fizz I'm on my way back from a fabulous long weekend away as we speak. I'm dreading getting on the scales tomorrow! Eeekkk... It has been worth it though! Grin Wine Cake Gin Grin

Namajesty · 22/04/2018 15:56

Just wanted to share this as it's a really big achievement (for me anyway). I can fit very comfortably into a jacket which I couldn't button up this time last month. GrinGrin I am passing all of the loose fitting clothing luck onto everyone here!!

Hoolahoophop · 22/04/2018 20:06

StarStarStar Go Namas

SesameSparkle · 22/04/2018 23:03

last my best park run was 25 something - I'd need to do a lot of work on my speed to go sub 25.

fizz I'm sure lots is just water weight and in a couple of weeks you will be able to shake off most of that excess. And I bet it was worth it! Smile

hoola I usually make up a bowl with 100g low fat Greek yoghurt or skyr, 10g porridge oats, 50g frozen berries and a tsp pumpkin seeds. I do that the night before and take out the fridge in the morning. All that is about 160 cals. I usually add an egg and some milky coffee, for a breakie that keeps me full for a good few hours.

Go maj that's great news.

Closing around 1850cals today, on account of a nice brunch, although I did at least manage 17000 steps. Let's hope it's a lighter week as I'm still chasing those last few lindas....

NanBoleyn · 23/04/2018 07:13

Morning everyone!
I did see the magic 9st 13 on a sneaky weigh in on Saturday but on my weekly weigh in this morning back to 10st flat. Am ok with that though as know I have PMT bloat this week so if I can just keep things under control should be under 10 next week. 1lb down for this week then, overall 10lbs in 6 weeks.
Must admit do find it hard not to be derailed by PMT symptoms. Voice in my head shouting eat more chocolate, crisps, biscuits!!
Good luck to all...

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 23/04/2018 07:24

Well done Nan. Great progress. You should definitely see the 9s soon. I love those landmarks.

I'm feeling my Monday morning motivation today. Salad for lunch, although I am out for tea tonight but sensible choices only. Plus everything is vegan so how bad can it be?!

Kikisdeliveries · 23/04/2018 07:48

Its taken me a week to move past holiday-eating mode but I think I've finally curbed it over the weekend. Am only 2-3lbs up now which is first time me I've dared to weigh in.

Here's what strengthened my resolve: running in no sleeve top left me with bingo wing chafing. Not happy with that at all!

FizzingWhizzbee · 23/04/2018 07:54

Nan - I was fortunate to be able to double down on my PMT eating because we were on holiday, and the holiday eating disguised itSmile. DH was less impressed with the timingGrin

Chafing is the WORST, Kiki - which is why I need to shift some more weight before my achilles is fixed enough to run on, currently hoping this will be June, so another 6-8 weeks. I'm hoping to be closing in on 12st by then.

I had a better weigh in this morning - 12st 10.8, so well over a Linda down on yesterday. I'm happy with that as a decent start for Operation Lose The Holiday Weight. And I'm going to ignore yesterday's weight for average purposes so starting with a clean slate today. Diet yesterday was so-so. I was well under maintenance, but a cheeky ice cream in the afternoon meant I was a bit over goal. No more of that nonsense this week though!

BitOutOfPractice · 23/04/2018 08:40

Morning! The scales were not kind this morning. Though, in truth, they were only being fair. Had an indulgent weekend celebrating a big family birthday. Strapped on the wagon for the week now.

How are you all doing? I'm enjoying a coffee in the very warm sunshine in the conservatory in peace

Hope you had a good time BOOP!

So far so good today...

QuimReaper · 23/04/2018 11:53

Hello everyone! I went out for lunch yesterday and ate a colossal Vietnamese meal, then was too lazy to cook when I got in so we had pizzas from the freezer. Glorious blowout Smile

Well done on the NSV Namas! And Hairspray 5lbs for 2 months "off" is fab, and as Softy says, especially since you lost, was it 4 of them in a week or something?

Fizz I think you'll have lost most of that in 10 days!

Hoolahoophop · 23/04/2018 13:03

Hello Slenderisters,

Good eating for the new week. Ive just been out and bought yoghurt and fruit for overnight oats thanks for the recomendations Fizzing and Seasame

Ive just been looking at my stats foe last week. Best ever steps. 85k calories averaged 1600 a day, good for me. Equals about a 500 a day deficit. So should be 1lb a week loss....for the work that all took 1lb seems very small. Dieting is tough.

