Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

every time someone says "boop" I have a dance tune in my head but I can't find it. I think it might have been based on this?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/12/2016 16:53

Boop I don't know what that is, but it looks delicious!

KikisDeliveryService · 18/12/2016 17:29

It is cool quim! Not my job though, teaching is strictly voluntary and non-profit making in our club Halo

I learnt a Bo staff form today, I felt like Monkey from the 80s badly dubbed tomb show, which I've just spent a bit of time looking for on you tube to show the kids. Even though I have it on DVD

KikisDeliveryService · 18/12/2016 18:23

*tv show. Autocorrect seems to be on overdrive at the moment!

HairsprayBabe · 18/12/2016 18:31

Well I just grilled a fucking quiche... so I am doing very well...
The top was burnt and the bottom was raw fss

Lorelei76 · 18/12/2016 18:35

Not heard of grilling quiche....

HairsprayBabe · 18/12/2016 21:00

I was supposed to bake it but I turned the wrong part of the oven on!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/12/2016 21:42

It was potatoes with melted cheese and bits of bacon. Oh lord it was good.

I am. Ow on the outside of a three course dinner which included the gourmet dessert selection. And boozy coffees. I'm a lost cause. But blimey it was nice

Oh....for some reason I thought raclette was something dead posh, it sounds like a dish I'd make.

Bunnyjo · 19/12/2016 09:27

Hello ladies! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas round here. As such, it is getting harder and harder to stick to being sensible. I've still not have any alcohol, but I have had a piece of Xmas cake, some Xmas party food and a few festive chocolates over the week. I wasn't very hopeful when I stood on the scales this morning, but I am delighted to say I am 11st 11lb. That's a loss of another 1lb - giving me a 4.5lb loss for December so far and 2st 11lb in total. I also have a NSV - I tried on a pair of skinny size 12 jeans and they fit! They will fit much better when I lose a little bit more weight, but they most definitely fit now! Xmas Smile

In less than 4 months I have gone from squeezing into size 18s to fitting into size 12s, and I feel great! I still have a way to go - I'd like to lose at least another 2st - but, if I hadn't started at the end of August, I'd still have around 5st to lose!

Not sure if I'll weigh myself between now and the New Year, but good luck all and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Archduke · 19/12/2016 10:58

Bunnyjo how wonderful! Almost 3st loss and SIZE 12 in 4 months. You are amazing. Star Star Star Star Star Star Star Star Star Star

BeyondIBringYouGoodTidings · 19/12/2016 11:04

I'm back on board today, great to see how well everyone is doing :)

Stayed the same since leaving hospital, which still leaves me down a stone overall. Brunch today is omelette with shallots, cheese and mushrooms. Dinner will be bean chilli and sour cream

Mummyreindeerlegz · 19/12/2016 11:17

Well done bunny!!

Back knackered, I think my hip injections have worn off and my hip pain is back and referring. Can't go to the gym, can't walk and eating a bit so I can take the massive painkillers.

Still hanging at 9st9. Three pounds on for December. I need to try and just be in control.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/12/2016 12:47

Oh mummy that does sound miserable. You poor thing Flowers I hope you can get some new

Bunny that is so great to read. Very inspirational. You can be so proud of yourself. Star

Heading back to Calais now via the hypermarché to buy the Christmas booze

Well done Bunny! That is amazing Smile

Beyond glad to hear you are back on board, hope you are on the mend now.

Mummy that sounds miserable. You might have said, but are you getting treatment for it?

QuimReaper · 19/12/2016 13:01

Wow Bunnyjo you are so blimmin efficient, that is incredible progress! 3 dress sizes in 4 months, I don't know how you're keeping up, you must have nothing to wear!Xmas Grin

Sorry to hear you're still in gainsville Mummy, well done for plugging away at it!

So my latest NSV is that none of my rings fit me any more Confused Sad I noticed it a while ago but put it down to the weather changing. I've already lost my lovely thumb ring, had to resign my favourite blue ring to the jewellery box, and last night I was taking and gesticulating and my ring literally flew off across the room! Then I put something in my bag and the ring just slid off so I left it in there, pretty sure I'd have lost it if I'd put it back on.

I'm thrilled to have lost weight but gutted about my jewellery! I've only lost 15lbs, that doesn't seem enough for it to have affected my fingers does it?! I would have thought only bloat and water weight would affect your hands, and that's always the first to go.

Lorelei76 · 19/12/2016 13:13

Well done all
Does anyone else find protein makes them more bloaty?

QuimReaper · 19/12/2016 13:31

What kind of protein Lorelei? Protein is super-duper filling which is why it's such a godsend for fast days (/weight loss in general) but I'm not sure I'd say bloaty as such. For instance, all I've eaten today is a hard boiled egg, I have two but one has filled me up for now so the other one's waiting its turn. I can't think of anything else for 70 calories that can fill you up for over an hour on an empty stomach.

QuimReaper · 19/12/2016 13:32

Sorry, got sidetracked by my evangelising about eggs there, meant to say it does make me feel very full, and I can feel it in my stomach - is that what you mean?

Mummyreindeerlegz · 19/12/2016 13:39

Dh has been very cross with me for not phoning my consultant to get seen asap. I just don't see the point.

I had hip surgery five years ago and can now walk (I couldn't for 18 months and was housebound) and had several good years. This year has been bad and I am back under ortho. I had excellent physio and hip injections and I have had four months where I could walk miles and go to the gym and needed no pain relief.

I'm hoping that as I had such good relief they will just do them every 4-6 months until I'm old enough for my hip to go really wrong and then replace it. In about 25 years

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 19/12/2016 18:13

I'm glad the injections help Mummy. It just sounds like things are really bad at the moment, I hope you have options to get some relief for the short term Flowers

HairsprayBabe · 19/12/2016 18:31

Hi all had a manic day at work was 12.3 thid morning so I am still -3lbs for the month I was really hoping to be 11.12 ish for christmas, dosnt look like that is going to happen now...
I don't know why the lbs have been so sticky this month tis v annoying, AF is due at the end of the week so hopefully it will woosh away if I dont go crazy over christmas

BeyondIBringYouGoodTidings · 19/12/2016 18:35

How long until you are able to have another injection mummy? If it isn't a bearable amount of time, do give your consultant a call. Nothing worse than being in pain over xmas, especially if something could be done :(

Checking in at 787cals for the day

Mummyreindeerlegz · 19/12/2016 18:37

I don't know when they'll do it, or if they'll do it again. It's made such a difference to me and I'm grateful I've had so many good months. They won't do it for a good few weeks, it was 8 week wait last time.

BeyondIBringYouGoodTidings · 19/12/2016 18:39

Is that via your consultant or GP? My GP was happy to prescribe my jabs on repeat script so I just had to get an appt to get them done. Annoyingly they didn't work for me though :(
