That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

I'm doing pretty well this week and a pair of trousers I wear for work that were massively right before half term are now much looser Grin

Stuggled with feeling hungry earlier but doing ok now.

Seer · 05/06/2019 20:02

Yay @PumpkinPie2016 !

I'm so proud of us all Smile

It's been a good day here... I'm going to end on 1100 calories today. Halo

I'm starting to adapt to smaller portions and still feel satisfied.

I've also found I enjoy pomegranate juice mixed with sparkling water like a spritzer, which is less calories (only 18!) and alcohol than my beloved rose wine spritzers! This is like the Holy Grail for me!

We are doing sooo well Tennis

Studentnursesos12e · 05/06/2019 20:12

@TantricTwist yes!! i love stodgy food, crisps and takeaways normally. In fact I only ever eat sweets or lollies when dieting. So strange! I love the drumstick sweets and Parma violets when dieting 😂

1,210 cals today. Week 4 of c25k finished. Decent enough. I have the train back to Edinburgh tomorrow so going to have to avoid Greggs and Starbucks at the train station 🙃

TantricTwist · 05/06/2019 20:27

Pumpkinpie I love that when things start to feel looser although it's not happening here yet.

Seer I've just ordered some elderflower cordial to do the same thing.

Studentnurse Yes I'm a savoury fan usually too, it's the baguette and camembert I think that have caused all this for me.

Lots more chicken and veg today with mash and cous cous but much smaller portions of the carbs.
I have turned into an apple shape it would seem making all my clothes look not so great anymore. Which means I have to really stick to this diet. And I have today so all good. I even looked up online how to dress an apple shape on wikihow. God how I miss my pear shape now.

Seer · 05/06/2019 21:04

I'm so feeling you there re Apple shape @TantricTwist

I've always been fairly hourglass and when I 'suddenly' Hmm noticed how much weight I'd put on, it was the realisation that I'd basically lost my waist that really stung.

Now with just 8lb lost (and 2 inches on my waist) I'm feeling less round and apple-y. Hopefully you will soon too.

I've just had a Thai veg curry, brown rice & a spring roll for dinner which was delicious. I would have previously eaten double... probably a mound of rice (I really love rice!), seconds of the curry and at least two spring rolls.

I realised that if I can just wait a few minutes after finishing my meal that I feel perfectly full and don't need more. This is such a revelation to me!

PumpkinPie2016 · 06/06/2019 06:31

I weighed myself this morning and I am another 2lb down Grin

So, that's 8lb in total. Happy with thatGrin

Yesterday was hard for some reason but I am determined to keep going. Only 6 weeks until my holiday now.

Seer · 06/06/2019 09:49

I think I've lost another pound! It's hard to be sure with the daily fluctuations but looking at the my weight averaged by the week, it seems that way!

I'm ridiculously relieved because it felt like nothing was happening!

That's nearly 9lb down now... another 9 to go! I'm halfway Smile

Seer · 06/06/2019 09:53

Brilliant @PumpkinPie2016 !!!

TantricTwist · 06/06/2019 11:33

You're both doing so well.

I've just eaten 4 chicken drumsticks for breakfast which is a bit random but I just couldn't help myself, but better than 2 slices of toast with butter that's for sure.

I stayed on target yesterday of 1200 and that included a cadburys pot of joy, which I never usually eat as they are for the DC but they are very small and I ate it very slowly.
I'm meant to be going out early tonight but it would involve lots of alcohol and some random food in pub as it's a celebration with friends.

I feel self conscious about my weight, not that anyone will care re my current size although I haven't seen a few since 3 months ago when I started to put on a lot of this weight, I'd say a stone at least and it shows. However a girl's got to have fun right even I only stay a while to show my face and have a catch up than more of a piss up.

Seer · 06/06/2019 14:27

Bless you @TantricTwist I hope you manage to have a great time! You're doing so well and we all need to have fun now and then!

I'm so realising how bloody simple my 'triggers' for weight gain are the more I become aware of what I'm eating now. It's pretty much down to processed food (eg chips and crisps when people are over, white pasta etc). I suspect even my big portion sizes would be ok for maintenance if I wasn't also eating as much processed stuff as I was before.

When I calculate my food for the day based on mostly whole food, it's hard to get above 1200 cals!

B: fasted
L: Baked potato with Thai veg curry (I'm stuffed!) and 1oz dark chocolate
D: whole wheat spaghetti with cashew cream, asparagus and mushroom

With multiple cups of tea and a planned pomegranate spritzer I'm only at 900 calories.

Seer · 07/06/2019 09:21

Morning all!

Feeling so motivated today! Although I weigh myself daily atm, my 'official' weighing in day is Friday and that clearly shows a pound loss from last week. Smile

I feel like I've got the food/drink bit nailed... now for getting the movement part sorted. Especially in a fasted state (which is apparently great for burning body fat).