TheHoundsofLove · 23/04/2018 13:20

Hoola It really is tough isn't it?! I was only thinking today how much of a boring slog it all is - all the effort to lose 4lbs and then 3lbs back on after my wkend away.
I'm actually thinking of giving the blood sugar diet a whirl - I think I need a bit of fast weight loss to spur me on... Has anyone tried it?

lastqueenofscotland · 23/04/2018 13:26

Hi newbies! This is a lovely thread. You’re all welcome Smile

FizzingWhizzbee · 23/04/2018 13:57

DH has sent me some links to potential birthday cakes for DD. Now I want cake. This is making dieting even harder! Grrrr.

SesameSparkle · 23/04/2018 14:14

nan kick kiki good work

fizz you definately get a clean slate and we won't tell about the ice cream as I've had some too

boop, quim I'm sure it was worth it

hoola great work on the stats, it's a slow game but with those numbers you might surprise yourself

hounds I've not tried bsd

Still on 10st this morning and 5k run first thing. Hoping for an active and consistent week here. Holidays still in sight.

QuimReaper · 23/04/2018 14:15

Hounds I think Hairspray did it!

twinkledag · 23/04/2018 16:43

2lbs down for me this week Smile

Hoolahoophop · 23/04/2018 21:16

Just so boring hounds

What sort of cake Wizz I love cake Grin

Fingers crossed for a good week Sesame

And well done twinkle Star

Ive eaten all the rubbish and no actual dinner tonight as DH has taken dd off to A&E for a check up (we have noticed a lump under the scar from her surgery) To distract myself I've tidied the house and spent 15 mins testing out the new rowing machine. It's brutal.

twinkledag · 23/04/2018 22:20

Sending good vibes to your DD @Hoolahoophop Thanks

Hoolahoophop · 24/04/2018 08:53

I don't think I like overnight oats.

Doctors were not worried about dd. Just additional bone growth so the poor thing now has a scar and a bumpy chest.Sad

How is everyones Tuesday's shaping up?

FizzingWhizzbee · 24/04/2018 09:14

Not a great start to the day - weight slightly up on yesterday (I suspect a bad night's sleep is to blame), and I've woken up still with the headache I had all evening.

I'm working from home due to some furniture being delivered, but logged in to a big announcement on our organisational structure and now wishing I was in the office to gossip about it. No news on my role yet, if I have one. WFH also means that my step count will be well down, so need to be extra good with diet.

The cake will almost certainly be chocolate, Hoola, as it is DD's favourite. We're just looking at designs, as we're thinking of getting a fancy-pants character one made, since it will be the first time she's had an actual birthday party as though we're not spending enough money on it already. Therefore, the pictures were all of Paw Patrol cakesSmile.

QuimReaper · 24/04/2018 09:33

Thank goodness it wasn't anything sinister though Hoola - thinking of the Hoops and the Hooplet. I'm envious of your rowing machine! They're fab for your back. I'm having my regular pangs of wishing I still belonged to a gym. The problem is, I have to really was such a cash sink as I did anything I could to avoid going, however much my memory sometimes shows me nostalgic visions of myself pumping away on a rowing machine or stationary bike Hmm

I just got my FitBit Weekly Summary email - if I'd taken TWO more steps - two more solitary steps - I'd have averaged exactly 15K a day! How annoying, I'd have loved that!

I got 25K yesterday and did well on the food, was a good start Smile I'm trying this cauliflower leek stilton gratin tonight, to use up all the stilton I for some reason have hanging out in the fridge. It'll be a bit of a cheesefest but if there's anything worth the calories...!

SesameSparkle · 24/04/2018 11:46

hoola your poor dd, hope things improve Flowers

twink well done on your 2lb

fizz hope your job is safe

quim impressive step count and the gratin sounds lovely

I weighed a smidgen under 10st this morning. I always round up though, so not quite at 9-13, but hope to get there in the next day or so. Today brings the challenge of a free conference lunch though and I'm starved, so we shall see how restrained I can be....

BitOutOfPractice · 24/04/2018 13:29

Hello hello!

That gratin does sound lovely Quim. I guess with stilton you don't need much to get a flavour punch. We are having freezer roulette tea tonight involving gammon steaks

Glad the docs are happy with your DD hoola Thanks

Can I have a little boast? DD1 is ding her A levels next month. She's had the score from her history course work. 40 / 40! Perfect score! I am so chuffed for her, she's worked so hard
