So over the last few months I have been messing around trying to lose weight and getting nowhere - I am actually heavier than ever. As some of you may have seen from another thread I thought that trying something different might help so I went to my first slimming world class yesterday - unfortunately I was not impressed and I don't think it's for me. So I am using a brand new month to motivate me and spending today planning are more positive May and my meals this week. Anyone else out there also struggling but feeling positive about the new month?

Just weighed myself...lost 2 pounds since Wednesday.... so so happy....will weigh again next Wed and hopefully I can keep it off ! Delighted to have moved in the right direction. Definitely cutting the cars right down has helped and I'm less bloated too .(...happy dance ! )

Mums birthday Monday so family meal, it's a Greek restaurant so will be having chicken shish and salad, not sure I'll be able to resist a slice of chocolate fudge cake though Grin

Woke up at 8.20 and played Candy crush for half an hour before taking myself off for a run. Did another wk3 one as I haven't had chance to get out this week. Will do wk4 next week.

Ellie you have my sympathies. One of the good things about the dc getting older was I was able to have a lie in.

Well done designer I'll join ur club I also lost 2lbs :D!! Considering I thought I wouldn't lose anything I'm pretty surprised 😳

So close to losing a stone only 1/2lb to go!!

No major plans this weekend, friends coming round for a BBQ later and then working Sunday, Monday!!

Seems to be sunny now here in the midlands I just hope it stays ☀️

ellie , I lost 5 pounds the first week and nothing the next two, so my 2 pounds today = 7 pounds all together in 3 and a half weeks. It's hard going. I've another 10 pounds to get to my target! But very happy today Smile.... I remember those early starts so well but it does pass !
Ahhh...well done .lub... nearly a stone lost, that's fab !!.... enjoy the bbq!
Well done on the run panda.... you're flying it !

Good morning all ! I did level 1 of JillIan Michaels 30 day shred yesterday. I ache all over today ! It's a good sign, I know, but literally the stairs is agony this morning. Just shows how unfit I am Blush.
Not up to much today tg cos I'm so sore it's not funny Grin
Anyone doing anything nice?
I was also awake last night wit hunger..... think I need to up my cars a bit , so startight the morning off with porridge and strawberries. That should keep me going for a while.

Morning all, another beautiful day, design the shred is a killer, I never get passed level 1, but I can feel your pain! I like bodyfit by Amy on YouTube, not so much jumping around but I've noticed such a difference in my arms and legs since I've started doing it. As for tops in finding it hard to find decent ones too, they all seem so short, I've brought a nice few camisole type ones from primark recently.
lub you are killing it, a stone in a month is brilliant.
As my scales are at work I can't weigh until Tuesday but I'm sure I've lost as I'm wearing clothes that were too tight for me last week Smile

Hi Ellie, great that the clothes are fitting you...that's a great sign ! I'm trying to just weigh every Wed and Sat. Good idea to hide scales at work, cos it's tempting to stand on it every day.
I'm still sore and dI'd one of your recommended sugar pop ,you tube, work outs today. I did the Zumba one for 30 mins. ...the kids joined in, so was a good laugh. I'd say I may not be able to walk tomorrow Grin.
Thanks for the recommendation , it was a great workout....I really felt it and was sweating like mad !

Well done to everyone who's lost a bit of weight in the past couple of days!

Just had the biggest shock - I have a big bag of hemp seeds which I'd been sprinkling on all my food in LARGE handfuls - just looked at packet and there are 180 calories per 30g!!! Which is about a handful - can't believe I've been adding so many calories to my food, I'd though about 30 calories at the most!

chocolate 😂 hemp seeds!! If I've gone over my calories I'd be devastated if it were on hemp seeds I've actually eaten 300 calories over my allowance in jelly babies today--Blush
I've got a family meal tomorrow for mums birthday so I must avoid all the extras such as dips and bread as it's a Greek restaurant and I'be got a bit of a thing for bread!
I don't want to overeat as yesterday and today have been wobbly.

Well done design for doing Zumba, I've done that one and could have ordered a stair lift as I was so shaky using the stairs the next day 😂
I only managed 2 days of the military fast, went out for the day with the kids and had a cream tea Shock I didn't have any cream in my scone only jam but they were big fat homemade ones.

I jus think had a little snackcident 🙈 Just ate half a pack of chocolate digestives!! But I am poorly so I felt I needed something a bit naughty but perhaps not half a pack!!

Chocolate it's crazy how many calories are in the things that are deemed as 'healthy'! Mfp is good as it really opens your eyes how the little things really add up!!

Lol Ellie re jelly babies....they are so addictive.
Oh, I'm dreading tomorrow, I honestly don't think I'll be able to move Grin.... had a long hot bath tonight hoping it'll help. I thought the work out today wld help but I think I may have made things worse Blush..... oh no!

panda whoo hoo! That's fantastic! Let's hope I can join the 2lb gang tomorrow, my scales are at work so can't weigh today, good job really as my jelly baby feast lasted until 1am Blush I actually ate the whole bag bar the green and yellow Ines Grin
Finally got my period today after 3 weeks late sorry tmi but I'm using it as my excuse for jelly babe munching
lub snackcident is my new favourite word Grin

I've just completed wk4 r1 so feeling pretty pleased with myself Grin There's a reason I've cut out snacking between meals except fruit and that's because once I start I don 't stop. It's not just one or two biscuits it's at least half the pack, often the full pack Blush Funnily enough I don't have that problem when it comes to fruit Hmm

Oh, I'm still sore today but not as stiff ! Went for a long g walk hopi g that'll ease out the muscles... they are crying , not knowing g what is going onGrin! .... it's a good pain that's what I keep telling myself!

It'll be worth it in the end Designer :) Not only will you be slimmer but you'll be fitter too.

I have to admit I still haven't got around to looking on You Tube for the different fitness programmes but I probably won't start anything new until after the holiday anyway. One week three days to go Grin

I'll be slowing down over the next couple of weeks. Because the holiday is Thursday to Thursday I'll only get chance to do 1/2 runs next week and 1 the week after so I'm going to stick with wk4 until the following week. I don't want to attempt wk5 until I've got a full wek available.
