SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 12/05/2019 09:53

That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

Right, I'm back on it properly today! Back in work tomorrow so will find it easier yo stay on track.

I go on holiday in 7 weeks so if I keep going the way I have been doing, I will be another 7-14lb lighter by then which would be amazing Smile

Seer · 02/06/2019 11:32

Great news on all the losses! Smile

I ate such a lot last night (had an Indian take away at a friend's house) that I weighed 2lb more today - keep reminding myself it's not fat but food!

Still feeling very full this morning so whilst I did a full cooked breakfast for the rest of the family, I just had a vegan BLT. That in itself is a positive change, in the past I would have eaten the massive breakfast regardless of feeling full!

We're having a bbq later so I will plan out now what I can eat that will keep me below 1500 calories for the day.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday Smile

Seer · 02/06/2019 11:39

@MrsMozartMkII I do that too, though my longest regular route is from my studio to my kitchen - all of 20 paces!

I still try to get up and down regularly to do some stretches, potter in the garden, make a drink etc but it's nowhere near the amount of movement I used to do when I worked elsewhere.

I've tried to work standing up but I can't seem to create a set up that works well for what I do: 90 mins+ calls without a break, which I find is a long time to stand whilst needing to be very focused on the call rather than distracted by my feet aching!

saraandbub · 02/06/2019 12:33

The motivation here is amazing!

TantricTwist · 02/06/2019 12:43

I did ok yesterday and stayed under 1200.
No breakfast
Lunch - 2 chicken thighs with salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato)
Dinner - large bowl of spag bol with salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato)
Snack - a few Drumstick lollies

I didn't want to snack at all in the evening as the pasta kept me full which was my plan so although very high in calories it did keep my hunger at bay which was good because I couldnt sleep did ridiculously late 3am.

Seer · 02/06/2019 15:38

Nice one, @TantricTwist !

I've just had a Pimms but made with sparkling water and two blended prunes instead of lemonade (don't ask Grin) and it's still a zillion calories!

It's so new to me to look at calories, I always thought that was such a sad way of looking at food, but a) I now see how useful it is and b) how many flipping calories are in everything!! Shock

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 02/06/2019 15:54

Can I join please? Got a holiday in 3 weeks and need to lose my belly. Plus I'm maid of honour at my sisters wedding in 8 weeks and I found today did not fit in the dress she got me 😥 I need to lose at least 2 stone. Plan is exercise every day for at least 30 minutes and maybe early morning fasting diet with 1200 max calories.

Studentnursesos12e · 02/06/2019 22:47

Finishing today at 1,382 cals and 2 runs done

TantricTwist · 03/06/2019 01:29

Arrghh I finish today on around 2600 at least.

Never mind I'll sort myself back out again next week.

PumpkinPie2016 · 03/06/2019 06:47

Hi don'tgoSmile

I did ok yesterday and I am ready for work - my work clothes feel better than they did Smile not as tight!

I think it will be easier at work - less time to say plus I'm at teacher so on my feet a lot during the day Smile

Hoping to get to the gym tonight too or at least go for a walk/do some floor exercises.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 03/06/2019 07:50

Made myself a turkey salad today for lunch at work. Will be drinking alot of water today. Should make me feel less hungry.

Seer · 03/06/2019 09:37

I hope you have a good day back at school @PumpkinPie2016 !

I'd give myself a B+ over the half term, not too bad under the circs but hoping to do much better this week!

Started my day with a walk (dh usually walks the dogs first thing but he left too early today) and fasting instead of breakfast.

Lunch is Zero noodles, veg, tofu and miso soup.

Tacos for dinner but will only eat 1 wrap and will fill up mostly on the black beans, roast veg and brown rice.

I want to spend the school summer hols pretty much living in a bikini and feeling good in it!

PumpkinPie2016 · 03/06/2019 17:39

Thanks seer it was fine even though I didn't want to get up this morning!

don'tgo I find water definitely helps me feel less hungry - when I'm working I drink a lot more water than I do at home and it definitely helps.

I have finished under calories today but don't feel hungry, which is good, but I don't want to eat for the sake of it.

Seer · 03/06/2019 17:57

@PumpkinPie2016 when I have 'under calorie' days and I'm not hungry I tend to assume I've underestimated calories somewhere anyway, plus my Under days make up for my Over days at the weekend!

