You must have amazing willpower!

Opheliasgoldenwine · 26/07/2018 11:45

yeah, I do Grin

itsBritneyBeach · 26/07/2018 11:47

Grin you sod!

Opheliasgoldenwine · 26/07/2018 11:53

I did only eat half the bag Blush

happytobemrsg · 26/07/2018 17:25

Wow 😳 how are you not eating EVERYTHING?? I'd find that so tough!!

So bloody hot. It's helping my diet because I can't be arsed to make anything to eat. Our kitchen is full of dirt, dust & tools (we have builders in) so I'm gradually working my way around my family's houses getting them to feed me & DS Grin meant I ate a M&S hot cross bun though - not so good

happytobemrsg · 26/07/2018 17:31

Can I eat a grab bag of flaming hot monster munch for dinner? I'd still be under my calories

Opheliasgoldenwine · 26/07/2018 18:40

Happy if it's under your calories and salt for the day, I don't see why not.

happytobemrsg · 26/07/2018 19:05

It takes me over my carb goal Sad I just really can't be arsed tonight

Opheliasgoldenwine · 26/07/2018 22:26

I've only JUST managed to stay within my calories today, damn you prosecco Angry

itsBritneyBeach · 26/07/2018 22:49

Ethiopianflower · 27/07/2018 08:17

THat sounds like a great evening Britney. Enjoy!!!! Can anyone explain what might be happening. Was v good all week - in and around 1200 calories per day and ran 6k every day. Expected a 2lb loss but instead scales have said I have gone up a quarter of a pound. I know the scales is not the full picture but it is SO demotivating!!! F**k this lark and pass me the chocolate 🍫!!!!!

Shedders · 27/07/2018 08:26

I know this feeling so well. It’s horrible when u have worked hard and don’t see the results. I feel the same. Had a little cheeky weigh yesterday even though I said I wouldn’t and haven’t moved. I can only put it down to the heat. Upping exercise. Etc. Just keep going x

Ethiopianflower · 27/07/2018 08:29

Thanks shedders - I am going to put my scales on the naughty step - it can stay there forever as far as I’m concerned!!!!

DaisyChops · 27/07/2018 09:41

EF I am exactly the same as you! I am trying to exercise as much as I can and I've lost hardly any weight but I know if I was dieting with no exercise I would have lost loads more weight! It's just wrong and so demotivating!!!! I lost 6.5lb doing SW last year in the 1st two weeks and I'm barely on 2lbs this time, I think I'm looking at 6 weeks for it to kick in!!!

Shedders · 27/07/2018 09:59

It really makes u think stuff it doesn’t it. But I do feel slimmer so I think something is happening even if the scales aren’t showing. So will keep going. Fingers crossed we are going in the right direction even if the scales aren’t xxx

Opheliasgoldenwine · 27/07/2018 10:32

The thing is, this is a lifestyle change. If you dieted in a strict low carb/sugar or whatever diet, as soon as you eat normally, it'd all go straight back on. With the exercising, that's a healthy lifestyle change that can be maintained, so it'll start slower but it will work, but it'll take longer, if that makes any sense?

itsBritneyBeach · 27/07/2018 10:39

Don't be demotivated everyone! Change takes times and our body weight fluctuates all the time. Keep it up and I promise you'll feel better in time as you change bad habits for a healthier lifestyle. Keep dreaming of the finish line Grin

Everyone say at least one thing that's motivating them to lose weight. I'll start:

I'd like to be able to take a full body picture of myself and not feel like crying, and be able to post pictures or show people of myself without feeling ashamed! I'd also like to feel comfortable when I go on holiday in September, and all the events at Christmas Star

Opheliasgoldenwine · 27/07/2018 10:41

For me, one thing that motivates me is the fact that I want to be able to run around after DD when she's a toddler and not feel like I'm dying etc. It's also when I saw a picture of me taken; I cried, I'd never been so fat.

DaisyChops · 27/07/2018 10:43

It's hard to stick with it when you don't see the results, I can feel myself slowly having more chocolate again, and I know if I was seeing it on the scales it would spur me on.
I even checked my fat % this morning but that hasn't altered at all Sad

The weather is horrendous, I made the hairy dieters spag bol yesterday and i was chopping onions, courgettes etc for ages and I could just feel my feet swelling in the heat of the kitchen, it's gross! Meal wasn't even anything special after all that effort!!!

Shedders · 27/07/2018 10:43

Not regaining 6 stone is a motivation for me.

DaisyChops · 27/07/2018 10:48

Good idea Britney, the thing that motivates me is all the clothes in my wardrobe I don't fit into. There are size 10 clothes in there and I look at them now and think, was I really a size 10...and why on earth didn't I just buy a 12 as they would be easier to get back into!!!

I think my problem is that I don't have an occasion or a holiday to aim towards, but hey ho, maybe next year....

itsBritneyBeach · 27/07/2018 10:49

@DaisyChops weight isn't everything. My friend weighs 12.5 stone, 5"4 and is a size 8.
I know it's hard but try to ignore it? Overall we want to LOOK better and FEEL better, the numbers will change in time. Imagine how good it will feel stepping on the scale after a month of really trying with healthy eating and seeing a HUGE drop, potentially 6lb- 8lb or more? I'm not weighing myself regularly as I know the numbers won't help me. We've got this! You can do it! And chocolate only as a treat 😉

DaisyChops · 27/07/2018 10:50

Shedders you have done amazing, how much do you still want to lose?
