The vgb app has 4 sessions, which you are supposed to do for 2 weeks each, so the first one is seeing the guidelines into your head, then the second is the "pre-op" session where you meet the surgeon, the third is the operation and the fourth is "post-op". Lots of people stick with the first session though, I've mostly stuck with the first because I'm not convinced I really need an operation (even though I know it's just hypnotic, I wouldn't have a real life gastric band so I'm wary of even having the virtual one). I assume the others have an order that you are supposed to listen in, with times and weight goals before you move on. I'm thinking of trying one of the others but can't decide which.

Hi I'd like to join. I weigh12 st 10lb.weight has crept up over last couple of years. I'd be happy to get down to 10st 7. But setting myself short term goal of approx 1lb per week to get to 12 st by end of March and 11 st by end of July.
I really want to fit into my clothes again. I can't face clothes shopping as can't accept my current size. I want to look good and set an example for my kids.
My downfalls are butter and cheese with bread but also prone to buying chocolate crisps etc often 'for the kids' which I then eat.
So I'm going to start eating way more veg and a healthy dinner everyday . Soup for lunch instead of big sandwiches. No eating after 8 and no sweets cake crisps!
Not sure how I'm going to exercise more as short on time and child care. I walk our dog but have to fit in more..I have to think a bit more about it..

RandomMcRandomface · 09/01/2017 04:54

Thanks for the support Smile I'll keep doing what I'm doing with a few tweaks, then see how this next week goes.

I don't think they have SW where I am, but will look it up online ..

Awesome that's what I'm worrying about with not going to a group. I need to physically go. I'm going to try it myself and see how I go.
Keep at it random. Welcome tired.
I've made some egg muffins today, eggs, veg, ham all in a muffin case. Pretty tasty.

Soup for lunch.
Salmon salad for dinner, or pasta.

Going swimming too. (I'll probably hide in the steam room if I'm being honest)

HerRoyalFattyness · 09/01/2017 08:41

Morning. Just weighed in. I've lost 2lb this week. Yet it was only yesterday I mentioned I hadn't lost a pound! It literally dropped off overnight Grin

Stellar67 · 09/01/2017 11:20

Well done Royal!

OhHolyFuck · 09/01/2017 13:01

First SW meeting today, I've signed up for 12 weeks so am committed now 😒
Scales were worse than I thought by about a stone and a half...
Trying to not cry in a corner tbh!

MillionToOneChances · 09/01/2017 21:05

I walked to Pilates today and have been eating much better until the children forcefed me chocolate this evening

tiredwitless · 09/01/2017 21:23

Today porrige and aple for breakfast , left over Bolognese with tomato and cucumber for lunch and an apple; salmon with green beans for dinner followed by two raw carrots then more porrige because starving..
However thsts better than lots of bread and cheese which might have usually featured especially in the evening after v busy day..

tiredwitless · 09/01/2017 21:28

Been thinking about slimmers world but feel v motivated at the moment so going to go with the healthy eating on my own but if I get nowhere in a month or two I wil give SW a go

DesperatelySeeking2016 · 10/01/2017 17:43

I'm starting to wane after an enthusiastic week 1 Blush. A couple of women at work were talking about doing a weigh in together so I think i will sign up to that.

73kittycat73 · 10/01/2017 18:01

Hi again everyone. Good luck with all your goals. My goal this month is to loose at least 7lbs. I weighed in yesterday at 15 stone exactly.
Yesterday was my first day and I think I need to eat more! I had breakfast and tea but then just ate fruit (Two bananas, an apple, and a clementine.)and a 10 calorie jelly (Asda.) I was starving! So going to have a soup tonight as well and see how that goes.
I also brought a Tai Cheng DVD too. I am very, very unfit so I thought it would be better to start something gentle, to get me moving a bit to start with. When I get better with that I have also brought a Rosemary Conely Salsacise DVD to try.
I'm only going to weigh myself once a month. I have taken my bust, waist, and hip measurements too, and had my photo taken full on, and side ways. I'm going to do that once a month too.
Again, good luck fellow slimmers, we can do it! Grin

Stellar67 · 10/01/2017 18:18

Keep going desperately. It's not easy to keep motivated.

That sounds great kitty. I should do measurements. But I feel like it would get me down.

I have had a great day. Tea has been my saviour. Bought myself a huge mug and have had a cup of tea when I felt myself waning. I also discovered pocket bread. You put a filling in and stick it in the toaster. 141 cals for a pocket. I put in ham and egg.

73kittycat73 · 10/01/2017 18:34

Thanks Stellar67. Smile Those pockets sound great, where do you buy them if you don't mind me asking?

Stellar67 · 10/01/2017 20:19

Got them in Sainsbury's. But they are made by Warburton's so should be on other places too.

I think I'm going to have a tomato and tuna one tomorrow Smile

73kittycat73 · 11/01/2017 00:53

Thanks again Stellar they look really good! I'm just about to do my online food shopping so will have a look out for them.

73kittycat73 · 11/01/2017 19:27

How's everyone doing today? It's day 3 for me. I can't believe a single piece of chocolate hasn't passed my lips for three days! Shock lol
Isn't dieting boring? You spend all day thinking about it and flexing your willpower muscle and....nothing. Pig out and you put on pounds! lol

wishing4sun · 12/01/2017 07:42

Weigh In Morning aerghhhh I've been 100% on plan so hopefully a good result.

73kittycat73 · 12/01/2017 23:43

How's everyone doing? I had half a KitKat Chunky tonight. Not bad for four days though! Grin It's hard work but I'm sticking to it for now. Hope you are all getting on well. Smile

wishing4sun · 13/01/2017 07:35

First weigh in 4.5 lb lost very happy, I've been very good no chocolate no alcohol no fizzy drink.
Don't think all that is going to stick for the long term but if I can get January done I'll be proud.

Stellar67 · 15/01/2017 08:57

I got some bad news and have done nothing but eat rubbish since SadIt's my downfall. But I woke up this morning and decided to try again.

Hope everyone else did doing well.

HerRoyalFattyness · 15/01/2017 09:33

stellar Flowers
I'm down to 16st 6.4 (and TMI here, but I'm on my period and always put on a bit! Sometimes as much as 5lb... it also explains why I've been craving junk the last few days)

Stellar67 · 15/01/2017 09:46

Thanks Royal. You are doing well.

mirrorisnotmyfriend · 15/01/2017 12:19

Hi everyone, I would like to join. I'm 10 stone 7 and 5'5 with a huge belly. Just measured it and it's 43 inches - was pretty shocked as ideal is half your height or less! Going to be weighing but also measuring monthly and trying to stick to 1300 calories per day with some running and yoga, as much as I can fit in around work and kids.
