I have not weighed myself for two weeks and have no intention of doing so for at least another two weeks

Well done to coppertop

Kewcumber · 20/05/2007 20:43

I love cheese and onion pasties - I could live on them given half a chance

Kewcumber · 20/05/2007 20:44

bloody hell lost my bleedin profile again

JackieNo · 20/05/2007 20:45

No you haven't - it's there. So - you've changed. I like the new name.

I quite like sausage rolls, can definitely take or leave pasties and such like. But offer me chocolate, or fresh bread and butter and I'm helpless.

Hi guys, just wanted to say hi as you were all so nice a few weeks ago when I had my panic about the airplane seatbelt not fitting...

Have just come back from a FANTASTIC weekend in Dublin, and the airplane seatbelt DID fit, with 2 inches to spare even!! Am thrilled. The rest of me struggled in the seat, but that has a lot to do with being 6ft1 tall!

Am still doing the Paul McKenna weightloss system, and weigh myself every 3 weeks or so, and will also keep on dipping into this thread if I may.

Like the new name Sue, makes me

Right, am off to catch up on all I have missed.

JackieNo · 21/05/2007 12:01

Hi there Hippipotami - glad you had a good trip.

It's brightened up my day no end, that. I'm at home today with DD who's got a horrible cough - if all the books didn't say they grow out of it at age 2 I'd say it was croup - she really does sound like a seal barking. I had to sleep on her floor on a folded over duvet last night, and was up with her 2 or 3 times the previous night, so am a bit the worse for wear.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 21/05/2007 15:46

oh I get that coughs like that Jackie - you never grow out of them.

JackieNo · 21/05/2007 15:48

She's pretty cheerful during the day - it's just at night, she was getting a bit scared, I think, and starting to have trouble breathing, so we just sat her in the posh shower with the steam function, and that seemed to calm things down. It's been wall-to-wall CBBC today though. And she was really sad not to be able to go to school, which is sweet, and I'm sure won't last.

obviouslylots of hpot drinks (stating the obvious) but also stuff to suck in between (not cough sweets) I found that my cough was so bad that it inflamed my throat and I would cough becase my throat was sore. A doctor recommended boiled sweets (hell on the teeth I know) to suck and they did really help.

JackieNo · 21/05/2007 20:07

Thanks - yes, lots of hot blackcurrant, and we have some glycerin and blackcurrant sweets that seem to work. She's dosed up now, and in bed, so we'll see what tonight brings.

Kewcumber · 22/05/2007 09:24

how was DD Jackie?

EllieG · 22/05/2007 11:20

Am doing rubbishly this week. A dear friend's wife died yesterday and after being at the hospital with him I went back to work and ate my own weight in chocolate.
