I'm just starting Day 6 (though have moved day 1 to the end so it's day 7 of the plan- don't have access to anywhere to cook tomorrow in work so had to switch days so I'm home to cook the day 7 menu iyswim). Does weight loss stop/ decrease towards the end? I've been weighing myself each morning, and there's no change from yesterday (well, 0.2 lb heavier, but not much change). Bit disappointed as thought I was on target. Does anyone with any experience know if it'll kick back in? It's pretty hard going and if the last 3 days aren't going to help I wonder if it's worth carrying on.
I'm 5'6", starting weight 10 stone 9, down to 10 stone 1 after 4 days. I'm hoping to use the diet to kick start weight loss again (lost 7lb in the previous month and will continue healthy eating plan once my week is up)

It is only nine eggs and bit every day but it's to everyone's taste. I'll do it again and I'll adapt my three weeks around the plan for guidance.

Cheesybiscuits756 · 24/05/2017 13:17

I started this diet yesterday, it's not too bad and the only thing I'm struggling with is the tomatoes as I cannot stand them.

I weight 19st 5 at 5ft 7 so need to lose at least 4st, alongside this I am also eating a varied and healthy diet aswell as going to the gym, I only started it to give myself a little boost as I feel awful with the size I've got.

Goingtobeawesome · 24/05/2017 13:39

Not every day..

Good luck Cb756.

Goingtobeawesome, not wishing to argue or anything Grin but I count 19 eggs and had eggs everyday.

I think it's the diet given to people who need to drastically lose weight before an operation - and I think it's good to have the boost of losing a large amount of weight in one week. I have nothing against it, except that I felt sick on it. Stopped me feeling hungry though Wink

Do check out the Blood Sugar diet though - more variety/flexibility and similar drastic weight loss results.

Goingtobeawesome · 24/05/2017 17:22

Shoes, can't be doing the same plan as me then Grin.

ShoesHaveSouls · 24/05/2017 17:28

Ah - that would explain it. I did the one posted by Daytona79 upthread. 19 eggs in 7 days is a bit much even for me - I was nearly put off eggs for life Grin

I do like an egg for breakfast though, esp when dieting. Stops me craving sugary crap.

Goingtobeawesome · 24/05/2017 19:36

Mine is similar to daytonas but no way is it 19 eggs. I've just checked again. Just the nine.

toffeeboffin · 24/05/2017 19:46

Crikey it's hard-core that diet.

Still, 9lbs in a week! Grin👙

TitilatedOcelot · 24/05/2017 19:48

I did it a while ago as a sprint to the finish in an annual weight loss thing we do in work (weigh in at start of Jan, weight out before end of Feb, largest percentage loss wins the pot of entry fees).

I didn't win the cash, but I did lose about 10lbs that week alone. Can't remember if it stayed off for long, as I fell off the diet wagon soon after. I think it would have been ok if I had kept up the sensible eating instead of going on a carb fest of a ski holiday.

I didn't find it too bad and started to like all the grapefruit. It was called the James Duncan diet when I did it. Might try it again to kick start my summer diet.

TitilatedOcelot · 24/05/2017 19:51

This is the one I did

MrsGotobed · 24/05/2017 19:54

Surely all those eggs just bung you up?

(or is it just me that is prone to being egg-bound? Blush)

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 24/05/2017 21:56

I think the grapefruit counteract the eggs....

Howmany could I ask how much you weighed and how tall you are? I was doing SW and it's stalled. However I'd like to go back once I've kickstarted again as I quite enjoy the way of eating! I've got around stone to lose...

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 29/05/2017 11:59

I'm 5'6" and was 149lb, went down to 141, 1 week post diet 139 so haven't put it back on (yet...)

im 5'9 and 10st 13. Ideally would like to get down to 10st but even 10sy7 would keep me happy. I think i will try this for a week, starting tomorrow as I had pringles for breakfast Blush. Will update in a week if it worked for me.

BarchesterFlowers · 29/05/2017 12:26

👍🏻👍🏻pringles for breakfast 😂😂😂.

ihatethecold · 29/05/2017 19:00

Can anyone link to the diet please.

badgerread · 29/05/2017 19:12

It's upthread Barchester.

Just finishing Day 1 and TBH it hasn't been that bad!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 29/05/2017 22:31

No, it's surprisingly easy isn't it?

I'm tempted to give this a go! Weight has crept up because I snack on my toddlers left overs...

badgerread · 31/05/2017 15:28

Day 3 is hardddddd!!

beardymcbeardy · 02/06/2017 12:43

im on day 3, have lost 3lb so far. Cheated a bit on the first day, had some ice cream and ended up having a pork chop cut into my egg salad and added dressing. Yesterday instead of steak had chicken and bacon, and added dressing to my salad too. But even still doing that 3lbs off :D so far soo good today but ill admit im starving and somehow 2 boiled eggs and tomatoes doesnt seem like enough to satisfy me till tea time!

badgerread · 02/06/2017 13:25

Well done! I kind of came off the wagon as the event I was doing it for got cancelled! 😂 but I'm 2.5 pounds down in 4 days so I'm happy with that (cheated a bit on days 3 and 4) I found day 3 SO hard. Just wasn't enough. I am going to try again in a couple of weeks though and stick to it!

beardymcbeardy · 02/06/2017 14:20

well done to you too. safe to say that 2 eggs and a tomato did not do the job, but instead of reaching for a bag of crisps or sweeties, i blended some fruit and had a smoothie, so still pretty healthy Grin

WinifredAtwellsOtherPiano · 06/06/2017 18:31

Starting this today on a whim. DH, who's been skinny all his life, has just tipped over from 25 to 26 BMI, and I can't fit into half my favourite dresses. We're doing an experiment. He's playing it completely straight because he likes everything on the menu, whilst I'm sticking to the spirit but not the letter of the diet - so for example I had lunch out with friends today and had a plain protein and salad meal that would have been completely acceptable later in the week rather than plain fruit, but I didn't have my breakfast toast so it should balance out in calorie terms, and I'm eating most of my eggs scrambled in the microwave (no butter) because I don't really like them boiled. We will report back next week on who had the best results.
