Weighed in this morning at 56.2 which is slightly above what i was all last week.

My goal for Feb is again a moderate 1 kg. I am hoping to end the month in the 55s rather than 56s.

The plan is to walk more, make healthier food choices and this month I am going to take the big step of giving up my Red Bull addiction.

I dont like coffee so have ended up with what I know is an addiction and isnt good for me. I may need a lot of ass kicking if i fall back into it.

Tomorrow shall be day one of my Red Bull free life.

Happy New thread everyone. And thanks autumn. Good luck on kicking the red bull. I tried giving up caffeine a few years ago. It was brutal. I've gave up alcohol 5 years ago and I've gone sugar free in the past but neither was a patch on caffeine withdrawal Blush

Hope that's not too negative. My tips would be to always replace every drink with water or similar so you don't get dehydrated because it adds to the headache. And also wean yourself off over a couple of weeks.

I went from 12 cups of strong tea (I'd use 2 tea bags per cup sometimes) to nothing. I failed. I then cut it down by a few cups a week. I now have 2 a day.

Good luck Star

AutumnNymph · 01/03/2019 18:18

@KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse that’s very sensible advise - i May get a bottle of Boost or similar so rather than a whole can when I wake up I can cut down the amount over a week.

I did go red bull free for a few months last year but got back on it again when stress at work hit - maybe I should suck it up and have coffee in the morning like a normal person.

I am also PMSIng and feeling snappy and bitchy already so DH and DD better watch themselves this weekend 😂

Good luck autumn Wine (not Red Bull)

So I weighed in this morning at 11 0.2 so down a lb since yesterday Shock. The fasting really is working. I can see my face looks less puffy too and my eyes look better. This happened last time I quit sugar too. I wish I could keep it up forever but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I'll keep going on this wagon for as long as I can.

So my first target is to get into the 10s again. I'm hoping I'll get there tomorrow. I'll keep fasting as I have been until I hit 10 10 and then review it. If I can get there by the end of March I'll be delighted.

I've got a big weekend away mid-month and I've got no intention of fasting then. Hoping the rest of the month will be golden enough to make up for it Halo

Good luck everyone.

Huggybear16 · 01/03/2019 22:03

Thanks Autumn and well done on your loss for the month!

Glad to see the fasting is working well for you Kick

Not sure how much I weigh right now. My disaster day yesterday put me off trying the scales this morning! My usual day is Monday, so I'll report back with my number then.

I have a kids birthday party on Sunday - adults and children are all being fed - so I'm going for an angelic day tomorrow. Having 2 bad days out of the 4 before weigh in isn't ideal, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Here's to a slimmer March (hopefully).

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 01/03/2019 22:09

Any room for a newcomer please? :o

I lost 7st through just being a bit healthier and joining SW but have got fed up after finding it hard to maintain my target so quit and now I'm 1st 5lbs heavier again Blush

I'm buying myself a set of sales tomorrow to give me incentive at home, my aim is 11st 4(ish) and I was 12st 4 on work scales so a stone to go. Hoping to just eat less and move more, also tempted to do 16:8 fasting even part of the week but worry because I'm a binge eater.

AutumnNymph · 01/03/2019 22:22

@NotMyUsualTopBilling welcome! Getting scales is a great start to keeping track of your weight and being accountable.

Good job on your 7 stone loss - that’s inspiring ! Now that you have done it once you know it’s doable - you just need to keep at it.

I am a binge eater too but I found that if my fasting window was at night which is when I tended to Binge on unhealthy stuff - it worked very well for me

Thanks Aurumn for the new thread.

Start for March is 12st 2 lbs and I am aiming fo 4-5 lbs in March. Will be continuing with 5:2 and I really need to get moving and do some exercise as I am unfit and have quite low energy levels.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/03/2019 07:14

Morning! Thanks for the new thread Autumn!

I lost 4lbs in February, so my start weight for the month is 8st 6lbs. I’m now at the top end of my target range, so my goal for March is to lose maybe another couple of lbs, or in any case maintain my current weight. I also want to try to exercise more. I’m already off to a bad start though because I’m working today so have to miss my usual Saturday morning bodypump class, boo!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 02/03/2019 07:27

NotMyUsual wow well done on such an incredible achievement. Star

I actually struggle with maintenance more than losing. I know how to lose weight now but I'd really like to just get to a healthy weight and stay there without having to worry about it. That never seems to happen Sad

I think it's because my lifestyle and eating style (and probably my genetics) combined would naturally have me much heavier. So whenever I take my eye off the ball I end up gaining again.

I think the best thing I could do is to give up my stressful sedentary job and become a gardener or a postie Grin. I'd probably get paid more too. Not sure my bad back would take it though.

