Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Off to Rhodes for a week - all inclusive (my first ever one!) with a private hot tub. Some MNetters idea of hell but I'm so looking forward to it Grin aw that trip sounds lovely! Where are you off in June?

recklessgran · 02/03/2019 10:09

Ooh you'll love it @Tinsel. Adore the Greek Islands. We are off to Crete in June - go every year, completely in love with it. DD's tease us as they are widely travelled and don't understand why we keep going back to one Greek Island or another.
How's the diet going?

TinselAndKnickers · 02/03/2019 10:31

It's my first time in Greece! Can't wait. The diet is going well - still been eating naughty bits but all within limits! How about you?

recklessgran · 02/03/2019 11:14

Yes, very determined still. I had the chicken salad yesterday as planned but then ate a ripple [175 cals] in the evening when DH got the chocolate box out.Still made my calories for the day just under 1200 so not too bad I guess.
[The ripple was a direct result of a bitchy comment made by my mother last night about my weight.Long story.....]
Still 13 st 7 lbs this morning. I know it's against advice but I weigh daily which helps me I think.
DH has been decorating and doing a little refurb in the bathroojm so I'm going up there to give it a thorough clean and put out the new towels, sort out the medicine cabinet etc today.
Then I'm sorting out all the clutter that's stored under our bed.
That should keep me busy and keep my mind off food for today.

TinselAndKnickers · 02/03/2019 11:30

That sounds good! Should burn a lot of calories too Grin I'm going out for a friend's birthday tonight will definitely be consuming lots of liquid calories!

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/03/2019 17:50

I feel like my appetite has shrunk since coming off ADs which is good. Defo don't feel as hungry all the time. Just need to redo some of my bad habits!

TinselAndKnickers · 03/03/2019 09:06

That's good - congrats! My ADs were a bastard for snacking, and the mini pill is. But I quite enjoy having no Aunt Flo Grin

My head is very sore today - not sure I can even stomach anything!

recklessgran · 03/03/2019 10:34

@YouBoggle so good that you have got yourself off the ADs - that was very brave. @Tinsel sorry about your hangover but hope you had a good night out.
DH and I went out for afternoon tea yesterday as he wanted to use a voucher DD's bought him for Father's Day last year. I gave him all the desserts and only had sandwiches and a scone with butter. Guess that wasn't too bad. I had chicken and salad for dinner.

TinselAndKnickers · 03/03/2019 10:54

That sounds lovely! Great willpower Grin I am feeling much better now thank you. I am craving a Nando's which I may have later... however I will make my usual good choices of having veg instead of carbs Smile unsure yet!

TinselAndKnickers · 04/03/2019 11:28

Morning all - how's it going? Yesterday I went slightly over my calories by 150, so not great but this week I'm booked onto 3 aqua classes Grin

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/03/2019 16:53

Hi ladies, a good day so far here. I figured if I can manage one good day then what's the point! I want to continue doing well.

TinselAndKnickers · 04/03/2019 18:25

I'm annoyed at all of these spam bots!! Piss off Grin

Well done Boggle that's great! I'm doing 3 aqua classes this week and I've decreased my calories by 200 a day to try and kick start it, as of tomorrow!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/03/2019 18:39

I've reported them as spam.

If I can't* manage one good day! Not can!

Got a banging headache this evening 😔

TinselAndKnickers · 04/03/2019 18:55

Oh dear, drink plenty of water and get a tablet or two down you!! What's everyone up to these days, I'm having interviews to try and find a uni placement and also just working Grin

recklessgran · 04/03/2019 19:09

Evening all. Doing O.K. I think but ate 3 digestive biscuits by way of mindless snacking this afternoon. I am having chicken salad for dinner in a minute and will jazz it up with a bit of Branston as I've run out of coleslaw.
Weight is staying the same but still on the downward trend. Hoping for a loss this week so will need to be extra good for the next couple of days.
Work is madly busy so a lot of sitting down at my desk.

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/03/2019 19:14

Currently SAHM to DS. I will prolly find a little stress free job later this year but making up for lost time from last year at the moment.

TinselAndKnickers · 04/03/2019 21:53

Sounds good though reckless! How are you doing calorie wise? Is the 800 treating you well?! Grin

That's lovely Boggle so glad he is doing better now Thanks

TinselAndKnickers · 04/03/2019 22:04

Someone stole my towel at the gym so I am feeling very annoyed and don't want to go back Grin have just made a thread about it. Crap customer service!

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/03/2019 00:16

Who steals another persons towel at the gym??? That's so weird!!

recklessgran · 05/03/2019 01:00

@Tinsel - Holy Jesus is nothing sacred? That is outrageous but well done for actually going to the gym in the first place! I do think the 800 calories is probably the only way that I'm going to lose any weight to be honest. If I exceed that allowance even if by a couple of hundred calories my weight stays the same. I put it down to my inactive lifestyle so probably don't need that many calories to stay alive?
@Boggle enjoy your little one while you can - I really miss those days now even though it could be stressful with five little girls!

TinselAndKnickers · 05/03/2019 01:12

I know! He waited for me to be away from it and swiped it. Perv!

Oh that's good then, I'm slowly lowering mine to try and shrink my appetite and I'm back on the fasting window periods as of tomorrow! I'm desperate Grin

Novae · 05/03/2019 01:18

I have no will power! That's why any diet is extremely hard for me... But anyway I'll try again!

recklessgran · 05/03/2019 09:01

Blimey @Tinsel so you know who nicked it?
@Novae don't worry you can do this - one day at a time. I am so pleased because as a result of this friendly and non judgmental thread and the support here I am doing much better than I have ever done before. I have learnt that even if I don't stick rigidly to the plan my perseverance is definitely paying off. It's trial and error and took me over a month to find out what works for me., I started off low carbing but couldn't stick to it so now I'm calorie counting which seems to be much better for me. Have a good day everyone will check back later.
