that's at least 2000 calories today.

I'm having salmon and salad tomorrow night though that's a definite.

DottieLottie1 · 02/07/2019 06:44

@seer, I've never tried heart of palms. Do you get them tinned?

Seer · 02/07/2019 09:10

It sounds like excellent progress @TantricTwist Are you reticent about starting to weigh yourself?

@DottieLottie1 yes, I get them in the tinned veg aisle in Waitrose but I'm guessing you can get them elsewhere. They're a bit like asparagus and artichokes

DottieLottie1 · 02/07/2019 10:29

Have just tried a powder based protein shake. Confused as it says 105 cals per serving but says it can be made up with water or skimmed milk- obviously the calories would then be different? I've added the milk calories in on top of the 105cals. No idea if this is correct? Confused

DottieLottie1 · 02/07/2019 10:29

At least I'll be doing myself out of calories if I'm wrong!

Seer · 02/07/2019 13:30

It sounds as though the calories are per serving of powder (without the milk) @DottieLottie1 but it could deffo be clearer!

My plan today:

B: fasting
L: massive mixed leaf and palm hearts salad (less than 100 cals!)
D: mixed veg & tofu stir fry with buckwheat noodles

Aiming to have sub-1000 calorie (and no alcohol) days until I start to see some decent weight loss happening again!

TantricTwist · 02/07/2019 22:44

I just don't want to get on the scales, not sure why really @Seer

@DottieLottie1 I thought those protein shakes were for putting on weight Confused like complan. They aer good though for having various nutrients etc

Late breakfast 10am - apple
Lunch - 1pm - wrap, pork, lettuce, mayo, sweet chilli sauce
Dinner - 20.30 - salmon fillet with salad, finn crisp and St Agur cheese ( just fell into my mouth a few times) 2 G&T's

TantricTwist · 02/07/2019 22:51

I alos don't have any scales which is a big reason not to be getting on them Grin

Seer · 02/07/2019 23:18

Aha, that makes sense then @TantricTwist ! Have you measured instead?

I'm pondering moving towards measuring instead of weighing at some point. I want to get my waist back to under 31" first and then review.

Seer · 02/07/2019 23:20

@TantricTwist I keep meaning to ask if your user name has any meaning? My job is v vaguely related to Tantra and I know lots of people in that 'field' Grin

Seer · 03/07/2019 07:40

Morning all!

My plan today:

B: fasting
L: my bulk-cooked veg and lentil stew (a filling 200 cals)
D: veg and lentil curry (totally different from the stew tho sounds the same!), brown rice, chapati and poppadom (600 cals)

Plus drinks and maybe a snack it'll be another day under 1k cals. Thankfully I'm not finding it a struggle so far and I'm pleased at how much nutrition I'm still able to pack in!

Seer · 03/07/2019 08:25

Just weighed myself and I've finally lost some weight!!!

Particularly meaningful as I'm due on this week and can feel the bloat.

I'm now 1lb away from a stone loss in total since the start of May Smile Hopefully my reward (the Daya Jewellery) will turn up just in time!

7lb to go to (what I feel is) my goal weight.

DottieLottie1 · 03/07/2019 09:37

Well done @Seer , not far to go, you deserve a treat (the jewellery)!

@TantricTwist, I've just made a ratatouille for tonight's dinner. DH is going to have some too. Thanks for the idea, which recipe do you use? I've followed one from BBC Good Food, the recipes on there are normally quite good.

TantricTwist · 03/07/2019 16:47

@Seer you are doing so well and thankfully helping us along in the process. No my MN name doesn't have any specific meaning although I am quite flexible Grin. I am going more on how my clothes fit.

@DottieLottie1 my ratatouille recipe is based on the Delia Smith one from her classic 'Complete cookery course book' which my DM gave me years ago. You might have to try it few times to get the veg how you like it although I'm happy if they stay in one piece or go too mushy I'm happy either way.

It goes really well with mash, boiled potatoes or rice esp if your DH wants something extra to go with it and also a pork chop.

Her goulash recipe is the one I follow as well, as well as her fish pie with the mash topping it's my DS favourite.

Today
B - Fast
Lunch - 2 chicken thighs, yoghurt and berries.
D - salmon and salad

Seer · 03/07/2019 17:19

Thank you @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 Smile

I genuinely don't think I would be doing this well without you to keep me going!

I've just got back from a busy couple of hours out and I was feeling ravenous (which is rare for this time of day). I've had a few cubes of some tofu (that I'd marinated and baked yesterday) and it seems to have done the trick. I've never thought of that as a snack before but as it's high in protein it's a good one!

I bought a couple of tops in the sale at H&M yesterday and it was so nice buying tops because I really liked them, not because they'd hide my stomach! Even though I've still got some weight to lose I'm feeling so much happier with my body now.

Every time I fancy eating something that's 'off-piste' I remember how it was to feel so uncomfortable with my big bloated stomach.

Good point, this is something I need to do more of @Seer

It's so nice buying a new top that fit's isn't it, as well as being able to wear them in this heat and not feel uncomfortable or like you want to cover yourself up.

TantricTwist · 03/07/2019 20:12

DottieLottie1 · 03/07/2019 20:34

My ratatouille was lovely! Thanks @TantricTwist.

I think we are all doing ok @seer, just keep the positivity up.

Good day for me-

B- Almond and Vanilla shake

L- Strawberries and Raspberries

D- Ratatouille 😉

And a bottle Blush of Prosecco- well I'm in the middle of it!

Still only 1000 calories though!

TantricTwist · 03/07/2019 22:31

Dinner turned out to be Finn crisp and hummus.

I didn't work today so wasn't ravenously hungry by the time I got home which also mean't I wasn't craving G&T Grin

So a total of 758 calories.

TantricTwist · 03/07/2019 22:33

Glad you liked it @DottieLottie1

DottieLottie1 · 03/07/2019 23:21

@TantricTwist , I keep meaning to ask what is a Finn Crisp? Should I know at the ripe old age of 41? Blush

DottieLottie1 · 03/07/2019 23:22

Just googled and realised it's a version of a Ryvita?!

TantricTwist · 04/07/2019 01:11

I love them @DottieLottie1 They're made of rye and sourdough and are delicious, my favourite crisp bread much nicer than ryvita.