I've found 16:8 helpful just to give me some structure but I've only been doing it properly for just over a week so it's too early to say whether it's sustainable. I'm also a bit of a binger when I'm stressed or hormonal and I haven't struggled this week but I think it depends what your triggers are.

Good luck and welcome to the thread Flowers

Hoolahoophop · 02/03/2019 08:12

Thanks for the new thread Autumn.

Well done on the Feb losses.

I've been enjoying reading the fasting discussion. It's definitely something I could consider. As it is I usually have lunch around 2 and have been eating grapefruit for breakfast so doable probably.

I've not weighed in today yet, but yesterday was down 3.4 lb on Monday, and only climbed on the waggon Monday, pleased with that. But 4 birthdays and 2 holidays in the next 6 weeks are going to take all my will power to stay on track!

@KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse

You're in the 10's!!! Star

AutumnNymph · 02/03/2019 10:44

@KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse Happy dance for you ! Well done !!

Am still hormonal and weight is slowly sneaking in though I am not really over eating - am hoping it’s all fluid and I will see a whoosh when my periods kick in!

Have a happy weekend everyone ! We are going out for lunch but to a healthyish place and then have an extremely lazy at home weekend planned. I need to get some work stuff done ronset myself up for next week where I am Short staffed and know I will have to put in extra time.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 02/03/2019 15:54

It was lovely to see it start with a 10 this morning but I am easing off a bit today. I've lost 6lb in 8 days and I felt weirdly light headed this morning. I still didn't feel that hungry but I decided to have some porridge at 11.00 because I was feeling a bit weak and fuzzy headed.

I'm going out for a meal tomorrow too so I may well regain weight this weekend but I'll be back on it from Monday to lose another 3lb.

I never thought I'd worry about losing too much weight in a week Grin

Huggybear16 · 02/03/2019 18:32

I'm also having a pretty full on weekend (food wise). 2 meals out plus a kids party tomorrow. There was also my disaster day a couple of days ago, so I'm not hopeful for a good number on the scales on Monday.

I have nothing on next week though, so I have no excuses. I will need a kick from you guys on Monday to get me back on the wagon and keep me on track. Next week I need to be golden for all 7 days to make up for this very indulgent week. I know I'll see a gain on Monday, but I can't use this as an excuse to give up!

You guys are doing great though! Glad to see your losses. Star Gives me hope...

Huggybear16 · 02/03/2019 20:00

HOWEVER, on a more positive note:

  1. I did 19,200 steps today
  2. I have been smoke free for 14 days

So this week hasn't been that bad.

lastqueenofscotland · 03/03/2019 05:11

I need to stop dropping off these threads as o have been doing for two years now Blush weigh I. Tomorrow and a fresh start and I’ll be here every day

goingonabearhunt1 · 03/03/2019 09:52

ILs here so lots of eating out but I have been choosing the least bad things on the menus and limiting the wine Grin also steps have been good and I haven't been eating in the mornings or snacking so hopefully calories have balanced out. Managed to swim on my lunch break on Friday so might try and do that 1/2 times a week from now on. Feeling in control of it atm but I'm determined not to get complacent as has happened before.

AutumnNymph · 03/03/2019 10:51

Morning all! Still hormonal (this year month - my PMS has been going on for ever!!) and though I am eating well and drinking lots of fluids the scale shows gain. I am guessing the back to back bouts of bronchitis and then stomach flu I had a few weeks ago have messed with my cycle - I do feel awfully bloated so am not surprised the scales show a gain.

I am just going to stick with the good eating and hope when my periods do kick in - I will see a whoosh. I was planning to go for a long walk today but feel knackered as I didnt sleep well (again!!!)

Whats everyone having for lunch?

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 03/03/2019 12:02

Huggy massive well done on the smoking. A huge achievement. StarFlowers

I had a bit of a bounce back to 11 0.8 this morning but that's no bad thing. I'm going out for a meal tonight but will be back on the fasting from tomorrow.

I've had nothing but hot water since 7pm last night and I'm not feeling too hungry now.

Autumn I'm having chicken and salad for lunch. Just leftovers. I've got soup to take to work this week so that should keep me on the straight and narrow Grin

I'm hoping to get out for a walk later if the rain stops.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 03/03/2019 13:15

Hoping that it passes with a whoosh soon Autumn, nothing worse than that bloated feeling.

I bought my scales yesterday, 12st 4.5. I'm convinced they're lying haha

Just trying to make healthier choices and just eat when I'm hungry to see how that goes. Fed up with plans and diets just now.

wheresmyhairytoe · 03/03/2019 19:42

Hi, hope I can join?

I'm 11 stone 2, hoping to get down to 10 stone 5 as a start.
I'm the heaviest I've ever been bar pregnancy, I saw a photo of me at DD's party and felt sick!

Have installed My Fitness Planner and am upping the exercise.
