Welcome to the brand new shiny daffodil-strewn April thread for annihilation of the Lindas.

Everyone s doing really well bythe way - the weather helps I think, as does the need to wear fewer clothes Shock

Maybe I should try your tactic @Hoolahoophop as your weight starts with an 8 and mine starts with an 11 Blush

Had cereal for breakfast, will get a salad for lunch. Something mince-based for dinner! With more salad Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 19/04/2018 08:53

I'm having:

B: omlette with mushroom, onion and asparagus
L: small portion of turkey and pea keema with a mini naan
D: chicken egg fried rice made with slow cooker sticky garlic chicken
S: erm...dunno - fruit?

Apparently it's going to be 28 here today! Scorchio!

Yesterday was a bit of a write-off. I was fine until about 3 or 4pm and then went out in the sunshine to get my steps, but felt so floppy and exhausted, I could hardly bring myself to be bothered. Then by the time I got back I had a splitting headache. I had had gallons of water so I don't think it was dehydration. It has to have been the weather - I am not "made" for heat but it doesn't normally knock me like that, very strange!

Then I kept on snacking in an attempt to get an energy boost / ease my headache so it was a bit of a fail all round Sad I did manage about 45 mins' hooping when I got in though, which I was pleased with, as I almost didn't bother.

So that's every day so far this week that hasn't gone quite to plan... Hmmph. I'll have to gear myself up for a STS. Steps have been good though, so we'll see!

QuimReaper · 19/04/2018 10:25

Hoola WAHEY on seeing an 8! Isn't it amazing how even if it's the same old half-pound loss, breaking a barrier feels HUGE!

QuimReaper · 19/04/2018 10:54

Also I STILL have a bit of a headache today! Do you think it's possible I drank too much water and depleted my sodium levels? Or whatever that thing is? It can happen on Fast Days, it just hadn't occurred to me yesterday...

lastqueenofscotland · 19/04/2018 11:14

It’s a gorgeous day here. Already wracked up 8k steps and not even been for a run yet!

HairsprayBabe · 19/04/2018 11:33

Still no scales but went to put on size 12 shorts yesterday because of the BEAUTIFUL weather and they were literally hanging off me!

Can't have done too much damage - getting scales back on Friday - excited and terrified, expecting something like 10.2 I think.

Namajesty · 19/04/2018 13:47

Gardening all day today as they are both looking horrible. And I am even wearing a sleeveless vest top!! Shock I figured nobody was going to sit and watch me garden so I might as well do it comfortable and in the least sweaty option Grin

Lovely weather here!! You're right BOOP the weather is really spurring us all on Smile

Hoolahoophop · 19/04/2018 17:17

Boop do you think your DH would mind giving mine some lessons..

Twinkle I'm under 5ft so my 8 us quite deceiving.

Quim do you get heyfever? Ive had a headache for a few days, and the dcs were properly knocked out by the heat yesterday.

Fab feeling hairspray

You will be getting your steps in today nama

I'm right down on steps today, been running around with kids lessons (in the car) so not much opportunity. Will see what I can manage this evening to get to goal.

Hoolahoophop · 19/04/2018 17:32

I've messed up my mumsnet, can some e kindly tell me how to get back to the mobile site please?

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 19/04/2018 19:55

Hi hoola

I think if you scroll right down to the bottom of the page there's a link.

Now I need to catch up on the thread and stop hiding!

Hoolahoophop · 19/04/2018 19:58

Brilliant thanks Kick

Stellar42 · 20/04/2018 07:26

2 Linda's down over here in the non heatwave part of the country.
Hope everyone enjoys the sun. ☀️

SesameSparkle · 20/04/2018 08:24

1lb off for me this morning, making it an even 10. Smile

QuimReaper · 20/04/2018 09:11

Well HUMPH. Only 200g down on a Golden Week Sad I was really hoping for more, I'll barely be at goal by my holiday at this rate! 2 more weeks, I was really hoping to be mega low by the time I flew in order to be able to plump up a bit and not look awful at my birthday party, but no luck... I think I've decided to go shopping for a dress on Monday to find something that looks good at my chunkiest!

Hair how've you been? Still domestic bliss with the new fella? I bet when you bought those shorts you never thought you'd be chucking them out so soon for a smaller pair!

Hoop I do, I get it awfully! I haven't been suffering so far though, d'you think it could still be related?

QuimReaper · 20/04/2018 09:12

Well done Stellar and Sesame that's brilliant!

BitOutOfPractice · 20/04/2018 09:24

Well done Stellar and Sesame! Star Star

I've STS this week. It's been an OK week but not stellar so that's fair enough I guess.

Don't be disheartened Quimmy, a loss is a loss.

It is another GORGEOUS day here. I have shorts on! In April! Aged nearly 51! And I give not hoot!

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 20/04/2018 10:03

"I give not hoot"! Grin That's the spirit!

It's true BOOP, and you never know, I might have a whoosh next week or the week after. I just really don't want to be podgy at my party Blush (But not so much that I intend to exercise an iota of caution on my mini break to Italy Wink )

Speaking of which (sort of), what do you think of this as my party frock? It'll be the priciest frock I've ever owned barring my wedding dress so I only want it if it's worth it!

QuimReaper · 20/04/2018 10:04

It's gorgeous here too! I'm going to go and sit in the garden Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 20/04/2018 10:06

It's beautiful Quim but I'm not sure it's worth £229! That is very dear!

BitOutOfPractice · 20/04/2018 10:07