I want to find something I can fit in every morning that isn't going to take too long (I don't have much time in the mornings).

How're you all doing?

@MrsMozartMkII all good there?

TantricTwist · 07/06/2019 10:28

Morning :) Yes so I had a lovely time last night, just had a few drinks, burger, coleslaw and chips. No idea how many calories I had but I only ate a 3rd of the bun and gave half my chips away.

@Seer you could walk up and down the stairs till you build up a sweat or just walk up and down the corridor / landing and then do sets of star jumps and squats for between the walking.

or skipping? or jumping up and down on a mini trampoline.

Seer · 09/06/2019 09:43

Hello all!

@TantricTwist those are great ideas for some quick exercise, I've been trying to do more in the mornings but still not quite in the groove.

I ate like a horse yesterday - 2400 calories! - but it was scarily similar to what I regularly 'before'.

Most of the extra cals cals from popcorn (641 for a medium!), I still can't understand how it can be so calorie dense! I want to learn to say No to the upgrade from the small I originally asked for.

Bizarrely, this morning the scales showed a slight loss Confused

Seer · 09/06/2019 15:00

Looks like I'll easily stick to 1200 cals today which is less than my usual weekend allowance of 1500, so that'll balance yesterday's feasting out a bit Grin

Going forward, I'll try making Fri and Sat my 1500 days as I find it a struggle to stay under 1200 on Fridays as we tend to have a takeaway and a couple of drinks.

TantricTwist · 09/06/2019 16:40

Oh dear so Friday and Saturday were a right off both alcohol related which makes for very bad food decisions.
Today is better though. Am being very strict.

Seer · 09/06/2019 17:18

Every day is a new day, @TantricTwist Hope you have a virtuous one today Smile

I'm pleased with my consumption so far today... I'm up to 1064 calories so far and feeling satisfied, so will have a small snack and a drink this evening at most.

Seer · 09/06/2019 17:49

In movement news... I've rediscovered my dusty old weighted hoop! Had a 6 minute session with it earlier which was fairly easy though I'd forgotten how much it rams into your guts with very little grace Confused

TantricTwist · 09/06/2019 18:33

Ooo a weighted hoop how many spins before it dropped. Just been eating chicken and veg all day with a couple of spoons of Haagen Dazs pralines and cream. Have been spring cleaning as an attempt to burn calories but breaking much of s sweat though.

Seer · 10/06/2019 08:37

@TantricTwist for some reason I find hooping easy (might have something to do with my my 'womanly hips' Grin) so I can keep it up pretty much until I get tired/feel too beaten up!

I've just realised the flaw in my plan tho... it's raining hard today and I think I'm going to struggle to do it in the house without smashing the house up. Will investigate...

In other news... I'm slightly down on the scales again today, which is a good start to the week Smile

I find the graph fascinating... up and down all the time tho the trend is, thankfully, downwards. I'm starting not to mind the times it goes up because it seems to mean it'll then go down further the next time.

12 weeks to lose 2 stone
TantricTwist · 10/06/2019 09:33

@Seer Your graph looks motivational esp as it is tracking downwards. I went on my friends trampoline the other day with some other friends of mine after a few gins so burned off a few calories there Grin
I made an omelette last night with the rest of my mushroom concoction which tasted yummy esp with sweet chilli sauce which goes very well with eggs. I had the rest for breakfast today.
I need to force myself to go on the cross trainer again today.

TantricTwist · 10/06/2019 18:24

So 5K on the elliptical completed, not much really but worked up a sweat all over then stopped. I feel like I should push myself more but don't want to get fed up with it. I want to do 5K as often as possible so it's a nice easy regular 10-15 min worth of something and work up to 10K if I feel in the mood for it.
Yesterday I was under 1000 cals and so far today doing well.

Seer · 10/06/2019 21:17

That's brilliant @TantricTwist ! You're deffo on a roll

It's been a busy/challenging day here (trying not to out myself here but imagine trying to out-manoeuvre a shit-hot lawyer and have them feel good about it Confused ) ... but I'm happy to end on 1200 cals even with some snacks and a glass of champagne - and I fit some hooping in.

We're doing so well Smile

TantricTwist · 10/06/2019 22:35

We are thanks to this thread, it's keeping me going @Seer
Well done on your out-manoeuvering and hooping.

Studentnursesos12e · 10/06/2019 23:15

Had a couple of bad days but had a word with myself last night, then ran at 11pm 🤣

Finishing on 1,007 calories and somehow did 4 c25k runs in one day 🙃 well and truly back on track

Also started supplementing some vitamins as felt a bit off

TantricTwist · 11/06/2019 00:50

@Studentnursesos12e 4 of them, your poor legs bet you slept well that night though Grin. I love knowing we can always get back on track after a couple of off days. I make sure I at least have enjoyed every morsel to make it worth it.