I've had a great day so far... 500 calories worth of lunch, snacks and drinks under my belt and now just dinner to go (which should be around 500 calories too).

I'm really hoping to see a loss this week as I feel it's stalled over the past few days.

TantricTwist · 03/06/2019 19:50

My body and mind are now over the mental block of revisiting the cross trainer, after many months years and I was on it again today for 7k around 20 mins. I'm so happy this is turning into a desire not a chore.
Calorie wise on track and cooked a great meal of rice, chicken and corn on the cob.
Wearing a summer dress, not impressed with my weight gain though (had to swap dresses initially) :(
Well done for keeping on track Pumpkin and @Seer although it will be a miracle if I ever wear a bikini again in public (on the beach I hasten to add not walking down my local high street)
Dontgo I love a chicken / turkey salad for a work lunch.

Seer · 04/06/2019 09:02

I'm finding my weight fluctuations challenging this week. I've just taken a look back at my previous Friday weight (which is likely to be my best day) over the past month and they do show a consistent if slow-ish loss:

3lb (first week)
2lb
1lb

Which I guess is a fairly typical steady weight loss pattern, right?

Hopefully I'll be down another 1lb this week (hard to tell if that'll happen atm as the scales are up and down every day!) and will feel it's all worthwhile.

I suppose if I wasn't eating more at weekends (1500+ calories) it would happen faster but that feels a bit sad. If I don't continue to see a loss I'll consider it though!

How are you all doing?

Seer · 04/06/2019 09:03

You're an inspiration @TantricTwist ! Sounds like you're well on the path now!

TantricTwist · 04/06/2019 12:45

Aww that's very kind of you @Seer but without you lot I wouldn't be sticking to any of this.
Soon I hope to be brave enough to actually get some scales to monitor my weight more closely in the future never going to happen
Right then back on the old cross trainer for a bit even it's only for 10 mins or 3K but hopefully more once I've started.

TantricTwist · 04/06/2019 14:51

I did 3K then stopped. Got back on after a few minutes because I wasnt feeling sweaty all over and I wanted to feel sweaty all over so I felt I'd actually achieved something so went up to 8K in the end about 20 mins.

Studentnursesos12e · 04/06/2019 21:21

And after 4 strict days of cc I’ve lost 2.7lbs.
Finishing today at 1245 cals and a run done. I unfortunately was running off 2 packets of sweets and felt the sugar crash 🤣 lesson learnt ✅

Seer · 04/06/2019 22:40

That's fantastic @TantricTwist and @Studentnursesos12e Smile

I'm still not moving enough apart from my dog walks - down to lack of time and also prioritisation. Trying to make sure I still fit in some squats etc and reminding myself anything is better than nothing.

Dinner went all wrong today... went to a friend's DD's party and ate my way thru copious nibbles, as I was feeling pretty hungry after a light lunch.

The day was only saved by my dh not fancying dinner by the time I got home so we both had a snack instead (oatcakes etc for me). So overall have still managed to out turn at a reasonable 1300 calories. Could be worse.

Seer · 04/06/2019 22:41

How're you getting on @PumpkinPie2016 @MrsMozartMkII and all?

TantricTwist · 04/06/2019 23:15

Well done @Studentnursesos12e you're doing so well which will make us all try harder to keep on top of things and I'm really trying my best.

Not doing too bad @Seer esp as I made a massive pot of my ratatouille again which does help with regards to healthy snack choice. Although it's giving me quite a lot of wind Blush Grin
I'm also drinking more tea than ever to distract from bad snacking choices.

I'm at 1302 cals on MFP (have stopped inputting exercise which -cals)
Alpen for breakfast.
Ratatouille, 1 chicken drumstick and a palm full of cous cous for lunch and dinner and a late supper.

Dessert of a couple of spoons of Haagen Daz Pralines and cream after dinner.

Studentnursesos12e · 05/06/2019 09:54

Thanks @Seer and @TantricTwist xx

Hope everyone’s doing okay 🙂

I need to reduce sugar and carbs a bit but for now I’m just being strict on calories.

TantricTwist · 05/06/2019 12:18

@Studentnursesos12e do you find you get more of a sweet tooth when dieting? I do hence my secret stash of Drumstick lollies. I never normally have a sweet tooth except when attempting to diet Confused
