I'm starting out again on Friday. A bit to lose, my aim is to be where I was 2 years ago. Will be low carbing as I find it works best for me

Anyone else joining?

I will weigh/measure on the first morning

Morning all,

Hope everyone had a good weekend?
Rshard hope the good start continued throughout the weekend?

After a very indulgent weekend, my weight has gone up at 68.4kg. However, according to my daily weigh in app, it has been the same for 4 days now. If it continues for another week, then I would assume I have hit a plateau. First one since I started on this journey.

Wishing you all a good week!

Rshard · 18/07/2016 11:58

Hi hello

Yes I was good thought the gala and even fitted in a very hot run so was pleased!

I think blips are a necessary evil in all of this to be honest, still need to live life don't we?! If the weekend has been indulgent it will probably correct itself mid week?

My blip is the closure of my WW meeting, in going to go to another that the leader does but I expect the ladies who go to the original meeting will spread to various meetings and they're so lovely and supportive. I'll miss them but onwards and upwards!

Waves to all

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 18/07/2016 12:28

Hi all, am I okay to join a bit late in the game? I have a lot to loose and I've no idea what I currently weigh Blush! Keep up the good work everybody!

Rshard · 18/07/2016 14:41

Absolutely thumbs, you're very welcome

Helloheyhi · 18/07/2016 15:05

You speak very wise words Rshard Grin
I have had many blips since starting on this journey Grin and the scale goes up and down! But the overall result is going down so I am happy about that.

Well done on the run! Shucks shame about the closure of your ww meeting, hopefully your next one isn't too far off? and you have the same support and meet some lovely peeps. Have you got an end goal in mind?

Welcome thumps Flowers

Helloheyhi · 18/07/2016 15:07

so sorry thumbs I have fat fingers and a sleep deprived head!

Rshard · 18/07/2016 15:39

Thanks hello. A friend and I were having the same conversation the other week and agreed that we would be a great deal fatter if we hadn't embarked on this than we are at the moment - regardless of blips.

I'm sure the new meeting will be fine, there's plenty to choose from nearby so I'll go to another of necessary.

Initial goal is to get to 42lbs by my holiday at the end of August, so 7lbs to go as of last Wednesday. Then perhaps another stone, I'll see how I feel. Lightest I've been as an adult is 9,7 but that's a while ago and now I'm older it might not suit my face!!

What about you? Short term goals or aiming for the end result?

chuchiface · 20/07/2016 08:28

Another pound and a half off, getting there slooowly! Still not managed to give up alcohol but calmed down the snacking a bit.

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 20/07/2016 09:02

Well done chuchiface! I really need to bite the bullet and weigh myself so I can track my progress.

Rshard · 20/07/2016 09:03

That's fantastic! Well done!

I'm hoping all the sweating I've been doing the last few days is going to show on the scales

Helloheyhi · 20/07/2016 09:38

Morning all, sorry went AWOL a bit! Been rushing here and there and everywhere!!!

Rshard I hope all this sweating shows on my scale as well Grin
Your goal is sooo achievable, easily done and you will get there in no time at all. Are you going somewhere nice and hot?
My initial goal is 66kg which will put me in a healthy BMI.
My next goal is to be closer to in the lower 60s by the end of August ( my birthday ). By the end of the year, I would like to be at 57kg which was my booking appointment weight.
Pre pregnancy I was around 52-55kg. I have a small build and it suited me but as yourself I will reassess when I get there. Have you been to a WW meeting yet?

chuchi, that's great! small steps towards big goals. I find tackling one thing at a time helps me more rather than doing a few things at the same time as I get overwhelmed and lose focus slightly. So you are doing great by winding down the snacks first. Perhaps next is to find low cal options for alcoholic drinks?

thumbs go for it mate. You are brave and you can do it! If you have an iphone, there's an app called Happy scale on which you can log your weight so you can see your progress over a period of time. It's a great motivating tool to keep going.

Hope everyone is doing well?

chuchiface · 20/07/2016 14:50

Funny you should say that Helloheyhi about finding alternatives to alcoholic drinks as I've discovered I like cucumber tonic water so might try and stick to that for a while.

Rshard · 20/07/2016 15:19

hello trying new WW meeting tomorrow morning so I will report back! We're off to Majorca so really can't wait!

Think your small goals really sensible and very achievable, I find mini goals much more motivating as I think I've said before.

chuch that tonic sounds lovely, is a particular brand?

Helloheyhi · 20/07/2016 15:33

Rshard please do! Hope you meet some supportive souls tomorrow. Majorca so lush, have you bought your bikini yet Grin
Likewise, I find mini goals much more motivating and I last longer.

chuchi that's a great alternative. I read somewhere that it takes 21 days to stick to a new habit? Have no idea how true that is though!
I used to drink tons of diet coke and replaced it with sparkling water. It took some time but it did get easier. Enjoy your new refreshing drink, nice in this hot weather too!

Helloheyhi · 21/07/2016 09:26

Morning all Flowers

How y'all getting on?

Had a very nice extra large chicken pie last night. Will get seafood sticks for lunch as still bloated.

BTW has anyone tried cauliflower rice? I blitzed some yesterday and I really like it. Tastes similar nothing like rice.

Goodluck for your new meet today Rshard

Rshard · 21/07/2016 10:31

Ah chicken pie - I love pie!

A little half off this week which I'm happy with as its been dd's birthday. Might make 7 off in July a bit tricky tho!

New meeting was fine hello, this le for asking. A lady there from old meeting and another from work

Rshard · 21/07/2016 11:12

*thanks for asking! Must wear glasses!

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 24/07/2016 09:32

Hi all, how is everybody getting on? I have sorted out my scales and weighed in, I have around 6 stone to lose but I'm feeling positive about it. I'm going to start cycling to work I think to get some exercise in when I can.

Rshard · 26/07/2016 09:14

thumbs your clearly in a good positive place to be embarking on your plan! You go for it!

Superjaggy · 27/07/2016 08:53

Hello everyone,

I've fallen off the wagon yet again, but I'm back on it... Lots of you doing really well - you're inspiring me!

Helloheyhi · 27/07/2016 09:22

Morning all, how's everyone getting on coming near the end of the month?

Been super busy getting back to work here, weight was 67.7kg at the weekend. I am hoping I will be closer to 66s at the end of this month.

Super I fall off the wagon almost every week! Great that you are back on it, don't let the little hiccups discourage you.

Rshard how's it going?

Groovee · 27/07/2016 13:50

Been on holiday etc but have lost 7lbs. Really happy with that.

Rshard · 27/07/2016 14:41

groovee that's brilliant, well done! Last July weigh in tomorrow, I won't get 7lbs I'm sure but I'm pretty content as we've had dd's birthdays so meals out etc

Groovee · 27/07/2016 15:19

Thanks Rshard.

Now working towards loosing another 2.2 from my BMI

Rshard · 28/07/2016 11:40

Last WW weigh in for July this morning and I've lost 6.5lbs in the month so absolutely delighted. I'm just 4.5lbs off my holiday goal with 4 weigh ins to to go.

Good luck to all for the last few days
